Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

I feel like such a test villain 😈😈

Well I'm up at an ungodly hour this morning as wanted to do my digi with fmu 🙃 but I slept like shit anyways, fell asleep at 10 o'clock to wake up busting for a pee at 10.30!! What's that all about.

Anyways got my 3+ so I'm a happy chappy.
I'm done testing (hopefully). 🤪

Thanks @djmbaker I normally have a wee before any bloods just in the unlikely instance I faint. I've often fainted at injections but not at bloods yet but I won't pee before appt if they want a wee sample I will just ask if I can do that first.

@dixiedo I'm feeling picked on🤣🤣🤣
To be honest the countdown to doing another test is just a lot shorter than countdowns to scan etc, so easier to manage haha🤞

How's everyone feeling today. I feel sickly as I wake up today although don't know if that's to do with watching that little digi ticker and waiting and hoping to see 3+

I also got up early to test - but I’d only taken one last Friday so think it’s permissible! I got 2-3 weeks on clearblue which sounds about right as I’m 5 weeks today. To be honest I was a bit worried I’d get the 3+ weeks and then worry about having twins and high hcg as my FRER line last Friday was ridiculously dark even though I was only a couple of days late for AF. Very happy to see if confirmed in front of me though - makes it feel more real especially as all my symptoms have gone!

I’m worried about the nausea that might be coming - I was promoted on Friday (the same day as my BFP - what a great day!) and I work in a pretty intense industry and no idea how I’d cope in my new role if I also felt ill every day.... guess I’ll just have to hope for the best and if I feel really rotten I’ll have to just inform work much sooner than I’d like. They’re normally very supportive and we’re not busy as an overall office right now so they could probably swap someone else into the project if really necessary.

Morning everyone, how you all feeling? Apart from yesterday's backache which has now gone, I'm starting to feel more human again 🙌
Actually had a night off my phone last night which was nice.
Weather is grim here today, I don't mind being locked up when it's this bad.

Oh god don't tell me about needles! I hate them! I let them take blood and do injections but I need to lie down when they do it. I have low blood pressure and low blood sugar so if I don't lie down I get all hot and sticky and then I faint. I'll be such a pleasure for my midwife, bet she can't wait 😅😅

Super sore boobs today but seems like less headache and no nausea yet so I'll take it as a win.

Yes @december2020 I'm the same, have to lie down otherwise I hit the deck! I'm usually okay if I lay down and then stay there 5 mins after to be sure. The hot stickiness stays because of nerves haah.

Congrats on your promotion @notalwaysalondoner what is it you will be doing? Love how you say doing another is permissible haha. No comment on how many 🙃

@Rnic1x glad to hear your backache has subsided. I'm feeling sickly today but think it's because my tea was tiny. Backache is back in full force for me 😩

Is anyone feeling a little mixed with symptoms? Where you're glad you don't have all of them in full force but equally because you don't have them you wonder if something is wrong?
It's my first (and first ever BFP) so I have nothing to compare it to either.

@Katbaby hahaha yesss!!! And when I tell them o need to lie down I can feel they think I'm over exaggerating but I'm trying to save them from having to move dead weight from the floor 😅 it's in their best interest!

@december2020 I think we need to get used to sore boobs until December at least 😂 I must have lent on one of mine last night woke up and it felt bruised 🙈 x

@katbaby I keep waking up feeling starving I never normally eat breakfast at least untill 10ish... The past 3 days I've had 2 ginger nuts with my first brew at 6ish and it's seemed to help. Get a hot water bottle on it, that helped me loads yesterday x

I spoke to DH last night about private scans and he said that he thinks they're a great idea, especially because that way he'll get to come along, so we booked one for 8th May! I should be around 9weeks!

I always feel fine the second I wake up, it's the second I try to eat anything that the nausea kicks in, mornings are the worst! 😩

Glad everyone else is feeling good today, and getting the testing results they want!

@Rnic1x probably past December if were breastfeeding as well 😅😅 omg yes I feel like my boobs are bruised as well! Like I've hit them on a door frame walking into a room (probably a new reality soon with the way they're growing)!

We're due our pay reviews soon, work in telecommunications so it's one of the industries that's actually boosted by Coronavirus. Going to hold off telling my boss the news until after I find out about the pay rise, a bit sneaky but it shouldn't affect it 💁🏼‍♀️ too many women suffer maternity discrimination so I read...
Has anyone had heartburn yet? I woke up with it at 3am, thought I was having a heart attack! Never usually get it, even at Christmas when I overindulge. Thought it only happened in later trimesters but google said it is common yay 😏

@pocoyoandEllie I don't seem to want to eat either. The thought doesn't make me feel nauseous as such, just I look at food and think I'm not hungry. Then I have random moments of "I'm starving" only to go to the fridge, look in, and by that time I'm back to "I don't need to eat". If I force myself to eat, I can.

Other than that, cramps are still here but seem to be getting better (exercise helps), I've had a few naps and my nipples, just my nipples, have started to be incredibly sensitive. Honestly didn't think I'd feel this much this early on

@Natt99 oh my god I had such a bad heartburn the other night, made me cough too so I thought I got corona. Was up for an hour with cough and then found some Rennies at home which soothed it. seem to be getting it now after meals but I find that rennies help so maybe get some?

I really hope the midwifes will call today so I can get my appointment booked in, it's been 7 working days since i filled in the form! Anyone else had to wait for a while to hear anything?

@SwedishAnna I referred myself online for the hospital maternal unit (or whatever it's called 😅) on the 12th or 13th of May and got a letter in the post on the 26th conforming my scan date. It could also be of Royal Mail are a little slower with covid. How long did they say you'd have to wait up to?

I've bought 3 maternity/sleep bras from Jojo Mamen Bebe. My boobs are absolute agony! They feel so heavy and it hurts when I'm turning over in bed. It said 5 - 10 working days ... please let them come sooner!

I also bought a tiny wee newborn hat 🤭 My dp doesn't think we should buy anything until the scan but I couldn't help myself

@SwedishAnna I've had to wait a while too! It's nearly been two weeks since I called my gp surgery. They told me they had passed my details to the midwife, but I did chase it up last week and was told I will be getting a call today so 🤞🏼. I know it's varies a lot depending on area, especially with everything going on. It might be worth chasing it up though just to make sure your details have been picked up 😊

Good shout @SwedishAnna I will send husband out to get some. Sorry you experienced it too!
7 days is quite long, is there a number you can call? If so I'd chase it up as you've been very patient. Your info might've been missed if they're under staffed and busy x

@december2020 oh it's lovely and embarrassing isn't it I feel like such a baby asking to lay down especially now being pregnant knowing ill go through a lot more than a little needle I will feel silly but like you say saves them the chew of an unconscious pregnant on the floor 🤣

And to people who are waiting to hear about an appt I would definitely chase up, too easy to drop through the net when places are busier and understaffed when things are going on.

Yay congratulations @Katbaby.. I got my 3+ too this morning!! I am done testing now! I have to stop 😂 I've got my scan in 2 and a half weeks so just need to sit tight until then.

I had rubbish sleep, I woke up at about 2.30 desperate for a wee, then I couldn't get comfy as my bloody boobs are agony! I could have cried last night they were that sore. I'm only a 32a normally so I think this is going to be quite the shock 🤦🏻‍♀️

God my emotions are all over the place, I just cried at good morning Britain .. I'm so emotional.
I've had my first decaf coffee this morning, I've struggled with the taste of coffee but this is quite pleasant. I have missed my hot drink in the morning.

Hope your all ok .. anyone had any weird dreams yet?? I had the weirdest dream last night! Kept waking me up 😩

Can I join? I’m 7 weeks and a few days with first babe. I feel okay, just absolutely tired, but also wake up and can’t sleep at 3-4am. Boobs are so sore and achey! I’ve had a few episodes of nauseas but nothing too bad. We’ve kept the news to ourselves until the 12 week scan which should be sometime in early June, but it’s so hard!

Feeling very nauseous this morning, usually have a cuppa but the past few mornings it's given me the shakes! I've also been having weird dreams for the past week, the type of dreams that play on your mind for a while.
Normally I'm a bit of a night owl but not anymore, I fell asleep five minutes into a film last night.

I don't have sore boobs. I feel jealous of the sore boobs 😂

I woke up about ten minutes ago ! So happy that I slept later but oh my gosh I feel disgusting. I feel so sick. I don't feel like I can move anywhere. I've managed to POAS though 😂 it came up darker so I feel better. I ordered the digi week ones yesterday.

@notalwaysalondoner congratulations on your promotion!! I wouldn't feel rushed to tell work to be honest unless it would require changes to your role due to risk.

Great tip this morning: did some morning yoga as part of trying to be a little healthier during this pregnancy. In turn I've also realised it's a great way to release any trapped wind . Good thing I have the house to myself this morning and the husband is out at work...

@dixiedo I am definitely not jealous of any of the sore boobs (no offence to anyone 😂) but I'm done wishing for more symptoms now! It's bad enough that I have to suffer nausea without my boobs hurting as well!!

I still feel sick as a pig but forced myself to get a shower and wash my hair this morning and just plucked my eyebrows to try and make myself feel better 😂
