@Tbug it is a proper little baby shape already! Our early scan is next Saturday and really hoping we get a good picture!

Today I’m feeling crap again, yesterday wasn’t too bad, came in waves. Today I feel awful again, sick, hot flushes and completely drained. Was explaining to oh how it seems to be every other day and his exact words were: ‘Do you think it’s cognitive?’ - did he seriously just ask me if it’s all in my head?! 🤬 don’t get me wrong he has been brilliant but now I feel like he thinks I’m faking feeling this shit! So annoyed right now!

@Tink679 my FIL just said to me that my nausea and issues with eating is all in my head... I honestly don't think men get it!! I understand it's an adjustment for them suddenly having their normal partner taken over night by a sea of hormones but come on.. we are growing a bloody human in OUR TUMMY!!!! They are stupid. My partner rings me every day and says "what have you been doing" and then looks annoyed when he comes home and I've managed the bare minimum.. I think they just forget sometimes to be sensitive. I wouldn't worry.
I do agree with you though that it's every other day, I have days where my sickness is horrendous then days where it's manageable. Don't worry 🤍

Men! They just don’t get it! I have been the same, struggling to function and not doing a great deal around the house, I’ve been off work too so he’s annoyed about that but I genuinely feel rotten. Thanks for the support, I know he didn’t mean anything by it and he has been super sweet since he said it (creeping) just really got under my skin!

I just phoned my lovely boss to tell her I'm pregnant and she's pregnant too! 2 weeks ahead of me. Will be comical when we both walk into the office in a few months with bumps!

My OH is usually the type to one-up me with (insert whatever imaginary illness he has) whenever I'm ill, so wasn't expecting special treatment. But he's been completely the opposite and I have to keep telling him I'm not an invalid! Especially now the nausea and cramps have subsided a bit.

I cannot stop burping though! Really loud ones that I don't even feel coming - DH says he's impressed by them

I hope you don’t mind me joining, I’ve been reading for a couple of weeks!
I’m now 10+3 with my second baby & it’s so nice that I’m not alone in feeling awful!
My first pregnancy was a dream, I literally breezed through, but this one is so different, 2 days after finding out the nausea started, and still hasn’t left, for about 2 days a week I get the worst headaches, awful acid, it’s been rough... and to top it off as my other half also asked me earlier if it could be in my head, so you ladies are not alone with that either (great aren’t they!?) haha
I have my 12 weeks scan on the 27th and I’m so excited now, I haven’t had an early scan or anything so I’m really eager just to find out if everything is okay!
Sorry that was so long, was so ready to offload! Haha xxx

Welcome and congratulations @Kirsty9130, I had the worse sickness with my daughter , I've got two boys aswell and I'm sure this one I'm carrying is a boy too although this nausea is the worse I've had just not physically being sick (yet) !

Evening girls, so after I had my chicken subway salad for lunch yesterday couldn't think what I wanted for tea tonight.. Is anyone finding it so hard to think what to have for an evening meal?! So hubby went and got me another subway salad for my tea 😂😂 I'm gonna look like subway salad. Can't bear the smell of cooking so I guess I'm gonna be living on cold food for a while!

@ElectricTonight I loveeee bedtime! But its bittersweet because my sickness is worst in the morning when my stomach is empty 😞

@Katbaby I find meal times make me really sad, I hate the thought of food and I never know what to eat because I'm just feeling so sick and with me being the only chef in the house .. it's safe to say 3 meals a day, 7 days are week is really taking its toll!!
So today I went to M&S and I bought a load of yummy food that caught my eye and I've filled my fridge and freezer so I am hoping that will do and a lot of it Jordan can put in the oven himself so fingers crossed.

I've felt a bit better this afternoon, the nausea has calmed down a touch so I've managed to get some jobs done and wash my hair. Jordan just got home from work and said "you seem happier" Hope this lasts 🙏🏻😩

Omg all this talk of subway has made me find the only one in my city that’s delivering - subway ordered! 😂

Oh I’d love a subway too but ours hasn’t reopened yet!

Has anyone had or is anyone thinking of having the NIPT screening? Our midwife asked and it is something we’d consider. It’s a lot of money but we’d also have to pay for the scan if we do it in the next week or so, as we’ve not had a dating scan yet.

My subway order was accepted to only get a cancellation text 5 min later - no explanation

@yahbasic would do nipt if 12 week scan shows any cause for concern

@makingababy I'd have cried that's just rude!

@djmbaker I'm normally the one who cooks but hubby is also an excellent cook and he used to do all the cooking when we were first together so he's just took to it again thank god. I'm living off ham and cheese sandwiches or salads or cereal. That's all I can deal with.

@makingababy oh I'm so sad for you! I'd be straight down there in the car demanding my salad 😂!

So hard being so food averse and not being able to nip to shops whenever I fancy to pick up something I decide I'm happy to eat!

@YahBasic we have decided to do the harmony test no matter what, to me its worth the money. I am a paediatric nurse and so I have this need to know i think.

Sickness has been real last few days, but I'm on nights so im not sure that is helping really. You are all making me want a subway I know that but my local one is not open. I'm dying for our chippy to open too, was my little post night ritual to have a chippy tea.

I really do love pooping on and catching up on how you are feeling. I'm sorry I'm crap that I never message individually.

Worried sick to be honest. They found a strong heartbeat but measured 2 weeks smaller than I thought. I don't think it's possible at all I've got the dates wrong so feel beside myself. Don't know what to do.

@showmethegin I can understand your worries and concerns 😔, did the sonographer give any reasons as to why dates aren't adding up? Hopefully things progress well in the next few weeks x

@showmethegin they say that early scans can be difficult to measure accurately and actually by the time you have your 12 week you could be back to what you thought you were to begin with if that makes sense?

@showmethegin I had my booking in appointment with the midwife yesterday and she mentioned that early on measurements can be unreliable and difficult to take, that it's only at the 12 week scan that they would change an estimated due date and get a more accurate reading on weeks. And you had strong heartbeat so that's a massive plus! I know it's not much solace until you're at the 12 week scan but hopefully you're feeling a little better x

Morning ladies
I had my booking in appointment with the community midwives. Turns out my allocate midwife is on maternity leave 😂 so they're finding me a new one now. But she was lovely.
I have 2.5 weeks till my 12 week scan. It feels forever away, especially as my husband doesn't want to tell his parents till after that (doesn't trust they'll keep it secret) so it feels so hard not blurting it out.

Thank you all so much for your really reassuring advice. The sonography didn't seem concerned but he was generally quite rushed and brusque.

It's been hard because I just assumed it was definitely really bad news because I've read so much but my DP is really positive because of the heartbeat. Sounds like I should get on his team! I still feel very very pregnant and was up for 3 times in the night for a wee!

@Babylove94x I was exactly the same with my first pregnancy, no symptoms the whole way through, so don’t let it worry you at all, just enjoy it! This one is so much different for me, I have every symptom you can imagine haha x
