Thank you all 🥰 getting to the end of the first trimester is the best feeling, the sickness is finally starting to settle but the tiredness is still the same, I have to force myself through the day if I don't have a nap!
Is anyone going to have an early scan to find out the gender or going to wait? I don't think I can wait until 20 weeks I'm so excited to find out xx

@Kirsty9130 I'm going to find out with a gender scan, the clinic near me scans from 16 weeks I think! No way I can wait 😂😂 I am sooooo impatient.

Love the Doppler idea, my midwife said I get an appointment with her at I think 18 or was it 24 weeks (I can't remember) where she will use one on me , which is cute as Jordan can be there for that and obviously can't for the other NHS scans.

@djmbaker haha yes I'm exactly the same, I had a 16 week gender scan with my DS, my other half said we should wait until 20 weeks but that feels like forever away I need to know 😂

I had a Doppler when I was pregnant with DS as I had an anterior placenta so didn't feel him moving until around 25 weeks, it was okay but it is tricky to find it sometimes and can make you anxious xx

Yehhh I don't think I'll be buying one. I am trying to do everything to make me not anxious so I think it's best I just keep going for scans 😂😂

I can't wait for all these stages, the first trimester is bloody hard isn't it?? It's just full of doubt and worry.. and sickness!! 3 weeks to go and I'm out of here 😂🙏🏻

Morning everyone, hope you're all doing ok. I had my scan today and I'm 12 weeks tomorrow so due date of 11th of December, which is more or less what the midwife had said. Bean was wiggling and jumping away and waving its arms around. It was so lovely to see. It was in an awkward position though so wasn't as clear as it could have been.

@SettyBuarez yay!!! Congratulations that's amazing 😍😍😍😍 what a relief it must be to see that. Can't believe the 12 week scans are starting 🙏🏻💓

@djmbaker It really was, I'd convinced myself that something was wrong or there wouldn't be anything there and when she pointed out the heart flickering away I just burst into tears!

Are we all managing to convince ourselves that there’s something wrong?? I think that’s probably just normal at this point right??

I’m so glad that’s the 12 week scans starting and pray that all go well. Mine isn’t till June 17th, probably one of the last. After that hopefully we can all relax a bit!

I haven't had my letter yet! Hope it comes soon with my scan date!! Can't wait to have something else to count down to!

Are you all using the maternity notes app? My scan came up on there before I got my letter...15th june and I should be 12 +1...longest wait ever now xx

Mine is Monday and I am so anxious and convinced it will have gone wrong its awful 😩

I’m in the same boat - we’ve now told parents but I’m still convinced there will be bad news on Wednesday.

I’ve had three friends and a family member all announce pregnancies in the last month, plus I’m going to be an Aunty again in August, and just feel things would be really difficult and upsetting this year if something has or does go wrong.

@Bumble84 I'm 💯 like that! Even after my scan on Sunday.. where I saw a heartbeat.. I'm now desperate for another scan to check again.
I'm not sure it will ever go though, I think this is it now until they are 18 at least!
My appointment hasn't come through yet, I'm hoping this week .. my midwife said they have a huge backlog at the hospital as there has been so many new pregnancies 😬

Had my 12 week scan today as well! Was in the hospital for 2 hours 😩 everything took forever!
But everything is OK, so all worth it! Due date 12th Dec, measured 50.8mm. Baby was rolling around having a wonderful time!

Thread one ladies, before we all got morning sickness I remember some of you were doing pregnancy pilates, was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of any good resources?? My normal pilates isn't appropriate for pregnancy and I can't do yoga for health reasons!

I am so sick of feeling nauseous... I feel bad as I've never actually been sick. Dry heaved 3 times is all. But literally feel sick aaaaaalll the F**ING time! It's getting me down.
Here's hoping it subsides soon.

My 12 week scan is on 9th June and if all goes well we will tell everyone. Noone knows except hubby and I (& midwife!). Can't wait!

Also anyone else keep randomly sobbing for literally no reason? Just me? No?

@GlassboatSailor I'm with you!! Same, haven't been sick at all but just feel so unwell all the time!! Ladies who have had their nhs scans, were your partners allowed in? xx

In my letter for my 12 week scan it says you have to go by yourself, no partners. And no calls/facetime/photos either!

No one allowed in with you at my hospital but says they will give free pictures.

Also crying all the time, watched a video on facebook earlier of a lady singing at a care home and cried my eyes out 😩

@GlassboatSailor yep, crying at the drop of a hat: adverts, crappy comedy, the fact we'd run out of cheese....

@lc86 No partners at my nhs scan - they put it up on the fb page today saying they still can't allow it

@Marshmallow1102 2 hours?! Was that just the scan or did you have bloods too? Glad everything was ok!

Anyone who hasn't had their bloods done so far, has your midwife mentioned anything about the tests for sickle cell? I was reading the NHS website earlier and came across these tests and it said they should be offered to everyone and done before 10 weeks... I've had nothing said about it so wondered how important it is?x

I had my 12 week scan today but as I haven't actually hit 12 weeks yet they've rescheduled for 8th June! I'm happy with that, another chance to see the baby! They mentioned when I was rebooking that it's unlikely partners will be allowed in by then so looks like they're excepting solo visits for a while still x

@Jasminex1 I had first bloods done today and the midwife said sickle cell was one of the things they check for. I think I’m slightly over the 10 week mark though so if it should be done before then I’ve no idea!
