@calipoppy yeah I've suffered pretty bad from 6 weeks, managed to keep some tea down now so fingers crossed it stays there 🤞🤞🤞
Thank god my husband has been so amazing and supportive, he keeps saying how useless he feels but he doesn't realise all the things he is doing to help, its very endearing bless him. I said he might as well get used to feeling usless until the baby is here then he can make up for it I said 🤣🤣🤣

@djmbaker I'm gonna give it another week, see if I'm past the peak and if not in gonna consider calling about it. My mum said she was sick up until 6 months with me but after the 12 weeks it was only once a day. Wonder if I will be the same 🤔 hope you feel better soon too! It is all worth it when we see our little beans ❤️

Hello ladies, for some reason I couldn't find the thread for days and it's just popped up!

I am so deeply sorry to see there has been a lot of sad news over the past few days ThanksThanksThanksThankstake care ladies. Xx

I am 8+4, still feel sick but eating a lot of rubbish. Haven't had a scan yet it feels like ages away still.

ElectricTonight · 25/05/2020 20:55

Has anyone had any cravings ? I keep wanting to drink vinegar Envyeven typing that has made my mouth water! Completely gone off of chips, tea, fizzy drink, even chocolate so suppose that's a good thing but I can't stop eating potato salad. 😂🙈

calipoppy · 26/05/2020 07:56

@ElectricTonight I'm still on aversions more than cravings! I can't stand so many smells but right now especially garlic and onion which is annoying because it's in soo many things!! I just had to sent my husband out of the room because I thought I could smell garlic on his clothes haha 🤦‍♀️

djmbaker · 26/05/2020 08:35

No cravings really.. apart from I'm desperate for a McDonald's Diet Coke 😂😂 but there are no mc Donald's open near me.. honestly I could drink one now!! 😩
I don't want to eat anything as I feel so sick sadly, I get sad about meal times as there's nothing I want apart from bread and bananas.. still can't bare the thought of ham.. I have these pasta twirls in the cupboard and the thought of them makes me gag weirdly.. and melted cheese 🤢
Still smells for me... my bloody house stinks and I don't know what what of.. my partner thinks I'm mad! I have to hold my breath when I go into my bathroom! So weird. (I'm very clean so it's not dirty 😂)

PocoyoandEllie · 26/05/2020 09:13

I am still heaving at the sight of the fridge, it is driving me mad now can’t even walk in the kitchen without heaving 🤢

djmbaker · 26/05/2020 09:13

Oh and I only like my drinks through a straw 🙈🙈🙈 what a diva!

calipoppy · 26/05/2020 09:18

Hahaha honestly this group gives me so much comfort that I'm not being weird or pathetic 😂
I just threw up, that's only the second time I've actually been sick, both times it's been the day after I've been in the sun (not for long either only an hour max!) I'm wondering if somehow pregnancy has made me weirdly sensitive to the sun... I wouldn't call any symptoms unlikely at this point!!

Also big respect to the girls throwing up most days, I couldn't hack it I don't think!

Katbaby · 26/05/2020 09:41

@djmbaker I can't stand the smell of my bathroom either! Think it's because I have my head in the toilet all the time! Haven't been sick (yet) today, managed a Porridge this morning and also have a little bit of energy so trying to get some cleaning done since I am quite a clean freak but haven't been able to clean in over a week so the dust and mess is actually gonna get destroyed today I hate living in a mess!!

Yesterday was definitely peak brutal for me. Hoping for a better day today 🤞

How long did people wait after their booking in for the scan letter to come? I can't wait for a date

@e@ElectricTonight I just thought have you heard of shrubs? They're basically vinegar turned into cordial, I think it tastes so nice and you would probably love it right now haha! Just googled and you can buy some on amazon, quite expensive but might be nice as a www.amazon.co.uk/Coxys-Cocktail-Shrubs-Raspberry/dp/B07N5FXSSX

SettyBuarez · 26/05/2020 11:40

So sorry to hear of the losses. Take care of yourselves. Flowers

I'm at about 11 weeks and my sickness is so much worse now than it was earlier on. I've just been to the supermarket and really thought I'd have to pull the car over. :(

@Katbaby it took about 10days to 2 weeks for my scan letter to come through after my appointment, but that could just be my area.

ceebee21 · 26/05/2020 11:46

Hi all,

hope you are all keeping well, and so sorry to hear about the losses. Flowers

Has everyone received their 12 week scan appt?
I still haven't had anything - had my booking in appt on Friday though

xx

Katbaby · 26/05/2020 11:57

@SettyBuarez sorry to hear your sickness is worse! I was expecting about that but in 2 weeks I'll be 11 weeks so leaves it quite tight! Suppose i don't have any other plans in this lockdown haha. Underestimated how much of a waiting game pregnancy is!!

YahBasic · 26/05/2020 12:02

My scan letter came through about 3-4 days after my booking in appointment- had the app on the Thursday and think I got the letter on the Tuesday?

It could be because we have the booking in appts between 8-10 weeks, and I was 9+5 at mine, so maybe had to get it sent out quick!

So hopefully will be next couple of days for you @ceebee21

ceebee21 · 26/05/2020 12:03

@YahBasic

Thank you, hopefully mine will come through in the next couple of days

x

calipoppy · 26/05/2020 14:34

Ah I just got back from my scan! It was the most amazing thing ever ❤️ everything is fine, the baby was wriggling round all over the place so it took her ages to get a measurement 😂 but they've put me at 11 weeks exactly so almost spot on what I thought. So so happy! And I'd also highly recommend window to the womb, great experience!

makingababy · 26/05/2020 14:46

That’s great @calipoppy 😊🥰

Anyone else reeeaaaallly struggling to focus on work today? Wfh when the sun is shining is getting harder all the time!

djmbaker · 26/05/2020 14:53

@calipoppy yay!! Congratulations how exciting 💕

calpolatdawn · 26/05/2020 15:01

fantastic calipoppy, congratulations

Jasminex1 · 26/05/2020 15:02

@calipoppy congratulations! 🥰

@makingababy yes 😩 the sun shining outside combined with counting down the days until my scan is making work unbearable!

calpolatdawn · 26/05/2020 15:02

Im braving a family walk, ive been a recluse for weeks due to being so ill with MS, wish me luck Confused

LoveSunshine01 · 26/05/2020 15:16

Hooray! Congrats @calipoppy 😁

Yep def struggling to concentrate with work, but don't have too much on atm so trying to enjoy it! Took a long lunch break today and went for a swim in the sea. MAN it was cold, but made me feel so much better!

Good luck @calpolatdawn - take a snack if they normally help, I seem to always get caught out half way round a walk...!

Katbaby · 26/05/2020 15:19

Afternoon everyone, so I've just had a call from the hospital, been referred for my arthritis but I told him that I don't take the meds anymore so don't need another review until 20 weeks.

However I have been advised I will get extra growth scans at 32 and 36 weeks due to lower bmi at booking in. Anyone else getting extra scans?

Feeling much better today so trying to get plenty of fruit in me today while I can stomach it. I really enjoyed some fresh juicy strawberries!

ReocBr · 26/05/2020 15:21

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking of maybe having the early scan privately, have many others had this? Also, the blood test that looks for certain abnormalities, have many had that?

Also is anyone on this thread from Edinburgh? Smile

ReocBr · 26/05/2020 15:22

@Katbaby I can't get enough strawberries either!!
