@LexiM I read that book and found it really helpful! Explains loads and outlines all of your options. I'm also doing the positive birth company digital course although only 1/3 or so through, don't have the motivation to watch any videos lately!

Crazy how different these babies are. We found Aldi one ace and used Johnsons wipes for the first few months. At night time DD is now in the pampers dry ones. Haha. I bet this next baby will be completely different! They're just made like it to try us! Lol xx

I agree they're different- just glad my DD is potty trained two lots of changing nappies would drive me crazy
! She was dry day and night by 2yrs 10m worst thing I did in potty training was use pull-ups she just used them like nappies so as it was summer and we were getting new carpets anyway I didn't put her in pants at all (it was the 6 weeks hols so had no classes) she peed on the floor twice (def get vanish carpet cleaner and baking soda) then never did it again started using the potty! She was generally dry at night anyway but I still put her in Dry nites for a bit longer she only had 1 wet night -hope this one potty trains as easy!!
Xx

@Mummybearboo we took advantage of the lockdown to try and get potty training sorted. She was the same with pullups, just saw them as a nappy. So we just put her in knickers (disney princess ones, she loves them!) and a top and she seemed to get the hang of it in a week. I think she needed to be able to feel the wetness.
She has a pullup for her nap/bed chill time, and a pampers for night time.
Shes at that phase where she refuses to poo in the potty of toilet so waits for a nappy to do that, but I've heard that's pretty normal so I'm not thaylt fussed.
I always said I only wanted 1 in nappies at a time and we seem to be getting there. Finger crossed xx

🤞-I just out get in a dress and she saw what happened if she didn't pee on the potty she that mummy had to furan the floor instead of playing at the end if the first week she was dry in pants!

She didn't really have any problems pooing tho I know a lot of kids do -once she started weeing on the potty if she needed a poo she'd just go!

She uses the toilet now tho so we don't have a potty anymore - she's been toilet trained for almost 2 years now tho (gosh I can't believe it was that long ago) some kids have a regression too but so far she never has! She was terrified of the potty at the beginning! Xx

Great to see so many people getting organised! Anyone out there planning to cloth bum? I'm going to get some recycled disposables for the first few weeks, (kit and kin) and then move onto reusables. Hopefully at some point we'll be lucky in the ivf game and have another baby so the investment pay off.
Also, picture of pram attached!

MummyBearBoo · 15/06/2020 13:57

Hi girls, giving an update. I am continuing my pregnancy and fighting alongside my daughter until I can no longer do so. They are now looking in to how she can be helped the further I am and when she is born. Thank you all for your support that you gave me. I feel slightly more positive today and in a much better head space. How is everyone?

Zaalfruit · 16/06/2020 15:41

@babymama09 that’s really positive news. I have been thinking of you and hoping the best for all . Is this your original hospital or a different one that you have been referred to?

We are all always here For you.

(I had a full meltdown yesterday I cried in frustration I have never been so big in my life . And nothing fits me well anymore I know it sounds silly but it’s my sister bday and we are having a get together on Saturday and I don’t have time to get new clothes that’s Will arrive .)

babymama09 · 16/06/2020 17:46

@Zaalfruit thanlyou I have been thinking about all of you too and wondering how you were all getting on. Its at my hospital atm but they said I will have to have my daughter at Liverpool Women's. My hospital are informing all the teams there and Liverpool women's too so that everyone knows about the situation. They are going to ask about draining the fluid again but this might not be possible. They have also said if I can get to 28 weeks survival is a better chance as they can do more for her. Xx

FourPlasticRings · 16/06/2020 20:01

@babymama09 That's really great to hear. Fingers crossed for you both. 28 weeks isn't that far away now.

babymama09 · 16/06/2020 20:05

@FourPlasticRings thank you, 6 weeks away from my calculations, I am 21 +5 today. She hasn't stopped kicking me, I have nicknamed her lady bug. Thankyou again how r u getting on?

FourPlasticRings · 16/06/2020 20:13

Aww, always reassuring to have an active baby! I'm well, thanks. Treacle started a new thread here, if you want to pop across. It's far more active than this one is now.
