I managed to finally tell my parents today and not bottle it!!! So that's another 2 people who know. They were so happy!

@Rnic1x I heard achy legs was a thing! Glad you're feeling a bit better! I would give anything for a nap right now but we're waiting for some takeout! I'm hungry and tired and it's not a great combo 😅

@djmbaker yes me too! Im the same! Half of me is so happy and a bit like what did I expect, we've been trying for over a year. And now I'm like omg what about travelling and out me time and god knows! But don't take notice of what your client says! It sounds like it's coming from her own personal situation rather than the norm! I think we will just learn to adjust but where we still love the relationship.

@notalwaysalondoner yes me to! I can easily do overtime most days in my industry (advertising and media), then add in 3 hours total for commuting a day and I feel clueless on how to manage the time balance. Me and DH discussed today that maybe we'll need to move closer in a few years just to make things a bit more manageable and II can look at maybe x amounts of days at home (his job isn't flexible like that). At least we have a while to figure it all out.
I feel the same as you! I've been toying with do I move job/industry or is there another solution as I wouldn't want to be a totally absent parent either. It's tricky weighing in options as like you I'm totally thinking of the financial implications as well, especially as I currently earn more than DH.

Such beautiful scan pictures, I have mine on Thursday afternoon I'm so anxious about it. How did you guys feel before going in for yours?

I'm vomiting most nights at bed time but still instantly feel better so that is good I guess.

Nic one I just kind of changed the subject. Said I was bloated. The other I just said yeah. We are quite close at work and I know she won't blab.

Hey @Nic2908 so exciting you've got your scan tomorrow! Hope it goes well for you! It is nerve racking but I found they tell you really quickly that everything's ok.
Sorry you've been sick, that can't be nice especially with your job ☹️
All good here, feel occasionally nauseous but haven't been sick and have to take a few naps in the day. My work said we'll definitely be WFH until the end of August, potentially until next year!!! So seems I may not go back until 2022 which is crazy! Obviously safer but will be so hard keeping the motivation up for so many months.

I’ve just been sent a ‘funny video’ from a friend basically ripping into people who have babies during the pandemic saying they’ll be called karentine etc etc. Suppose we should get used to those kind of ‘jokes’ though. What will be your guys response if people say things to your face? I think I’d make it clear that I was fake laughing but don’t know if I’d actually be able to say anything.

Just had my booking appt on the phone, I'll be under the consultant due to kidney issues. Hopefully my kidney doesn't choose to play up much! Congrats on all the healthy scans! I have mine in the morning, absolutely terrified until I hear all is well! X

Wow! That was one heck of a catch up! Loving the scan pics of your little beans! I have my scan tomorrow afternoon and I’m actually pretty anxious, the silver lining is that OH is now allowed to attend!

This ‘morning’ sickness has knocked me for 6, it’s literally taking over my days and I’ve had to have a week off work, it’s now safe to say all the senior staff are aware that I’m pregnant but I still don’t want to tell colleagues just yet! My emotions have been on a rollercoaster the past week too, crying at the slightest thing then being in the best mood possible. I really wasn’t like this while carrying the twins!

It’s been so nice catching up with the thread and feeling like a normal human being again! Gassy, nipples, bloating, heavy boobs, looking like the world chewed me up and spat me back out (most days).

Anyone else’s OH built a bar in their garden during lockdown?

I am just getting through the days, still working from home, trying to do DS5 schoolwork with him and DH is at work. Still in pyjamas from last night but I am just about to get a bath! Really need to clean my house but I have 0 energy! I was such a clean freak up until 3 weeks ago 😰

How is everyone today? I keep getting hot flushes I'm normally a heating on 24/7 freezing all the time girl, I'm sat in a t shirt wondering if it's acceptable to take it off 😂

@Rnic1x thanks, that must make yours a proper Christmas baby too then! Have been suffering with terrible sickness the last 2 weeks, but not been sick today! Which is a bonus but then I start stressing that something might be wrong...can't win! Ha. How are you?

I'm the opposite to hot flushes at the moment, I can't get warm! But think that's due to my thyroid! X

@Rnic1x I'm definitely always cold, I think it's due to my low blood pressure!! This baby is stealing all my heat!! Hence running a warm bath now (and currently wearing thermal long johns with no real trousers over them - welcome to lockdown - I don't think my husband has noticed yet).

@Tink679 good luck tomorrow (and it will be fine)! So lovely you can have him along! Also no!!! My husband hasn't built one!! I need to get this memo to him for next summer when I can selfishly drink again.

@Nic2908 they retired a few years ago so live between spain and Scandinavia. Currently in spain for the lockdown (which my dad is happy about as it recently snowed in Finland a couple of days ago)! I hope you're feeling better with the nausea!!

How were the booking in appointments? Mine is on Friday! Help! Phone call and then all tests done at dating scan.

I've been ok! My work productivity is a bit crap at the moment (tired, nausea waves and a little in my own thoughts with the first trimester) so need to shape up a bit tomorrow and get things done.
I hate wishing time away but I'd like this first trimester to be over and done with so I can be a little more open with everything to friends and family.

@Aimz15 yes a little Christmas day baby 😂 I've felt sick for about 3 weeks but sickness bands work a treat. I'm just shattered all the time working 10 hour days atm from home but it's still draining!

@december2020 I'm wishing the weeks away too, I'm just so excited to tell my family we haven't told anybody yet so it's dragging until we can xx

@Rnic1x I'm just hoping to getmy Christmas dinner still 😂. I've tried them they seemed to work the first day and then not since...spoke to soon just had to dash to be sick! I'm working from home too and taking a few hours leave as and when I can just to shorten the days!

@december2020 I had my booking appointment in person today, was meant to have it over the phone then they rang me and asked if I could get to the appointment since I would have to go for bloods at some point anyway. Certainly made it feel more real to me (as daft as that sounds). I'm the same, just wanting to get to the scan now, then I feel bad for wishing the time away.

@Aimz15 that's exactly what I said as long as I get my dinner baby can come whenever. Is this your first? Aww bless you I haven't actually been sick yet but I've felt rotten, it's 7pm and I fell asleep on sofa so come up to bed and put a film on 😂 x

@Rnic1x haha Christmas dinner is important!! Yes my first, what about you? Sometimes I think the feeling sick is worse than being sick, I sometimes get a bit of relief afterwards where I can eat something. Haha I keep falling asleep on the sofa when TVs on! X
