@djmbaker I'm incredibly anxious about my 12 week scan and I haven't even been through what you have been through. I cannot even begin to imagine what you must be feeling. Here every step of the way and we can all go through

Nic2908 · 05/06/2020 20:36

It together. (Sorry pressed post when I had not finished!! Haha)

Sammy161 · 05/06/2020 22:49

Thanks for all the congratulations ladies I'm glad everyone else's scans went well. Love all the pictures

Yes it was definitely a surprise this morning, my husband pick me up afterwards and thankfully he was parked when I told him otherwise I think he would of crashed the car he was so shocked lol.

Twins does run in his family but very distant relatives and nothing in the immediate family so the midwife dismissed it at my booking appointment. We were all a bit surprised to see 2 babies on the screen Grin

MaverickDanger · 05/06/2020 23:14

Congrats @Sammy161 - are they the first twins for this group?!!

I text DH after the scan while I was waiting for bloods, and his first reply was “is there just one though?” Funnily enough, it hadn’t even crossed my mind.

PocoyoandEllie · 05/06/2020 23:23

Congratulations on all the lovely scans 🥰 I am being rubbish at catching up on here! Had really weird aching in the top of my legs tonight and today had Lower back pain and cramps in my tummy 😩 already had my scan on Monday but now feel like something has gone wrong 😩

calpolatdawn · 06/06/2020 06:33

Congratulations in the twins Sammy161 x

december2020 · 06/06/2020 07:14

Congrats on all the new scans and the twins!! 👯‍♀️

Is anyone finding their symptoms are super easing?

GlassboatSailor · 06/06/2020 07:59

@Sammy161 congratulations! Wow twins! Are you a first time mum? I sort of want twins. My dad's sister had twins but I'm not sure if it passes down on the paternal side.

@PocoyoandEllie I've been having minor lower tummy cramps for ages apparently it's likely to be just where the womb is growing? And lower back pain - is it your coccyx (had to Google that spelling!) ? I've been having so much pain in mine and that's a pregnancy thing due to all the relaxin hormone relaxing muscles around there. It's so painful to sit all day! i have a desk job 😭

@december2020 symptoms definitely easing. Nausea and tiredness has been getting much better over this last week. Still there but I can handle it now 😁 still getting a few headaches - anyone else getting headaches?

djmbaker · 06/06/2020 08:19

@PocoyoandEllie I've been getting weird cramps and awful restless legs !! My midwife said my cramps sound like trapped wind 😂🤦🏻‍♀️ but it kept me up last night. I think as you start to stretch more and grow you will get cramping and aches. Especially as baby starts to get bigger! They don't stay the size of an olive for long 😬 how far along are you? I wouldn't worry yourself 💓

djmbaker · 06/06/2020 08:21

@Nic2908 Thankyou that's really kind 💓 I've got a private scan tomorrow so my partner can come and then my NHS one has been moved to Wednesday as they want me to see a consultant for the first appointment 😬 (I had an eating disorder when I was in my late teens early 20's) so apparently they like to check how you are coping mentally 🙈
It's all starting to feel quite real now.. especially as this group progresses as well.

Natt99 · 06/06/2020 08:26

Morning all, @december2020 yes my symptoms have been almost non existent for the past week and half. Didn't have many to start with but now nausea has completely gone. Never felt tired anyway but may be because we're all doing a lot less due to lockdown.
Hope they're easing for everyone who had them really bad x

calipoppy · 06/06/2020 08:29

@december2020 if anything my symptoms have got worse the last 2 days! (I'm 12+5).

I actually had a bit of a cry last night as it just feels so endless now. I know it's going to be so worth it but I'm exhausted with feeling bad every day, I feel like I'm so useless! I have no energy and I'm afraid to go out in case I'm sick. Slept for 11 hours last night and I honestly feel like I had about 2 hours sleep plus a heavy night of drinking this morning 😖

So sorry for the negativity but it's just nice to be able to talk to you all who understand how it feels! Love this group ❤️

djmbaker · 06/06/2020 08:46

@calipoppy I am with you! I feel like I've been hit by a bus most days. I feel so lazy but I'm just absolutely exhausted all the time. I get waves of nausea that literally take my breath away.
I cried last night because I just feel like I'm useless at the minute. 😩
So sorry you've been feeling so rubbish.. Really hope they start to get easier for us soon 🙏🏻

Sammy161 · 06/06/2020 09:00

Yes I'm a first time mum so with twins will definitely be jumping in the deep end with no arm bands lol, thankfully we have a good support network around us.

Nausea and other symptoms have been getting better thankfully, but I'm now starting to get aches and pains around my tummy as they are growing so much. Hope everyone else's symptoms get better soon

PocoyoandEllie · 06/06/2020 09:18

Thanks @djmbaker and @GlassboatSailor I am 12 weeks, I think I am destined to worry all the time 😂 I have had some sultana bran this morning to help in case I need the loo 🤦🏼‍♀️ Still got cramping in my tummy but not as much as yesterday x

calipoppy · 06/06/2020 09:25

@djmbaker so sorry you're feeling like this too! I have to say though it's so nice to know I'm not alone, I've told a couple of friends now and they've been great but when you're not in the middle of it I think it's hard to sympathise with how much it can get to you.

I'm sure lockdown isn't helping us either, there's so many things we would have been able to do to help us feel better that just aren't possible right now. Hopefully we'll be on the up soon!

Bumble84 · 06/06/2020 10:55

Congrats on everyone’s recent scans! Yeah just feel like the days are dragging by. Combination of waiting on a scan and lockdown I think. I’ve really had enough of Coronavirus at this point but I know it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. I just hope that by the time we have our babies that there might be a good treatment for it so that we can be a bit more social. The thought of not being able to introduce baby to people pops into my head every once in a while and gets me down but if things were similar to they are now there’s no way I’d let people come and visit. Sorry for the ramble, just having a day!

Katbaby · 06/06/2020 11:58

Morning girls feeling fed up today! 10+4 today and had been finding my symptoms much easier to manage, and then today I'm sick in a car park. Great. Erghhh feeling awful today very sorry for myself

But buzzing to see the scans and twins! How exciting.

How is everyone? @calipoppy @djmbaker sorry to hear you guys are still suffering too. Hopefully there is light at the end of this sick tunnel

To eat or not to eat that is the question?.....

@calipoppy I think lockdown is playing a huge part now in me not feeling better. I'm on my own all day 6 days a week , my partner comes home at about 7pm and that's it.. just so bloody lonely! On top of feeling like crap... I think I'm feeling sorry for myself 🙈🙈

Sounds like we are all having a rough day today.. it's so nice to know your not alone though!! 💓

GlassboatSailor · 06/06/2020 12:51

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling so rubbish. I know the feeling! it will get better.

I'm ashamed to say I was so desperate for a pee this afternoon I made my husband stop the car and I climbed over some poor persons gate and peed behind their stack of logs 🥺 oh god hope noone saw. I was about to wet myself in the car! Thing is we were only out the house 1.5 hours and just 20 minutes from home! And when we got home I had to go again straight away! 🤦 And I purposefully didn't drink much just a tiny bit of water. 😭

calipoppy · 06/06/2020 14:29

Sounds like a pj and rom com day for a lot of us today! My mum reminded me this morning when I was moaning to her that when I'm resting it's to give the baby strength 💕 so we all need to remember that! We're being the opposite of useless and lazy!

GlassboatSailor · 06/06/2020 14:39

Well said @calipoppy
❤️

Katbaby · 06/06/2020 15:42

Love that @calipoppy! Felt better this afternoon but extra tired, fell asleep watching jumanji on Channel 5 hahaa. Hubby is in the garden working out and I'm now sat with a bowl of cherries and dark chocolate haha!

Hi guys,

New to this group!
Currently 10+4, due the 29/12 ☺️

I've had 2 early scans due to loosing 2 before this one!
My 12 week scan is on the 12th however a little early!

I'm an absolute wreck worrying something will be wrong when I go!

Katbaby · 06/06/2020 18:25

Spoke too soon about feeling better

Cherries and dark chocolate make for a terrifying looking vomit....
