I had just noticed we were on page 40 and would need a new one soon. ☺️ Thanks for making a new one.

Quiffy · 03/05/2020 07:31

@Treacle81 hope you and partner are okay, birthdays are hard times ❤️ thank you for new thread!

@roarfeckingroar congratulations on your baby boy 💙 has your dp changed his mind?

@bluemoon2468 congratulations on your boy too 💙

@Buzz22 Shame on leg crossing but yay on baby looking good in scan ❤️❤️

@BntTowers gorgeous blanket!!

We did a crazy thing last night and now I've not slept for anxiety. There's a set of nursery furniture on ebay I've been watching for awhile. Last night we had a family call and I was saying about how I hadn't seen nicer for me (it's dark wood and looks super solid from VIB, with a big sleigh cot and was on super cheap as secondhand and they've reduced the price). Dh asked to see and next thing he'd bought it and was arranging a moving van 🙀🙀 Im super excited but now have in my head I've jinxed baby and lots of stuff needs moves. We've not even sold our other bed 😅😅 it's so gorgeous though. I saw similar new for £1300 on sale so we'll save over a grand

Treacle81 · 03/05/2020 07:34

Morning! Thanks for new thread, can’t believe that’s part 4! Congrats on the boys and girls so far, so exciting!! 2 wks on Tues for me! As new thread can’t see names but whoever it was that’s partner doesn’t want to know sex, maybe sit him down and explain how much it means to you (especially that you don’t have family and friends) to share it with. I have been fine (better than normal, I have IBS) with toilet until maybe a few days ago. I was really bad at start of pregnancy also, though that was down to the iron on the Pregnacare. Warning with lactulose, it can produce wind, which for me was v painful so I try and stick with plenty of water and dried apricots (doubt I could stomach a prune). 3 a day seem to make me go fine 😊 working overtime today (baby cash) meant to be another nice one, enjoy girls 😎. Oh as for the baby movements someone mentioned, for me it feels a bit like waves or a lava lamp and I can see it at times, a fortnight ago was more than now but heard baby could be more toward my back as still v small xx

Treacle81 · 03/05/2020 07:40

See names now! @Quiffy that’s a great bargain, beautiful furniture! Please don’t worry, I have already purchased and have my pean and crib already! I think tbh we have to be a bit more organised due to current circumstances. I’m not planning on setting anything up till 30 wks tho and won’t buy anything else till after 20 wk scan. Oh it’s so special when you get things made for you, that is lovely @BntTowers! @Buzz22 thankfully that wasn’t your 20 wk! You’d have prob ran a mile and done anything physically possible for that baby to move 🤣xx

Treacle81 · 03/05/2020 07:46

Pean ? Lol pram xx

booroo · 03/05/2020 07:59

Congrats on all the scans girls can't wait for mine a week and 5 days seems so long Grin

Buzz22 · 03/05/2020 08:06

@Treacle81 I know! The lady at the private scan had me on all fours rocking side to side, star jumps, jogging on the spot. DP thought it was hilarious! Baby would flip and roll over and stretch out arms but kept its bum pressed firmly against the wall of my uterus and legs crossed. No way was it letting us know for sure! I hope it's more cooperative at 20 week scan...or maybe just stubborn like its mother (that's what my partner said!)

bluemoon2468 · 03/05/2020 08:20

Thanks for all the congratulations everyone 💙 It's finally sinking in that I've got my little boy. Might be a bit unusual for a woman (not sure 🤷🏼‍♀️) but I've always wanted little boys since I was young, and have never been fussed about having a girl. Fastfoward to being pregnant and I think I've spent the last 18 weeks convincing myself it's a girl to make sure that I wasn't disappointed if that was the case, which I wouldn't have been. But not going to lie I am so thrilled I got my little boy 🥳 DH pretended he wouldn't care either way but I saw his face when we found out, he definitely wanted a boy 😆

@LexiM to answer your question from the old thread, some people know we're finding out but not telling people. It's going to be challenging but I have a friend and also a cousin who have both managed it so we're going to try! For people who are less close who ask I'll probably just say we don't know for ease!

Quiffy · 03/05/2020 08:31

@Treacle81 definitely feels like we need to be more organised when there's no guarantee when this will slack off. I'm trying to hold off on pram as much as possible as I just know my mum would love to go to a pram shop and look. I just can't say no to a bargain when I see it 😅😹

Spark27 · 03/05/2020 08:35

Morning all. Thanks for setting up the thread @Treaclepie19. Can believe we're on thread 4. We'll have so many by the time they arrive.

I cant remember who asked, but reference constipation I find half a glass of orange juice in the morning helps for me and stops things being a bit....sluggish.

Woken up with another headache. Why? I'm not drinking. How is this fair? You'd think with this long off the booze we'd skip out of bed every morning like a disney character with birds singing around up. But no. I feel like hell, but without the joy of a boozy night before. Going to try and solve it with a sausage muffin.

Dont feel bad about buying stuff. It sounds like an amazing deal. And if DP is on board you've got to maximise on it.

CouscousEvaporator · 03/05/2020 08:56

Thanks for the new thread!!

Regarding constipation, my trick is to get a heat pad and put it on my left side (descending colon) leave for 15 mins then I’m running back and forwards to the loo for about an hour 😂 I also practice my down breathing hypnobirthing 😂

@Quiffy that’s amazing about the nursery furniture!! Sounds lovely x

LexiM · 03/05/2020 09:42

@Treaclepie19 thanks for making a new thread!

@Quiffy I think when a good deal comes up you’ve got to go for it, we did the same with a cot in great condition last week. In a way I think it could make you get on with things/be more organised when you buy stuff.

@bluemoon2468 thanks, we have told a couple of people we are finding out but I did say since my husband can’t come to the scan we aren’t sure so I think we might say we changed our mind until he’s able to find out with me. So happy for you with a boy, I know what you mean about conditioning yourself, my husband would prefer a girl so I keep saying he/it’s a boy in case it is...I will be the shocked one if it’s a girl 😂

Zaalfruit · 03/05/2020 10:59

Ohh I need to start buying stuff !! Feeling anxious as I have brought nothing yet . My bedroom all the furniture is mirrored so everything I buy I want it to be grey as all my furnishing is grey - seems like the prices of stuff are higher when you select or search for grey . Decided I will be buying a Moses basket for down stairs saw a cheap one online for under £40 and the snuzpod 3 the moment I have my 20 week scan .

I feel scared to tell others the gender in case they are disappointed with the gender - I don’t know why I am like this?

Also craving a maccdys breakfast so badly . I want it all a coffee , hash brown , McMuffin

HerondaleDucks · 03/05/2020 12:05

Congratulations on all the scans. Sorry I've just caught up.
2 boys!! Amazing.

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 13:33

2 weeks on Tuesday til my 20 weeks scan I'm with the rest of you -it also seems ages away!! Just want to know everything is ok on the anomaly scan!! I've already had genetic testing done so there shouldn't be any chromosomal abnormalities at least I just hope my baby girl is ok - I feel really nervous about it I didn't even realise it was a scan for anomalies with my first so I wasn't nervous at all - I was so naive!! Xx

otterbaby · 03/05/2020 13:52

Can't believe we're already on thread 4 😱

@Zaalfruit I'm sure nobody would be disappointed! Has somebody said something to make you think that?

HerondaleDucks · 03/05/2020 14:28

I'm one day after you @BooMamaBear 20th May.

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 15:22

@HerondaleDucks -does it feel ages away to you?

It's worse coz I'm feeling totally paranoid as this is my 2nd pregnancy (where I've got past 13 weeks 4th overall) and I have a posterior placenta so I'm thinking if everything is ok I should be feeling move by now -I sometimes think I do but I'm not sure so I'm worried that I'm not feeling her move and that is coz there maybe something is wrong I'm 17 weeks today -am I being crazy?? Xx

Quiffy · 03/05/2020 15:49

@BooMamaBear not crazy at all. I've not felt movement (17+6) and it's worried me. I tried to get a private scan but they're full booked until just before my NHS scan (which is May 28th). Feels an age, but midwife told me not to worry as can take way into 22-24 weeks to feel movements. Definitely hard not to worry with your loses but everything should be fine ❤️

@Spark27 @LexiM @CouscousEvaporator thanks guys. Excited to see it all set up and less worried now I've seen others have bought stuff too. Dh told me to get the crazy hormones in check 🤣

@Zaalfruit moses basket sounds a great idea. I've seen a few really nice grey sets on gumtree and eBay close to me (I just search 50 mile distance) with lots of bargains for excellent condition. Wafair also have some lovely grey too for not too scary prices. Agree grey seems to be most expensive!

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 16:07

@Quiffy -is this your first tho? It does take longer to feel movement with your first I was about 20 weeks with my DD? Xx

babymama09 · 03/05/2020 17:38

@Buzz22 and @Treaclepie19 I felt so annoyed after reading your posts about how you were treated. They have acted extremely unprofessional, heartless and extremely insensitive. I cannot believe some people who call them selves professionals. Congrats to you all who have found out the sex of your babies, and the blanket is lovely.

I have my scan in 9 days...
Suffering today with sciatica and sickness, my back is in agony and even a bath hasn't really helped. I felt more movements a week ago but nothing much recently and this is setting off my anxiety.

How is everyone else feeling today?

Treacle81 · 03/05/2020 18:47

My nausea is back 😩😩😩 that’s all day yesterday and today!! Just when I thought it was fading. God this is so tough dealing with 18 weeks in! (Well tomorrow) xx

roarfeckingroar · 03/05/2020 19:27

Hi @Quiffy he hasn't changed his mind but I'm fine with that today. It's tricky trying not to let slip, but we spoke yesterday and said he is happy to know if it means a lot to me... so obviously I said no it's fine I'm not telling you...

DP has spent about five hours today researching the best travel system. His background is engineering and dear lord he wants to make sure it's the safest, best for me to get out and about with etc. It's lovely to watch.

roarfeckingroar · 03/05/2020 19:28

@Buzz22 I had to jump up and shake around too! Baby was having none of it. He loves a snooze, just like both his parents. Praying this continues after the birth Grin

roarfeckingroar · 03/05/2020 19:30

Lots of people have scans coming up. Any this week? It's so exciting !!!
