@Bigcheesey oh my god! How funny is that. I was wearing a cream coat and flapping around 😂😂 ?? what a small world it is. Fab place isn't it? I wasn't sure as we pulled in but amazing.

Nic2908 · 24/05/2020 19:20

@Natt99 she did give me the name and the contact number of who was going to be my named midwife based on which gp I was registered with, so she must be a community midwife I am guessing?
Harmony test is £400 and I know it's not for everyone but it is something that I want to do personally if that makes any sense at all.

Natt99 · 24/05/2020 19:59

@djmbaker mine was only 2.4 at 6 weeks 😬 It grew a day to be only 1 day behind the estimated due date whereas it was 2 behind before 😂 must be all the carbs!
Me too, I would go mad knowing that I could find out the gender, hate surprises!

What does everyone think they're having?
I think a boy as I haven't had bad sickness, it's supposed to be worse with girls, apparently.

@Nic2908 I assume you'll get to meet her or speak on the phone at 16 weeks. Hope she is nice.
Thanks, I will look into that test. If it puts your mind at rest then you can't put a price on it x Especially as you're a nurse, you probably see more things than most of us x

Hi all, I haven't posted too much this week as was feeling quite crappy with pregnancy symptoms and was waiting to post my scan today. Sadly, they were unable to find a heart beat and the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. Devastated especially as I had been feeling so pregnant and it had taken two years to get to this point. But I just wanted to update before I come off the thread. And I know there have been some losses over the last few days as well- I'm so sorry. I think it will help me to connect to others going through the same experience so I will try to do that over the coming weeks. Let's do whatever we need to to get through this. And I wish everyone else the best x

Natt99 · 24/05/2020 20:32

Bad news from me as well. Scan this morning showed baby's heart stopped at 8 weeks. Good luck to all the rest of you and your Christmas babies x

Hi ladies, another piece of sad new I'm afraid. I just had a feeling so went for a scan today. Baby's heart stopped beating pretty much straight after my first scan at 6 weeks.
This is my second consecutive missed miscarriage, both ending at 6 weeks. I'm 39 with a gorgeous 2 year old and we've decided she is more than enough to complete our family so we won't be trying again.
I really wish all the best to you all. Thank you for the support over the last 7 weeks xx

calipoppy · 25/05/2020 14:21

Oh girls I'm so so sorry for you all what a horrible string of bad news. My thoughts really are with all of you, it's such a hard time and I know there's really nothing anyone can say to make you feel better ❤️ take care of yourselves xx

billystrikes2 · 25/05/2020 17:42

Hey everyone. I'm new here, due 22/12/20 with baby number two. It's been a rough ride so far, I had covid at week 5, which was rough but I had it fairly mildly. Then the sickness began and is yet to leave 🤢🤢. I'm 10 weeks tomorrow so not long now till the second trimester! I booked a scan at 8 weeks as I was so worried that the covid may have affected the baby but all was well then so I'm feeling hopeful

I'm so sorry to read of the losses some of you have had to go through. My heart goes out to you xx

Natt99 · 25/05/2020 18:17

So sorry to hear, thinking of you all x

calipoppy · 25/05/2020 18:55

Hows everyone been today? My sickness seems to be getting worse today along with headache, I'm 11 weeks today. Not sure maybe it could just be nerves as I have my private scan tomorrow and can't help feeling a bit anxious! I know it's out of my control but still a worrying wait.

Hope sickness is easing for some of you!

Rnic1x · 25/05/2020 19:25

Has anybody else had any low down pelvic type light cramps? I'm 10+1 so I'm not sure if it's growing pains to make room for baby or what?...

Nic2908 · 25/05/2020 19:46

@Rnic1x I have been getting period cramps since the beginning not constant but every now again. I've started getting one or two sharp pains and I'm choosing to believe its round ligament pain in order to stay relaxed.
@calipoppy good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Katbaby · 25/05/2020 19:48

Evening. My sickness is really bad now, numerous times a day and sometimes in the night. 9 weeks tomorrow so hoping Im getting to the peak!

Gutted to hear of more losses in the group, my condolences to you all.

Really want to eat healthier but trying to keep anything down is a challenge at the moment! How is everyone else feeling

OP posts:
calipoppy · 25/05/2020 19:52

@rnic1x yes the last few days I've noticed more cramps than usual and I think I'm a few days ahead of you so hopefully just our bodies making room!

@katbaby feel so sorry for you! It feels like you have had bad sickness for so long now ☹️ mine started to calm down halfway through week 9 really hope you have the same!

Nephele · 25/05/2020 20:00

Hi all, I have only posted once but have been following everyone’s stories - sorry to hear of all the losses.

I had my early scan today and my dates were way off - I’m no longer expecting a Christmas baby - it’s now January 2021. Consultant said I am just under 8 weeks but all is looking good thankfully.

Wishing you all the very best for your December babies!

djmbaker · 25/05/2020 20:03

@Katbaby oh bless you!! That is rubbish. Why don't you ring the docs and get some anti sickness?
They say 9 weeks you will feel more sick as it's the peak so hopefully it will calm down soon.
I only say that, as my sickness has been horrendous today.. I've been sick 4 times which is a lot for me when I've only been sick normally once a day.. my midwife said it's because I'm 9 weeks and hormones are going nuts!! I just keep thinking of the little bean I saw yesterday and telling myself it's all worth it 🙈🙈🙈

Don't worry too much about food, keep yourself hydrated and eat whatever you can. So sorry you feel so poorly xx
