So I know now that pregnant woman can eat runny eggs as long as they are lion stamped. So hubby made me a egg sandwich with a sort of runny yolk and to my horror when I went in the kitchen there noticed that they weren’t lion stamped. He knew this as we had the exact same convo with him and my parents Last week. I am absolutely mad. We normally always buy lion stamped eggs but I don’t know why he got these ones from the corner shop ☹️ I’m so so worried now I’m a worrier anyway and do not need this on top! What do I do???

Wineandrun · 29/06/2020 15:50

Honestly I wouldn’t do anything @Lollipop93, we have chickens and I regularly ate their eggs (definitely not stamped) throughout both my pregnancies. Even rescue chickens will have been vaccinated against salmonella although their eggs won’t be stamped. You can’t do anything about it now so try not to worry!

Thanks so much Wineandrun, I know I’m probably being a bit OTT but just don’t want anymore risk as I haven’t been for a scan yet etc. Your comment reallly helped to know that I’m not the only one to have did this! Hope everything’s all ok ☹️
Bubbabee · 29/06/2020 16:36

@MayBug2020 yeah the bloods and the measurement on the scan. I just hope all is ok. X

Bubbabee · 29/06/2020 16:39

@mummasoph yes I'm with you on the spots! My face is terrible. So last night I decided to try a home remedy so I wasn't wasting money. It was baking soda and water put over the spots with a cotton pad I left it to dry then cleaned off with another cotton pad and water.. got up this morning and they had shrunk and seemed to have dried out. Going to try it for a week x

Bubbabee · 29/06/2020 16:42

@IshaPoet so sorry for your loss x

IshaPoet · 29/06/2020 16:48

@Bubbabee thank you 😔

TerribleImagination · 29/06/2020 16:53

Had my dating scan today and all was well! We have a perfect (and very wriggly, hence the blurry photo 🤣) little baby!

Measured 12+1 so due date 10th Jan ❤️

January 2021 due date- bus 3!

Congratulations @TerribleImagination!

Can I ask how long it took to get your scan letters through?? I had my booking appointment 2 weeks ago and haven't heard about my scan yet.

10+4

Bubbabee · 29/06/2020 17:40

Goldings28 · 29/06/2020 17:46

Hi there I am 13 wks today ! Due date 3.1.21 first baby for me !

lilypad88 · 29/06/2020 18:22

Hi ladies!

Haven't been talking much recently, taking some time off with the family, I told my parents this week, so nice to be able to talk about it with my mum finally 😍 they actually thought I was announcing we were engaged hahaha that was funny 😂

How is everyone? Been feeling better this week, which makes me anxious 🙄 I'm really tempted to book another scan! But my 12 weeks scan is in 3 weeks now, so don't know if it's worth it... I'm just so scared of a bad surprise, I would rather earlier I guess..

@TerribleImagination congrats! Pic looks amazing 😍

9 weeks

MayBug2020 · 29/06/2020 19:06

Hello ladies how is everyone feeling today? I woke up thinking oh I don’t feel very tired but then come lunch I was exhausted so went to sleep on my lunch break and slept for 3 hrs! Now I am back in bed watching tele! Anyone else have days like this? 10+5

Sunshinedahlia · 29/06/2020 19:22

@MayBug2020 That is exactly my life at the moment! Yesterday I felt so great, cooked dinner myself and ate proper food for the first time in weeks. Stayed up till a normal time in the evening. Today has been slowly downhill: felt very sick all day and now struggling to keep eyes open. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Oh well! Smile

BabyG123 · 29/06/2020 20:18

@IshaPoet sorry about your uncle.
I swear by nausea has upped a notch at 11+ 4!

Had my 12 week scan last week but was 2 days too early for certain tests (I already told them this as knew from late ovulation and long cycles but they said it's fine) so back again next week. Can't complain as get another scan. But all is well so far 🤞🏼🥰

I’m feeling loads better now, I even go back to work on Thursday after 3 weeks off. I’m definitely starting to show too, a friend even commented! I can’t wait until we are all ‘properly’ pregnant and can enjoy our bumps and kicks and having more energy 😂 I actually did a workout video today but had to stop after 15 minutes and make a sandwich instead... meant to have my booking appointment tomorrow but the midwife was meant to phone today and let me know whether to go to the surgery or not, not heard a thing, even asked the doctor to get her to call me, nothing! So hoping it will actually happen as I’m nearly 10 weeks with no scan date yet

dixiedo · 29/06/2020 23:05

@TerribleImagination aww lovely pic xxx

TerribleImagination · 30/06/2020 06:36

@BabyG123 I’m with you there! My nausea has ramped up for sure at 12 weeks!! The past few days are the sickest I’ve felt so far 🤢 I’m hoping it’s cos this week is the highest HCG will be, before it starts to drop. Now I know all is well after the scan, the nausea can do one haha!

BabyG123 · 30/06/2020 07:48

@TerribleImagination I agree and my husband is concerned he bought me some chocolate which has lasted a week or so and not been touched 🤣

Woke up this morning feeling rubbish! Sick and tired...I thought I was getting ahead of it.

Also, been meaning to ask, has anyone had their booking appointment and been told to take taking aspirin every day after 12 weeks? The midwife told me but I wasn’t sure and forgot to ask the other midwife I saw for my bloods x

Lollipop93 · 30/06/2020 08:28

Hi MayBug2020, sorry you feel crap :( can you have a chilled day today? I think you start feeling better when the placenta takes over and that could happen from 10 weeks so hopefully you feel better soon. I feel much better than I did so I’m hoping it’s just coz the placenta has started to take over. I now feel more sick at night than I do during the day. During the day I feel quite tired and light headed not sure if you get that?

With regards to aspirin. No I haven’t been told that? Did she not tell you why?

11 weeks

Tara1999 · 30/06/2020 08:31

12 weeks 5 days today I had my scan today which was so nice to see as I suffered a MMC earlier this year, I cannot wait until I see little one again

January 2021 due date- bus 3!
MayBug2020 · 30/06/2020 08:49

@Lollipop93 oh fingers crossed. I do feel better than I did but just get the odd wave of sickness which I have had this morning which is horrible and still off my food which isn’t helping when I have an empty stomach. Lately I have been sick in the morning and then ok but feeling sick after dinner and suffering from indigestion. Yes I have been feeling a bit light headed in the day every now and then too. I will be 11 weeks tomorrow.

No the midwife didn’t really explain why she just said they recommend me and it was to take it a few times a day but I am not sure about it to be honest. I don’t know anyone who did it.

@Tara1999 congratulations - gorgeous scan picture. Mine is next Wednesday - counting down the days!!

Lollipop93 · 30/06/2020 08:55

@Maybug2020, yeah it sounds very similar to me with indigestion at night etc. We are getting there though!

Hmm I would ask another midwife or your doctor about that coz I’ve never heard that. I know aspirin can thin blood unless you have any other medical conditions that she might be saying that for I would definitely get a second opinion anyway?

@Tara1999 amazing pic! Congrats. So exciting seeing all the scans now. 9 days to go until mine. So nervous x

Sunshinedahlia · 30/06/2020 09:02

Great picture @Tara1999!
