Thanks for adding me @Katbaby! Can’t believe we’re on thread 2! Feeling pretty reassured today as I decided to do another test last night (woke up at 5am, what else to do but POAS?!) and it said 3+! I’m 5+4 today so that sounds about right.

@Jasminex1 some people choose not to do the scan because they don’t want to know if something is out of the ordinary as they feel it wouldn’t make a difference to them. I’m having it because it tells me the gender at 10 weeks and I’m a control freak so like to know ASAP!! I’m also a “geriatric mum” (thanks NHS) so there’s a chance there’ll be an abnormality and if that’s the case I also want to know as early as poss.

Katbaby · 29/04/2020 14:12

@curiousfruit haha I was the same. 5.45 I woke up and got my 3+. I'm probably only a day or 2 different to you if not the same. I'm feeling so grotty today like I'm coming down with something.

Marshmallow1102 · 29/04/2020 14:18

Thanks for adding me! I was napping and didn't realise we had gone over! I didn't even know that there was a limit haha!

I'm feeling so awful with nausea, tiredness, aches, etc that I think I'm going to have to talk to my boss about working shorter hours for a little while, I'm so unproductive in the mornings!!

Wearenotyourkind · 29/04/2020 14:26

Thanks for adding me @Katbaby 💗

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 14:27

@Curiousfruit that makes sense, thank you! I didn't know it confirms gender😯 do they tell you or do you have to wait until the gender scan as I know that a lot of people don't find out until then? Yeah I'm thinking that I would like to know early if there is anything, but equally not sure now I've it would make me worry more!

djmbaker · 29/04/2020 14:28

I think new threads is definitely going to be something that happens regularly we are a chatty bunch aren't we 😂

I've just found some no wired bras I bought last year when I was pregnant from sainsburys. Wow the relief it's brought.. they are agony today! Just walking around they hurt. And like I said my boobs are tiny!! This is a weird thing.. but has anyone else's nipples got bigger??? 😂😂 sorry if that's TMI but I just got in the shower and I was shocked!! 😂

Is anyone else categorised as 'high-risk'? I have epilepsy, although it's managed and I haven't had a seizure for 3+ years. But it puts me in the high-risk camp.

I spoke to my consultant the day I got the BFP and received my letter today with the appointment for the clinic.

I'm not too worried atm, but just wondered if anyone else is in a similar situation?

DontStandSoClose · 29/04/2020 14:50

@GeeHO98 I hope you are ok? I’ve never had any issues before either, well I suppose technically I did first time around, but that turned out to be nothing. I’m not 100% sure I’m out but I’m fairly sure now. Just going to wait and see I guess.

Curiousfruit · 29/04/2020 15:21

@Jasminex1 I’m not 100% sure all of them confirm gender - I had a private one called the Harmony Test last time and that checks for Downs, Edwards and Pataus with a super high degree of accuracy. And it gives gender.

Curiousfruit · 29/04/2020 15:24

Ladies, can I ask a potentially stupid question? I didn’t have the easiest start with my DS - horrific PND for his first year - but since I’ve been better we’ve really found our groove and my sun just rises and sets with him. I think he’s so lovely and so perfect and we get on so well. I’m genuinely really scared that a) I won’t be able to love a second one as much and / or b) having a second one will ruin our bond. Please tell me I’m just being hormonal and this doesn’t happen?? x

december2020 · 29/04/2020 15:37

@Katbaby ugh I know. I changed and it was just us with our videos on while they hid with their videos off 😂

@djmbaker omg mine could literally cut ice I think! It was the first thing I noticed - the giant boobs and nipples!!

Omg I got the ultimate preggo tired hit on my long client call (video on)! I had to take a drink of my cup of tea just to try stifle/hide a yawn!

Optimistic66 · 29/04/2020 15:39

Hi all

So today I was doing my self referral to my local hospital - 6w tomorrow

My BMI is over 30 (it's 32.3) - Should I be taking more folic acid? I take 400mg (in my pregnancy vitamins) - Should I just take another tablet?

Wearenotyourkind · 29/04/2020 15:42

Hi @Optimistic66 my BMI is over 30 and the day I got my BFP, I rang GP and now have a prescription for 5mg Folic Acid 💗

Optimistic66 · 29/04/2020 15:47

@Wearenotyourkind thank you - will ring mine tomorrow. Hope I've not left it too late.

Jasminex1 · 29/04/2020 15:51

@Optimistic66 try not to worry, I didn't even start taking folic acid until I realised I was pregnant! I didn't think it would happen so quickly at all so I wasn't prepared!

Rnic1x · 29/04/2020 16:25

Am I the only one who isn't wearing a bra 😂 I've lived in sports bras for over a month now, cba with bras anymore. Although there not small I can get away without a bra too, I think I'll bin all my old ones they don't even half fit now 😂 if I need too I'll buy some more x

Katbaby · 29/04/2020 16:30

@december2020 honestly I've been a wreck all day. Apart from my pilates I did and a shower this morning I've literally laid on my sofa like a slob covered in a blanket and trying not to nod off. Total wreck.

How's everyones days been?

Katbaby · 29/04/2020 16:31

@Rnic1x I haven't worn a bra in nearly 7 years dont plan on starting unless/until my boobs get massive heavy or sore

ew1990 · 29/04/2020 16:32

Can I join? My due date is around the 15th of December upto now if that's classed as a Christmas baby?

Rnic1x · 29/04/2020 16:33

@katbaby omg 7 years I thought I was bad 😂 I hate bras they just annoy me like the wire the straps everything 🙈

Katbaby · 29/04/2020 16:40

Yes welcome @ew1990 congratulations

@Rnic1x I just hate them so much and my boobs are quite small only a B cup and they stand up fully on their own (for now haha) so haven't needed one. I wear like a bralet if I'm wearing a sheer material top but to be honest I don't often

Rnic1x · 29/04/2020 16:41

Congratulations @ew1990, how you feeling?x

ew1990 · 29/04/2020 16:43

Thank you!
Just really tired. A bit of nausea when I'm hungry but other than that I wouldn't know I was pregnant of it weren't for a positive test!

dixiedo · 29/04/2020 16:51

I hate pants. In general.
I was desperate for some stretchy pants so I stuck on my jeans and did my food shop in Asda to get some as no where else sells clothes that are open local.
Went to Asda. Spent a fortune. Forgot about the pants. Now I'm sulking at home. I've put on weight too so my usual gym leggings (not that I have a gym membership) are tight. Defeating the object of stretchy pants.

Sorry to hear upthread about the bleeding and I hope you're not out and it's old. I bled all the way through with my DS2.

The midwife called me I'm having my booking in on the 13th May over the phone then to go to the surgery afterwards for the bits she can't do over the phone. She sounded lovely and I got emotional and cry.

I don't feel as bad today which is a bit of a fright as I haven't got any other symptoms but I am really early so I'm sure they'll kick in

I told my Mum.
On WhatsApp. I was so scared and got emotional and blurted it out. I felt she was going to be cross with me 😂 like I was a naughty child. She was surprisingly happy and supportive.
I've now got to tell my dad. I suppose I'll put my fun reveal efforts into telling DP parents xx

Rnic1x · 29/04/2020 16:54

@dixiedo symptoms will kick in and when they do at full force we'll all be hating them. Aww I'm glad your mam was happy, when are you telling dp parents? Xx
