Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

It's such a scary time but so exciting too, a real mix of emotions isn't it.
I'm so confused by my dates... my midwife said I'm nearly 6 weeks but the nhs says I'm almost 5.. so I don't know. I'll just wait it out 🤷🏻‍♀️
I've got an early scan booked in two weeks so hopefully they can give me more of an idea!!

Hello! I found out I was pregnant 16/04/20. Going by my last period date I’m due 20/12/20. I’m so so happy and excited but feeling so cautious and nervous. Every pain is sending my brain in to overdrive!

Hi @Wearenotyourkind I'll prob be in the same boat, I am overweight too. I think last time they gave me more folic acid too. Oh well as long as baby is healthy. I'm also due on the 27th if my app is right. And I was also 34 when I had my first 😊

@arjad aww thank you! I am overweight too.. I picked up my folic acid prescription today. I've been cramping a lot.. is this normal? Sometimes I have to go and lie down.

Sorry for the bad news but I think things aren’t going to work out for me - 3 bfps at home last week and then had bright red spotting and back ache today. Just back from GP who did a pregnancy test which came back negative. Booked in for a blood test tomorrow but GP thinks it’s an early miscarriage. Am so sad... I wish all of you the very best

Meant to add, I’m 4+3 today.

I’m expecting DC3, but just wanted to say my eldest was born Xmas Eve 2016!

Christmas babies are amazing, the build up is so much more magical! It’s an amazing feeling each year!

I had a scan this morning, baby is measuring just under 6 weeks and everything looks great. I'm so relieved that everything is in the right place this time and it's not an ectopic! ❤️

Wow going for 3 under 4, thought I was keen 3 under 5. My eldest managed to hang on Christmas 2015 and arrived Jan 2016. I felt like I was in labour for about 4 hours a night from about the 23rd December! Not quite so magical in my case haha

@Tinad91 well I never had cramping with my first but I do this time. And I have heard of a lot of people who had it throughout their first trimester. I think it must just be the womb expanding to make room for peanut.

Hello everyone :) i tested postive on 18th... Alittle confused since this is my first and not aware of what to do after finding out
Any help would be loved

@LAiB congratulations! Call your doctors/GP to tell them your pregnant, they'll ask for the first day of your last period to estimate how far along you are & arrange for you to see midwife. They'll tell you what you need to know and if you have any questions you can ask them then

Hey, I'll be due 1/1/21 so not exactly a Xmas baby but will prob have a c section before then. I've not told a soul and I'm nervous because my BFP line was faint. But I'm here for now. This baby is due on the one year anniversary of my twin stillbirth that I had this Jan.

I'm hoping it's meant to be

@Victoria2220 right now I'm feeling pretty excited and just blessed that it happened so quickly for me. It still feels a bit unreal though and I feel a bit scared everytime I go to the loo in case I see my AF.

I phoned my GP's today as I had no idea of the process and they gave me the direct line for booking in with maternity and I've tried several times and not got hold of anyone. I've left a message on their text line. Anyone else having a similar experience?

@princessgingy yup. Been trying all morning to get hold of the midwives for a first appointment. Can't manage. So frustrating.

Hi all, hoping I can join? Due date Boxing Day! It's been a long road so far, 18 months of TTC then I had a miscarriage last month, and got pregnant again two weeks later!

Nausea hit me like a truck this afternoon. Hoping it's a good sign!
