@Natt99 I have a similar situation at work, my big boss is talking about creating a new role for me but it would be fixed term up until when my maternity leave would end... gutted cos it sounds like a really good role. Haven't told her I'm pregnant yet, haven't found the courage 😬

Its such a drag before the first scan, i find. Oh i hope it goes fast for you Bumble84 nowt worse than waiting, especially in lockdown.

@LoveSunshine01 oh no, Sod's law isn't it?! Would it still be possible for you to take the role, work for these 6 months then get someone to cover that role? They can't discriminate against you due to pregnancy but appreciate it's fixed term so might not be worth it.
Maybe it's not meant to be though and if you could've gotten it now, there might be a similar one waiting when you return.

@Natt99 yeah I'm permanent at the mo so it would be silly to change 😔 never mind! Hope your scan goes well and you can surprise your line manager!

Oh, yes definitely best to stick then. Hopefully it'll act as a confidence boost for when you return.
Thank you very much, they said today that we might be wfh until next year so people at work might never see me pregnant 😂 will save a fortune on maternity work clothes!

My scan is tomorrow as well, feeling nervous especially as my husband can't come with me. First time mum so not really sure what to expect but just want to be sure everything is ok .

@djmbaker aw my love 💖, you're allowed to feel nervous and have all the feelings before your 12 week scan, especially after what you've been through. And good thinking on the earlier scan with your partner to have someone there to hold your hand. I haven't been through the same situation, so I know it don't "get it" in the same way (and not sure if any of this helps) but sending you lots of cuddles for Sunday!

i did that once as it was later than it should have been id filled up and couldn't wait lol,

@calpolatdawn #sammy 161 When I went for my scan on Wednesday I had actually drank too much water! The sonographer had the thing on my tummy for a second before sending me off for a pee! I was so embarrassed 🙈

I've done it - I've ordered some maternity leggings, a bigger top, a bigger comfier bra and the first onesie last night...
Hopefully this hasn't jinxed anything, but I'm struggling to comfortably fit into most things now!

My wretching has got worse again last 2 days, sick again yesterday morning. It's the weirdest things triggering it now, eg this morning I went to the loo and came back to the bedroom and got set off by the room being dark and the unmade bed?! Can't explain it but it's like anything that's not really clean and fresh just gets me so badly the last few days! Pregnancy is WEIRD. 😂

@calipoppy I'm with you on being triggered by strange things. The other day I was sick because I saw someone eating scrambled eggs on tv. I cant wait for the nausea and sickness to go away

Thanks, the scan went ok, im further along than originally planned im due on the 13th December, so 12 weeks 5 days 😊

Hello everyone! I had my 12 week scan this morning and saw baby for the first time. Everything was looking as it should and the relief is amazing! Estimated due date of 14th December! Good luck to everyone else with their 12 week scans 💞

Hi all, sorry for the delay posting after today's scan. It all went well just a bit shocked to find out that we are expecting 2 babies and not 1 🤣😍 thankfully both twins are looking fine and healthy, I'm measuring just over 13 weeks.
We are obviously shocked but very excited, I now have a lot more appointments than expected 😂

@Sammy161 oh my god!!! Congratulations... wow weeeeee that's a shock isn't it? How wonderful though!!! Haha that's not something you expect to be told is it .. hope your ok 💓
