@Ishapoet a day of mini pampering sounds like just what you need. I'm sure it will be fine - do try and do something nice for you - even if its just a walk in the sun, or an ice cream :)

Bubbabee · 26/06/2020 19:00

@CoalCraft no matter what anybody says or feels it's the most amazing thing to happen to you and your career can still happen it will be on hold for a short while 😍
The next morning my daughter came up to me and said 'mum I didn't dream it did I? You are having a baby ❤️ x

Skyla01 · 26/06/2020 19:32

@TerribleImagination is it free or do you need to pay for it? I did start researching pre&post-natal exercise but stopped when I started to feel ill and almost all exercise went out the window!

@Carabu1 I'd love to run 10k right now, let alone a marathon! Hopefully we'll be able to get back in to it once baby is here.

Wineandrun · 26/06/2020 20:17

I’m feeling the same about exercise, miss it so much, I’m also a marathon runner but can’t even walk the dog at the moment, it feels so unnatural to me to be sat around all day! I’m watching my husband do all these great cross fit workouts in the garden while I stuff my face with toast 🙈 I am actually a qualified PT though with specialist quals in pre/postnatal fitness so happy to help where I can! With my first I trained clients right up to the day I was induced, this pregnancy has been so different 🤢

MissHoney85 · 26/06/2020 20:35

Another runner here! I've run lots of marathons and used to easily bang out 25-30 miles over a weekend, the hillier the better. I cut down when TTC as I realised it was messing with my cycles, and did 3 x 5k a week. I haven't run since getting my BFP - partly psychological, partly physical. I'm not nauseous but my RHR has gone right up and I get out of breath just walking up a hill. Hoping I will be able to get back into it easily and recover my fitness eventually!

TerribleImagination · 26/06/2020 20:50

@Skyla01 It’s not free, it’s £17.99 a month I think. I cancelled my gym membership and swapped to that. I think there are some good cheaper / free ones out there though?

Sunshinedahlia · 27/06/2020 05:38

@TerribleImagination that‘s great! Thank you for the recommendation.

CoalCraft · 27/06/2020 07:33

Oops, just realised I got mixed up yesterday. I'm 12+2 today, was 12+1 yesterday.

Am lying all tucked up in bed next to sleeping DH, listening to the rainstorm and dreaming of when baby's here. It's really starting to feel real now ❤️

Have the first of several small pregnancy announcements today. Have pulled myself together, squashed the nerves and am now feeling good about it.

I am in awe of you super runners! I was always more of a walker myself and if I'm honest I don't do that enough 🙈

Lollipop93 · 27/06/2020 09:14

Happy Saturday everyone! How are we all? I am 10+4 today and this is the best I’ve felt in a long while. I still feel a bit wretched when I wake up but not been sick for a few days and I am actually eating a tiny bit more. The tiredness is not as bad and I actually feel a lot better about everything this morning. The anxiety for the 12 week scan (10th July) is still there though and it’s weird but when I’m feeling terrible I almost think this is what I’m supposed to feel like and now I’m feeling better I’m like hmmm I hope everything is ok in there!

Skyla01 · 27/06/2020 10:03

Nice to see so many other runners :) I also cut back when ttc (it took us 14months and I worried to much exercise was part of the problem). Will try my weekly run today. Did 3 miles last weekend so will try for the same today. Hoping that swimming pools are open kinda normally by the time we reach 3rd trimester- that would be a good exercise by the time we are big!

@CoalCraft aww don't be nervous try to be excited- I'm sure your family will be happy to hear the news! I have my scan in 10 days then that weekend we are visiting all the family. Won't have seen them since March. Can't wait to tell them all the (hopefully) good news!

mummasoph · 27/06/2020 10:32

Has anyone had their 12 week scan yet and their partner been able to go? Mines in a couple weeks and midwife said she'd let me know when partners are able to go again x

MeltAfterMidnight · 27/06/2020 11:25

Hello all! Got our BFP this morning and then again this afternoon when we wanted to double-check. Due date approx. 28th February. Completely new to this forum so looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Just realised I'm in the wrong thread - not a good start!
MayBug2020 · 27/06/2020 14:37

Has anyone’s sickness peaked at about 10 weeks? I am 10+3 and the nausea is still there and I am sick every morning with bile. I also feel super sick after eating and I am wondering if it’s acid reflux...has anyone else got this? X

Bubbabee · 27/06/2020 14:59

@CoalCraft good luck today 😘

BabyG123 · 27/06/2020 15:51

@mummasoph my husband came to mine this week xx

Lollipop93 · 27/06/2020 15:57

Hi @maybug2020 I’m just a couple of days ahead of you and I’ve had that the past couple of weeks. I hopefully think mines has peaked now but I don’t want to speak to soon. I ended up being sick this morning after I wrote my message that I was feeling better but tbh I can deal with being sick once a day if that constant nausea isn’t there. I hope yours will peak in the next couple of days and start easing off now too!

Wineandrun · 27/06/2020 16:58

@MayBug2020 I’m coming up for 10 weeks and I think I’ve peaked, I’ve gone the odd day without being sick and when I am sick now it’s only in the evening. The nausea has settled too as long as I eat every 2 hours!! I’m way too scared to try a day without my medication though, going to wait a bit longer for that.

nmw93 · 27/06/2020 18:33

@Lollipop93 Our scan is on the same day! I'm 11 weeks today and god all I can do is eat. I'm sick on a morning but just bile and then after about 12pm all I want to do is scoff my face. I've had my dinner about 30 minutes ago and I'm already eating again. Even as I'm eating I can feel my tummy growling!

Anyone else just got insatiable hunger atm?

mummasoph · 27/06/2020 19:05

@babyg123 aww that's so good thank you for letting me know! Glad he got to be there with you! Think my partner would of been very upset if he wasn't allowed to come x

BabyG123 · 27/06/2020 19:25

@mummasoph we paid Private last Saturday thinking he couldn't and they changed the rules the Monday 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh well!

Carabu1 · 27/06/2020 19:43

@CoalCraft how did it go?? Went down to see my parents and told them today and it was actually really nice - made me feel silly for being so angsts about it!

Got my 20 week scan appt date today and it’s not til August! Meep. Seems so long! Does anyone have any tips on how to remain calm during this weird in between bit when you still don’t look or feel pregnant?! I just want a proper bump now dammit to prove there’s something happening that isn’t just cake! From looking online looks like lots of frm bumps are really quite late?!

Bubbabee · 27/06/2020 21:09

@Carabu1 is this your first pregnancy?
God it went well sharing your news x

Carabu1 · 27/06/2020 22:50

@Bubbabee yes and very long awaited! Which is why I think I’m such an anxious mess - I’m scared of it being taken away, but equally I have nothing ‘normal’ to compare it to!

MeganC104 · 27/06/2020 23:03

Hi all, I'm 11 weeks exactly today. Nausea is starting to ease off. I've been trying not to talk about my belly. I'm a ftm and know you don't start showing til later usually however these last few days my stomach has definitely felt 'firmer' and when I mentioned it to hubbie he said he knows. He noticed it a few days ago aswell when I was lying down. Got all excited 😁
