@Aimz15 yes it's our first too. I'm debating if it's too early to go to sleep for the night 😂 😴 x

Nic2908 · 14/05/2020 09:53

It's very quiet on here! Send me you positive thoughts guys early scan at 13.45 today. Anxious is not even the word. How are you all??

Katbaby · 14/05/2020 09:58

Morning girls

I've been quiet as I've been feeling so grotty being sick multiple times a day 😞 halfway through tea last night it all came back up, I'm now sick if I'm hungry and sick if I eat so can't win 😒😒 please let this get easier soon?!

Good luck for your scan today @Nic2908! I'm sure it will be perfect for you. Is it private can you take dp in?

Wish mine was sooner Tuesday feels forever away!

Nic2908 · 14/05/2020 10:13

@katbaby yeah its private with wtw they said hubby can come in so that's great.

Sou ds like you could have hyperemesis?? Have you contact gp or epu may need some anti sickness??

Rnic1x · 14/05/2020 10:17

@Katbaby aww I'm sorry your still feeling so bad, I was sick for the first time this morning I hope it's a one off 😭 hopefully you feel better soon xx

ChristmasEve2020 · 14/05/2020 10:29

So thankful that all went well this morning and my DP was able to experience this with me. Not sure if it was the nerves but was quite sick before I went - not had morning sickness yet. Is 8w too late to get it?

Hi all! I’ve been lurking here for a while and hope it’s ok to join as other Dec babies threads have gone quiet!

I’m 7+4 and have an early scan today too, but not til 6pm. Feeling very anxious about it but trying to stay positive. My husband can’t come into the scan at this provider (Ultra sound direct) per their website but really wishing he could. I’ll let you know if he is let in.

@Nic2908 sending you lots of positive thoughts!

@ChristmasEve2020 hopefully just nerves but I don’t think it’s too late to start getting sick... lovely scan pic though :)

ChristmasEve2020 · 14/05/2020 10:41

@makingababy Good luck today! Hope your partner is allowed in. Let us know xx

Katbaby · 14/05/2020 10:44

@Nic2908 well it was the worst yesterday but previous to that I'd only been sick once or twice a day so I'm just hoping that it was a one off 🙏 tentatively nibbling a ginger biscuit to see if I can keep it down. If it carries on again then I will contact gp.

Thanks @Rnic1x hope it was a one off for you!

Aww lovely scan @ChristmasEve2020
Lucky you escaping the sickness right now!!

Nic2908 · 14/05/2020 11:02

@ChristmasEve2020 so lovely to see your picture. Congratulations!!!! Must have been a huge relief

notalwaysalondoner · 14/05/2020 11:47

Lovely picture @ChristmasEve2020

I’ve been quiet as not much to report - 7+3 and no nausea, still able to eat loads, go running, hiking etc. Am off work this week as they wouldn’t let us cancel our holidays (was supposed to be in Greece...) so every day doing a workout, going for a long walk with my mum and sister, then chilling out in the afternoon. Quite tired - sleeping at least ten hours a night, and slightly sore boobs. Called the hospital about my booking appointment on 23rd and they said it will be over the phone - unsure when they would have told me as the letter 100% says it is in person (tells you to bring ID etc.)!!

Also am a bit stressed about moving house - we have a small but very nice two bed flat in London and have been debating for about two years whether to leave London for the commuter belt or buy a bigger house in London. Under normal circumstances we would have put our flat on the market as soon as we got pregnant, but with the lockdown and likely recession we’re not sure what to do. Plus we still haven’t resolved the London/not London issue - DH is for London whereas the lockdown has made me more sure I want to be in the countryside. I even had a stress dream last night about house viewings! I guess I just never imagined having a baby in a little London flat where my parents couldn’t stay etc but don’t want to rush into anything with the market so unclear.

calipoppy · 14/05/2020 13:30

Hi everyone, finally emerging from three dark days and hoping now I'm 9+3 maybe this is the beginning of the end of first trimester grossness! 🤞

Booked a private scan for 2 weeks when I'll be 11weeks so DH can be there since he won't be able to come to 12 week scan. It's 25 mins drive away so hoping sickness is going by then as not sure I could manage that right now!

@notalwaysalondoner that sounds so stressful with house move plans! I suppose you could always decide a figure you want, and put the flat on the market to see if anyone goes for it? But in terms of where to move I feel your pain! We moved up to the north east from London 18 months ago and it's the BEST thing we ever did, but the decision was so hard! I think though especially now with everything going on so many companies are moving more and more towards remote that even for career you really don't need to be in London anymore. Hope you manage to convince DH!!

dixiedo · 14/05/2020 13:55

Hi guys. Sorry I've not been on. Been ridiculously ill. Now on my third round of antibiotics and I'm
sure some sick came out of my eye before !!!
I'm so lucky I'm not in work currently I hope this all goes by the time I can go back in. My son is shielding and work haven't been great, if it was me that had a shielding letter I would be on full pay. Because it's a 5 year old I'm on SSP and I'm getting pretty stressed about everything.
DP a has been good sorting out the kids I was up from 3 this morning.

@Elmlee my DD from my LMP is the 1st too. Not sure if that will change at scan xx

Had my booking in yesterday with the midwife she was fabulous. It was over the phone initially then I popped in where she did my height weight, bp and gave me a bounty pack.

I've been lucky with my boys that I never got a stretch mark so I'm starting early with the moisturiser as I feel like I'm Already showing (I'm guessing it's the week long constipation) using bio oil in the morning and palmers tummy butter at night I think unsure if I'll change but fingers crossed xx

Elmlee · 14/05/2020 14:00

Lovely to see everyone's updates.
Hope people don't mind me being still in this group as my EDD is Jan 1st. I'm sort of between here and the January group.

I feel like I've gained an extra week because I wasn't as far as I thought lol!

Feeling like I need a wee a lot more. Feeling tired and having small dizzy spells only if I've had a busy day.

Tried to stop myself puking the last few days. It's gotten so bad. Bins, recycling, fridge, dirty dishes... make me feel awful! Also when I bend down to pick stuff up.

My husband has offered to make tea, I'm so excited lol 😂

PocoyoandEllie · 14/05/2020 14:08

Hi all, I have been feeling ill but today feel a bit better even managed to clean the bathroom! Now I am worried something is wrong! Can’t win!!

notalwaysalondoner · 14/05/2020 14:15

@calipoppy how did you make the decision? Do you have family there? What did you do about jobs? My family is in the cotswolds so I’d love to move there but it’s too far to commute - so we’d have to both get new jobs.

Katbaby · 14/05/2020 14:38

Afternoon ladies, well my local subway has reopened for drive thru so decided that's what I wanted to eat, just had a chicken salad and some nachos and it was AMAZING I feel so good for having it such a relief!

@notalwaysalondoner lovely to hear you are sailing through by the sounds of things, I hope it stays that way for you 🤞🤞

@dixiedo so sorry to hear youre having such a rough time with it I hope you feel better soon! Hopefully this round of antibiotics work for you!

@Elmlee I'm scared i get pushed back a week but I can't see how I could. I'm working my dates out based on the faintness of first test and then when I got my 3+ I assumed I would have to have been at least 5+1

PocoyoandEllie · 14/05/2020 14:45

@katbaby our subway opened aswell which we had for lunch, I actually enjoyed it!

calipoppy · 14/05/2020 15:13

@notalwaysalondoner we basically chose a couple of cities both nearish my parents, then went and did a weekend in both places and looked at a load of areas outside the cities that from research looked like places we might like to be. Ended up about 1 hour 15 from my parents but living in our perfect area and by the sea which we love! As soon as we came here we knew it suited us.
Jobs wise, my job let me go part remote so I made the (very long!) commute to London once a week, then eventually I switched to another role closer by but still happy for me to work from home most of the week. (I work in quite a specialist area so always knew I would be really reducing my options leaving London!)
My husband works in sales so he got a job up here soon after we moved. I think the hardest part has been making friends but we have his colleagues and our street has a few couples our age we sometimes meet up with. Hoping having a baby will also help us meet people!

Sorry that was very long! Hope it was helpful I know it's such a massive decision :) is there a city/town near your parents?

Nic2908 · 14/05/2020 15:53

Well guys, I am home. Little jelly bean is great, had a heartbeat a saw baby have a little bounce around. Measuring further along so 8+5 which means edd of 19th December. I honestly cannot reccomend wttw liverpool enough, we drove an hour to get there and it was totally worth the sickness when I got home!!

SettyBuarez · 14/05/2020 16:14

Hi everyone, the scans are looking great! I've got my 12 week one on the 28th. I've been feeling awful this week, really nauseous. Is anyone else waking in the night and unable to get back to sleep? I'm exhausted and I just can't crack it at the moment. Also got the added stress of maybe going back to school in a few weeks.

@Katbaby hope you're feeling better soon, and enjoy your Subway!

djmbaker · 14/05/2020 16:23

@Nic2908 aww congratulations!!! What a lovely scan photo 😍😍😍

Natt99 · 14/05/2020 16:29

Aww congrats @Nic2908 so pleased for you 🥳
Really wish subway would open around here!
@SettyBuarez yes I've been having the same! Waking up really early like I have jet lag. So odd as I was a good sleeper before. Maybe it's a way of getting used to getting up multiple times in the night 😂

Elmlee · 14/05/2020 19:02

@Nic2908 that's such a lovely scan photo!
How exciting! My next scan now isn't until June 12th xx

makingababy · 14/05/2020 19:21

Everything was ok at my scan too - so relieving to see the heartbeat! Measuring 7+4 so the same as the LMP date.

They didn’t let my husband in but it was ok anyway, just happy everything’s ok :)
