Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@Katbaby baby number 2 for us, and the last one! I'm getting too old for this hahaha my bones are feeling it. We already have a 2 year old boy. I remember from the first time, i was the same. Every little thing worries you, and even now I'm still a bit tense, though less so than before. I hope I can get through to the docs tomorrow, I would like to known what their procedures are just now. I like to be prepared.

Hi guys, tentatively joining if that's ok!
Got my BFP a few days ago, EDD of 27th dec!
Lost a previous little raspberry at only 7 weeks in jan this year....so got my fingers tightly crossed at the moment this time is the one 🤞🏻
I'm already feeling more positive as the tests are much stronger lines, so taking that as a good sign!
So I'm only just 4 weeks today...anyone else this early?

Katbaby · 19/04/2020 21:26

@ArjaD I'm glad I'm not being neurotic then 🤣 just really want to be a mama so really want this little bean to stick. Can't wait til the morning to test again haha.

Welcome @River5675 I imagine I'll be at a similar stage to you but just guessing 🤣

Always said I would want a baby any month other than December, but I just don't care ill be over the moon to have a healthy Christmas baby!!

Katbaby · 19/04/2020 21:27

Also sorry to hear of your loss in January. Fingers crossed you have a sticky bean this time

Nosheennaveed · 19/04/2020 22:14

Aww so sorry to hear about your loss @River5675 hope this time it works out for you all the best hunnie xx

Nic2908 · 19/04/2020 22:37

@River5675 I'm 4 weeks today today aswell I think. So super early. Very anxious. Defo going to have a private early scan for piece of mind I think, make sure it's in the right place. Sory for the loss of your little raspberry.

dippyeggsandsoldiers · 20/04/2020 02:56

Hello please can I join?

I'm 5+3, due 18/12. I had an ectopic at Christmas and a chemical last month so I'm praying this little one sticks.

Hope everyone is ok :)

ArjaD · 20/04/2020 06:08

Welcome all, @River5675, think I'm due 27th Dec as well 😊 hoping this is a sticky bean for you, how are you feeling?
@dippyeggsandsoldiers sorry to hear about the struggles, despite all that's happening in the world though I think 2020 will be a good year for babies ☺️

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 07:11

How is everyone else feeling?

Diorissimo1985 · 20/04/2020 07:22

Hi everyone, please can I join (tentatively)?
My EDD according to online calculator is Christmas Day! We have dd age 2 too (also Dec birthday Grin)

How is everyone doing? I have no symptoms at all which is making me very worried and pregnancy tests show really faint lines so I’m feeling quite nervous it’s not going to work out

Jadey31 · 20/04/2020 07:35

Morning @ArjaD yes it's a beautiful day! Shame I'm inside and working from home but I can't complain as I know others are having it way worse at the moment! @Katbaby exciting times! Keep us updated 😍 @Diorissimo1985 welcome! It's so exciting for us all isn't it 😍 I've not been having sickness at all so does that make me lucky? I've been feeling sick but not sure if that's a physiological thing 🙈 I've done another pregnancy test this morning before I ring the midwife .. BFP. This is really happened isn't it?! 😇😇

Victoria2220 · 20/04/2020 07:47

Morning everyone. New here. According to the NHS's due date calendar I am due on Christmas Day. My first pregnancy. Beside myself with fear and anxiety. Don't feel excited at all. Worrying my marriage won't survive the horrendous stress of a baby, even though we are very happily married. I have no symptoms at all so far. Missed period was the only sign. Took me 4 days to find the strength to take a test.

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 07:51

Thank you @Jadey31! I will 😊😊 I'll be ringing the doctors today or tomorrow I think, might do a digital tonight or tomorrow to be 100% haha.

Morning and welcome @Victoria2220 I think fear and anxiety come part and parcel your not alone. I thought I'd be jumping up and down with excitement and obviously while I am excited I know how much could go wrong in the first 12 weeks so I think worry is a more prevalent emotion. Hopefully in time you will start to feel better 🤞 hugs to you xxx

Tink679 · 20/04/2020 08:08

Morning everyone, beautiful morning! Hi and congrats to all the newbies (she’s says as she only joined herself a day or so ago🤣) feels like this group is growing by the day! (Sorry must worm you I’m slightly delirious!)

So I survived my first night shift since finding out I was pregnant, I cried for an hour straight before leaving the house. I don’t usually eat much overnight either as I like to keep a day routine going, yea that was a big mistake! I’m so hungry I could chew my own arm off, which isn’t helping with the nausea! Anyway better get out of my car, shower and get some sleep as I’ve been awake for almost 24 hours!

Have a great day in the sunshine and keep spreading those positive vibes!

Tink679 · 20/04/2020 08:10

Just for the record I’m not worming anybody! I was trying to warn you of my delirious state but that backfired! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

River5675 · 20/04/2020 08:15

@Nic2908 me too, I've booked it in for 7 weeks which is 3 weeks away.....Going to be a long 3 weeks 🙈
How are you feeling?

december2020 · 20/04/2020 08:15

Hi everyone!

Who have you told yet? When are you thinking of telling?
Just me and my DH know, and then I caved yesterday and told one close friend who told me she's also pregnant with her second, one day behind me! So exciting and happy to go through this with her.

We're tempted to get an early scan and if everything is ok, tell both sets of parents around 8weeks (and then maybe other close friends and family a couple of weeks later).

Due 21 Dec based on the online calculators eek!

DontStandSoClose · 20/04/2020 08:48

Other than my husband just 2 close friends know. With my last 2 pregnancies I told my old uni friends who are my closest friends as I was doing the tests, we told our parents at about 8 weeks or so. This time I think it's a bit different with everything going on and with it being our 3rd I don't think my husband's family will be happy. They weren't with our first child and we'd been together for 11 years and were getting married the following year (it was planned!).

I haven't told my uni friends this time either as one of my friends is waiting to have ivf, she hasn't been struggling to get pregnant she never tried, she left her husband for a woman 2 years ago but still really wants a child. I really don't think my news of a 3rd will be welcome as ivf clinics won't be up and running for a while.

My brother and sister in law will probably stop talking to us too, they refused to see us for over a year after our first child and about 9 months the second. They tried for a baby as I had my first but lost it very early the same week I gave birth. I'm not sure what happened after but they decided not to try again and he had the snip just as I announced I was having our second. So I'm not really expecting a nice reaction from that many people we are close to which is a shame. I think we will hold off telling parents until 20 weeks, I can't be doing with the judgemental comments from my mil. Her reaction to our first was I quote "was it planned, it won't have a very good start in life" (I assume she meant as were weren't married, but I'm still stumped as to why that was her reaction 4 years on!). I could write a book about that woman but yes I won't be telling her until you can visibly see I'm pregnant!

Tbug · 20/04/2020 09:11

I've told my mum and her partner and I'm going to tell my dad and brother today but my partner doesn't want to tell his family until we have 8 week scan in 3 weeks 🥰 I'm so excited just wanna tell everyone ,🙈😂

Bumble84 · 20/04/2020 09:38

Hi, I am due on Christmas Day! Ttc for about 2 years so I couldn’t give a toss that I’ll possibly miss Christmas dinner. I was actually really surprised to read on here that people actively stop ttc this month to avoid a Christmas baby, I think it’ll be the best Christmas present ever!!

Is anyone one else anxious about getting scans during lockdown? I’ve heard partners aren’t allowed in?

Jessica294 · 20/04/2020 09:43

Morning all!

First time posting on one of these groups!
Had a positive test yesterday and one again this morning (up since 4am not able to sleep) 😳 excited and nervous for baby no2...online calculator predicting Xmas day 🙈

Katbaby · 20/04/2020 10:12

Just booked my midwife booking appointment, not until 11th June that feels so far away! Dunno how I'm gonna keep myself sane til then. Might have to follow suit and book an early scan. Ive deffo spent more than 70/80 on tests I bet so why not spend more ahha

Nic2908 · 20/04/2020 10:14

@Katbaby what lovely line progression.... think it's safe to be excited now Haha.

@River5675 I'm feeling good thank you, I had got into a habit of scrolling mums net and reading threads that I knew were going to make me super super anxious, so I have stopped doing that and I already feel slightly calmer and in a better head space.

Christmas babies... I cant believe how much this group has grown @ArjaD it's so lovely and I cant wait to go through the next 8 months with you all.
