Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

@djmbaker Hahaha OK, I was just checking I hadn't missed something! I think if I used tested earlier then I definitely would have wanted stronger confirmation, but I was firm with myself and kept tests out of the house until I needed them, and then had to wait for them to be delivered, so I was already 6 weeks by the time I tested haha!

@Rnic1x I'm too tired and nauseous to even think about it right now! DH is putting me to bed early every night and enjoying having some free time to himself to play video games in peace, so everyone is happy at the moment! 😂

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 10:20

@notalwaysalondoner no it's literally down the road like 5mins away, so I should be fine x

@Bumble84 aww how amazing my dp said that too I said god don't flatter yourself you won't touch the baby 🙈 but I think with cramps I don't want to aggravate them and make them worst if you get me. glad I'm not the only one x

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 10:20

Can't believe I'm the bad influence 🤣🤣 @djmbaker I definitely blame MN and also my lack of symptoms for my continual testing🤣

Just starving today.. Not feeling the sickness today at all but yesterday it was more so in the afternoon.

When I told my mum we were stood at opposite ends of the garden and I said oh me and Jordan have planned something for Christmas for us all.. And she said ooo what and I said check your phone and I'd sent her the photo of my pile of tests haha! And watching her face as she realised what the picture was was lovely!

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 10:21

@Marshmallow1102 so is mine, I'm going up at 9ish he's sat on the X box with all the lads from work (there all off atm) playing until god knows what time haha x

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 10:21

@notalwaysalondoner I just blurted it out on the phone to mine, she said that she had known something was wrong that last time she spoke to me! It took her a full day before she realised that me being pregnant meant that she would be a grandmother 😂 I don't know if she would have preferred me to make a fuss over it and do something special, but at the time I felt like I just needed to tell her!

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 10:22

Also I don't fancy sex either. DH doesn't seem to mind as I was over zealous when trying and I think he was sick of getting out the shower ready for a relax and I'd be laid on the bed like hellloo! Hahaha

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 10:25

@Katbaby "pile of tests" 😂🤣 lovely way of telling her though 😊

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 10:28

@katbaby hahaha omg same I'd text my Dp from upstairs like Hi I'm ready 😂😂😂 mad what we do isn't it!

djmbaker · 28/04/2020 10:30

Ohhh I feel bad for my mum, I just literally said to her "I'm pregnant " and sent her the tests.. she said she knew as I had been feeling shit the whole week and she likes to think of herself as "spiritual" and she said she knew.

Because my partner (who is also called Jordan) didn't want me to tel anyone I didn't have any choice but to text it to her.
Bless her, I'll do something nice with the scan photo I think!

Omg the constipation is unreal! Not a happy camper!!!

@Rnic1x hahaha I love it!! I think the nausea is creeping up. I woke up today a little smug that it hasn't hit me yet, did my first work video call this am and could feel it slowly creeping up in my throat!!! Not cool!! That's it we're doomed to worry for the rest of our lives for these little beans hehe!

Has anyone got a health kick frenzy? It hit me today! Did some yoga this morning and planning to do some weights (light and more reps) this afternoon. And now trying to eat healthy and keep super hydrated (hopefully will help with the constipation)!

I would be well up for a facebook or WhatsApp chat when I've passed the "12 week safety mark" .

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 10:42

I would love to be on a health kick, but it's definitely not happening right now! I was doing pilates and asked DH to buy loads of veggies etc. But as soon as the exhaustion kicked in the pilates stopped, and the nausea means that I'm not even looking at vegetables right now! I'm mostly lying down in front of the TV eating beige food!!

ElectricTonight · 28/04/2020 10:55

I will do I am lo

ElectricTonight · 28/04/2020 10:57

Sorry phone went funny,

I will do I am looking out the window constantly waiting for a delivery and time Is dragging on this morning!

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 11:07

I can’t even look at/smell food. Even gone off my favourite cup of tea, can’t face milk 🤢

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 11:07

I am working upstairs in the spare room and can smell my DH has made eggs, could cry 😥

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 11:18

@PocoyoandEllie Really sorry you're feeling like that, but glad I'm not going through it alone!! How are you finding the strength to work without food though?! I keep going am awful shade of grey and needing to lie down, I can't concentrate on a thing!

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 11:21

@Marshmallow1102 I have just been lay on the bed for an hour long conference call 😂 I had a dry piece of toast this morning and just drinking fizzy water but everything is making me feel sick, not actually been sick yet but had plenty of heaves 😢 also need to go and do some schoolwork with my 5 year old soon 😳

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 11:28

@PocoyoandEllie DH made me scrambled eggs on toast as soon as I got up, hoping that if I ate before the nausea kicked in that I would be OK, safe to say that it didn't work! I only managed two mouthfuls! A piece of dry toast is really good going, that's more than I've managed most mornings! Do you find that fizzy water is better for the nausea or are you just a fizzy water drinker anyway?? I've also not been sick yet, but I'm a massive baby and don't cope well with feeling sick, I have been known to cry because I'm scared of being sick!
Oh goodness, I can't even imagine looking after a child whilst feeling like this, you're a hero! Fingers crossed the schoolwork will distract from the feeling of sickness!

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 11:47

Backache seems to be in full force today, anybody else have this? Right at the bottom. dp has just filled hot water bottle to ease it, think he's fed up on me moaning about it ha x

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 12:15

@Marshmallow1102 I can’t face normal water for some reason but fizzy water (lemon and lime flavour or apple and blackberry) with loads of ice seem ok! Has anyone else lost all motivation to clean up aswell, my house is normally pristine and since Friday I have lost all motivation!

DontStandSoClose · 28/04/2020 12:19

Sipping ginger tea and nibbling on bland food like dry cereal helps with nausea. I stuck to the ginger tea personally (a friend swore by cereal out the box) but I didn’t want to end up 10 tonne tessa eating constantly. Ginger tea does work, but only for the duration that you are actually drinking it, a bit like eating really. I got nausea both times I’ve been pregnant before and then as an added bonus I got it for weeks at a time during breastfeeding (had a flap a few times thinking I must be pregnant) so I’ve tried quite a few different things to help. I hate the taste of ginger tea, ginger and lemon I can just about stand.

GeeHO98 · 28/04/2020 12:23

Hi is anyone else who's booked a private scan allowed to/or bringing someone along?

I've just booked one for earliest available which is next week as I've had a little light bleeding last night it says on the email to come alone but only bring one person if absolutely necessary. Now I'm trying not to overthink but I really want to bring my mum in case something is wrong I'd need her support so I'm hoping I can get away with bringing her.

I'm not really sure what I'm asking as I know everywhere will probably be different but are you who have booked able to take someone with you?

-I've already called Midwife's etc they won't see me unless it gets worse

DontStandSoClose · 28/04/2020 12:26

I have a 4 year old and a 2 year old, my house hasn’t been pristine for about 3 years, well it has maybe the odd day when we have hosted a party or something. I could clean 24/7 and it’d still be a mess! We are also potty training my 2 year old at the moment so we are mopping up wee at least 4 times a day. If it’s your first I’d enjoy that pristine house, take pictures of it, the sofas, carpets and get them framed so you can remember how your house once look 🤣. I spent £250 on a beautiful rug a couple of months before I potty trained my eldest, it had to be binned after 6 months. I still look at the photos and think how lovely it was, pale grey, really thick pile 😆😆.

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 12:33

@PocoyoandEllie I might have to give fancy water a go then! :)
I'm not exaggerating when I say that I'm just lying down in front of the TV, I've felt so awful that I've not been doing anything! The house is a mess right now and I couldn't care less! I'm only managing to shower regularly because I don't want to smell myself with my new super strong sense of smell! Relying on DH to do pretty much everything around the house until I start feeling better!

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 12:46

I remember with DS it was about 14 weeks I started to feel more normal 😶 hoping I learn to live with it quicker this time! I have got another work call 1-2 but then I am going to set myself an hour timer and try and hoover/mop etc to make myself feel better 😂. @GeeHO98 I have booked a private scan for the 20th May but have to go alone, hope everything is ok x
