Wahoo @Glitterbug86 ! Eek roll on 22.

@Couscousevaporator no way! Ahhh that’s amazing. I am worried as not sure I can feel anything in particular. Sorry remind me is this your first? I definitely don’t think I have anything moving that someone could feel from the outside yet. I think maybe I have too much blubber in the way.

CouscousEvaporator · 04/05/2020 11:12

@NWnature this is my first yes but I first felt movements at 15 weeks which I know is quite early. Please don’t worry, I’ve read some people don’t feel until 20+ weeks. It might be your placenta or a whole host of things! I also have to press through the blubber 🤣

Also my DH has recovered from Covid 🥳 so relieved!

MrsD1990 · 04/05/2020 11:14

@nwnature so glad you asked about prams! We live in London too and I'm hoping to use a sling mostly but still want a good pram for when we need it. From my research, the Maxi-Cosi Zelia Pushchair seems like a really good option because you can buy it new for £300 (and I'm a bit scared to buy a pram second hand during the pandemic because I'd want to check it properly etc before I bought it) that said, the bugaboo is apparently the best one so if money wasn't an issue I'd definitely get that but it's too pricey brand new.

Had anyone else bought/researched prams? Would be keen to get people's thoughts!

CouscousEvaporator · 04/05/2020 11:18

@mrsd1990 I know which one I want. It’s from Infababy. I live very rurally so need one with massive tyres! I also got a three wheeler so I can run with it (although I may be being optimistic with my post baby fitness routine there)

MrsD1990 · 04/05/2020 11:23

@couscousevaporator wow I really like the look of that one!! Looks very pretty. Good point on the three wheeler, we get loads of people running with those near me and I hadn't thought of that (I've been looking into gyms with creches for when I'm on mat leave - I'm also feeling a bit optimistic about my post-baby work out routine!!)

Treaclepie19 · 04/05/2020 11:34

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.
Scan went well, so far. They couldn't see everything so I'm back in 4 weeks. Also couldn't tell the sex. Had whooping cough jab, MRSA screning, urine and blood pressure checked.

I'm quite upset for a lot of different reasons but that's the long and short of it ❤
Hope you're all okay.

CouscousEvaporator · 04/05/2020 11:36

It’s good because it’s cheap too! And I’ve looked everywhere for reviews but they only seem to be positive... 🤞🏻 Three wheelers seem to be much easier to steer. I just know I wouldn’t join a gym 😂 I’m aiming for swimming and running and kettlebells.

So excited for all the scan news. I’m going to be busting at the seams by the end of May 😆

NWnature · 04/05/2020 11:36

@treaclepie19 glad it went well! Sorry to hear you are upset, it’s understandably probably mega emotional so take it easy today. Sending so many good vibes! Silver lining is only 4 weeks til you see little one again x

CouscousEvaporator · 04/05/2020 11:38

@Treaclepie19 aw no ☹️ What do you mean they couldn’t see anything?

We are all hear for a chat if you feel like it xx

CouscousEvaporator · 04/05/2020 11:41

I misread, everything not anything. Big hugs x

Treaclepie19 · 04/05/2020 11:42

Thank you both ❤
Baby was upside down and then curled up like a frog so it was hard to see eveything they needed to. With our history of chromosomal issues they really need a good detailed look.
Im just upset because the consultant was very abrupt and didn't give me much chance to talk. I'd also got it in my head that we were doing the right thing not having an amnio because the scans were looking OK but now I'm not so sure.
Was hoping to tell our 4yo about baby and decide on a name but now we can't do either.
I'm just really worn out. This pregnancy and the worry is taking a toll on me and then the hospital being the way it is with coronavirus is even harder.
So sorry for moaning 😔 I don't even like telling people about the scan because they just say what good news it is and I'm not reassured. With our poorly little boy a lot of his scans looked fine.
It's really tough.

Thanlyou for you advice @Treacle81, @BntTowers and @HerondaleDucks. I have tried paracetamol but it doesn't help, the docs percribed me a stronger tablet but that was prior to pregnancy and it came with an anti sickness tablet. @Treacle81, I have had four epidurals 3 for my c sections one when my placenta had to be manually removed. I am due to have my fourth c section end of Sept v early October.

So jelous of those going to their scans this week, I am feeling so impatient about everything. My dh wants to choose a pram with me so it's pointless me looking I have done so much research on different prams and nothing is really catching my eye enough. I want to be able to get out there an look if you get me.

Feels stupid even saying that if I am honest Cos without my dh I wouldn't go out anyway I suffer with anxiety which whilst we are in is contained but the anxiety of the baby is far from it.

How is everyone today xx

Spark27 · 04/05/2020 11:44

Sorry they couldn't see everything and you couldn't see the gender. But on the plus side you got to see baby and you get to see it in another 4 weeks. Hopefully by then you might be allowed someone to go with you (fingers crossed). Must be disappointing though, and I'll be exactly the same if it happens to me. Xx

Spark27 · 04/05/2020 11:48

Sorry, just seen your last. Is there a reason they are waiting 4 weeks? Is it because your scan was a bit earlier or because they are so busy?
Totally understandable that you're finding it difficult. It's good they want to see and check everything, but difficult to wait 4 weeks

HerondaleDucks · 04/05/2020 11:55

@Treaclepie19 sorry you didn't have a good experience today and about your worries. I hope your next scan you see everything you need to and that it helps alleviate some of your anxieties.

Treaclepie19 · 04/05/2020 12:00

I think they just want to make sure baby is big enough. They said baby was a bit sml to see but mainly the problem was they're so curled up in there.

Thank you, I really appreciate the support. We're going to talk later about whether we need to just have the amnio because I don't think we will get a reassuring answer from the hospital.

@Treaclepie19 we are here to listen to you I can't understand why those who deem themselves as professional are acting completely unprofessional. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
@MrsD1990 I have researched so many prams on YouTube I have drive myself mad!
Likdd the look of a few but I was one of them who broke more prams when my older kids were younger I managed to break the majority of them and said I should have been a pram tester because they stated they were great but even the replacement I received on one broke! My second hand ones didn't last so that wouldn't be an option to me this time round I don't think i only got about 6 months out of it before it fell apart. And that was a silvercross.
It's weird for me to say as I don't know any of you personally but on here it feels like a group of friends who understand how I feel.
I know I know we are all strangers to each other in reality but there is so much empathy on here and understanding I do feel I can open up more. How do you all feel about this? Xx

Treacle81 · 04/05/2020 12:23

@CouscousEvaporator aww, v special moment you got to share with your mother, amazing ❤️
@Treaclepie19 so sorry to hear things never went as planned for you, hopefully these 4 wks will go in fast, virtual hug 🤗
@babymama09 I feel very fortunate to have you girls, been a godsend at times! We all are here for each other and it’s a great feeling! xx

Indigogirl88 · 04/05/2020 12:28

@Treaclepie19 thank you for creating the new post and I hope you're ok and the next scan checks everything Flowers

I'm getting impatient as well but mines not till 21st. Not felt much movement wise either and I over did it at the weekend hence being so quiet on here which meant I slept most of yesterday. Just hoping everything is ok

NWnature · 04/05/2020 12:32

Totally agree it’s a lifeline having the group here especially in these weird times.

I get so overwhelmed with all the pram stuff seems like a total minefield! I don’t mind spending some dosh if it will last well and do the job but feels like a lot of pressure if I get it wrong. I want one that comes with a set of everything you need I think as that seems simpler so car seat newborn onwards. Another YouTuber (I know I know!) recommends BabyZen YOYO for London so might look at that one. I think you need to buy a new born pack separately and then would I need a car seat as well? I think the idea of a car seat that clicks straight into pram seems ideal to avoid having to extricate them!

babymama09 · 04/05/2020 12:36

@Treacle81 so do I, I'd like to thank all of you on here for being so supportive and for giving me something to look forward to and I mena that, I live seeing how everyone is and how they are all feeling it feels like an online mummy family 😊.

Hopefully @Treaclepie19 your next scan will be a better experience and if you feel anxious between now and then contact your midwife. She should want to reassure you.

Mine still hasn't contacted me. 🤔🤔🤔
@indigogirl88 hopefully the weeks will fly by for your next scan.

I felt baby move more yesterday lying on my left than I had in a few weeks. I noted to self that Down loading the baby heart beat app was a stupid idea as I didn't really hear much and it sets me off panicking then.

Glitterbug86 · 04/05/2020 12:45

@Treaclepie19 aw sorry your scan did not go as hoped, I can imagine how disappointed and deflated you must feel after the build up to today.

FWIW I think you did the best and most selfless thing for baby by not having the amnio at the time, but of course if you feel you should have one now, you need to do whatever's you feel is best ❤️ I know you mentioned Jesses scans also looked ok, but hopefully you can take some comfort in this babies nuchal measurement being much better. There's nothing to suggest this baby is anything other than perfectly healthy, but I can completely understand the worry you must have.

How far along are you and how far along will you be by the new scan?

Treaclepie19 · 04/05/2020 12:51

Thanks everyone for the support ❤
@Glitterbug86 I'm 17+5 today and will 21+5 by then so should be a good difference in size. I told them originally it was too early but I think they wanted to get a couple of chances to have a look.

OP posts:
BntTowers · 04/05/2020 13:03

@CouscousEvaporator I'm looking at the infababy one too. It looks good, but we've decided not to order anything until August...

@Treaclepie19 I hope you feel better about it soon. You will have another scan soon and you should be able to see some difference and hopefully baby will behave next time!

Glitterbug86 · 04/05/2020 13:04

@Treaclepie19 ah yes, that does seem quite early. I think normally the anomaly scan is meant to be done between 20-23 weeks (at least it is in my hospital).

I guess just try to take it easy today or do something nice for yourself if you're up to it. And maybe try to view it as today just being an extra sneak peak. Once the disappointment lifts from today, I'm sure you'll be able to look forward and hopefully get excited about the next one ❤️ Hopefully the next couple of weeks go by fast
