Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

Congrats! I got my BFP on saturday, Im due around christmas too!

SwedishAnna · 28/04/2020 12:52

@KajalTanna22 congratulations! How exciting! How are you feeling?

SwedishAnna · 28/04/2020 12:54

I had literally not even considered the possibility of having to go to scans on my own. Is this just because of lockdown? If lockdown is lifted do we think partners will be allowed?

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 12:59

@PocoyoandEllie Just drank a glass of lime and soda, it went down so much better than regular water, you're a genius!

KajalTanna22 · 28/04/2020 13:07

Nausea and dizzyness has been quite bad but today im not so bad. I dont "feel" pregnant yet, is that normal? As in my boobs kill, im v. bloated and emotional but thats it. How about you?

penguin423 · 28/04/2020 13:10

@rnic1x - have had a sore lower back sometimes too but not as bad as yours sounds. I hope the hot water bottle helps you.

Where I live it's only the woman getting to go into the scan too.

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 13:19

@Marshmallow1102 yep a whole pile. I'd laid them out nicely in date order🤣🤪

@Rnic1x Hubby didn't know what had hit him as he was usually the instigator before haha always had a higher sex drive when I was on the pill. Yep backache is there!

I am getting secretly (not so secretly) worried as to why I am able to eat my food pretty normally. Haven't been off anything yet! Apart from butter in my sandwich yesterday tasted a little funny.

I'm starting to try working from home but how does anyone concentrate working from home!?! Dog pottering around, husbands like bored what you up to??

Also have no motivation to work just wanna chill out 😩

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 13:19

Also boobs still not sore. Keep giving them a good squeeze to be sure

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 13:24

@katbaby ohh that makes me feel better I'm not on my own with back pain it's not horrendously painful but I can feel it it hasn't gone away today... Haha once Baba is here there won't be anytime for that for a while anyway they might aswell get used to it.
I wfh but I have done for years, I don't have a dog but my mam does a gorgeous cockapoo, when she stays with me she just lies on floor next to me all day, dp is a pain tho he comes up to my office every hour or so asking what time I'm finishing... The same time I told you 6 hours ago now piss off ha!
Your boobs will get there they'll be hurting from the daily squeezes soon ha x

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 13:32

@Rnic1x aww our baby is a cockapoo too, absolutely glued to my side obsessed with me. I love him but he is like my little shadow haha 😂

Yeh my back hasn't been great for about a week now and I'm finding sitting at the dining table staring at this bloody laptop isn't helping.

I just have such a lack of motivation for work it's so bad but after 5 weeks of not working it's hard to kick myself into gear

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 13:32

@Katbaby Be grateful that you're not sick yet, "I wish I had more symptoms" were my famous last words! Not feeling sick doesn't make you any less pregnant! :)

I've worked from home on and off for a few years, it takes a lot of self discipline to actually do work, but for me deadlines and colleagues pestering me tends to be motivation enough! Being in a room without a TV and telling DH that you need to be distraction free might help. But also, give yourself a break, if you were in the office you would be taking breaks to make tea and talk to colleagues, so don't feel like you need to be working every minute of the day! I've been worse than useless this past week, but as long as I don't miss any deadlines it'll be fine!

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 13:44

@Marshmallow1102 I know I really should be grateful but I'm a worrier so it's not helping that Im not feeling very pregnant.

Does anyone know what is the earliest you can get a positive on a hpt in weeks? I'm worried I'm not as far as I think.. I was thinking I'm about 5 and a half weeks but now concerned it's not as far. I got my first BFP on 17th albeit faint

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 13:45

@Katbaby aww really my Coco is a little shadow she even jumps on your knee if your having a wee 🙈 so loving though. we can a puppy but going to wait until baby is older now. What do you do for work? I find if I get bored I just put radio 1 on and it gives me a little boostx

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 14:03

@Rnic1x my little Teddy does follow me everywhere.

Yeah I think a new puppy and a new baby would be far too much work! Teddy will be 2 and a half by the time baby is here and he's nice and chilled out now.

I work in banking but I'm normally customer facing opening accounts etc so they're trying to set me up on a laptop to do like online customer chat help etc but I've never done it before and not been set up remote access before so there's been a LOT of teething problems x

Natt99 · 28/04/2020 14:05

@GeeHO98 sorry to hear about the bleeding how are you doing now? I've got a scan booked for Saturday as had bleeding on the day I found out but none since then (touch wood). The rules said the same for me, only a partner if absolutely necessary but it didn't elaborate what meets that criteria?! Are you going through window to womb too? I'm going to give them a call on Friday to see if that's still rule. If it is it'll be hard without DH but I'll just have to get on with it. With any luck the rules might change in a few weeks when you go x

PocoyoandEllie · 28/04/2020 14:06

Also Mr Freeze ice pops are saving my life!

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 14:08

@Katbaby I'm sure you've got loads of symptoms; stronger sense of smell, needing to wee more often, tired, achy, bloated, hungrier/less hungry than usual... They all add up! Feeling nauseous hasn't even made me feel more pregnant, just more sick and grumpy 😂 think I'll really feel pregnant after a scan, once I've told more people or once I start to show! Until then it's just really hard to comprehend!!

Rnic1x · 28/04/2020 14:18

@Katbaby aww I hope you get sorted soon, nothing worse than things not working when your having to wfh.

@PocoyoandEllieOmg I would die for a Mr freeze right now I'm gunna send dp out for some x

penguin423 · 28/04/2020 14:18

@katbaby I think I am 5 weeks 3 days going by last period. I got positive test on 20th April and it was strong but hadn't tested before that as had been expecting period 2 days previous. I'm having hardly any symptoms other than bouts of overwhelming tiredness, occasional lower back pain and pulling feeling in stomach. Super warm over night and cold during day too but that isn't totally unusual for me.

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 14:28

@Marshmallow1102 youre right - I'm tired definitely achey, more peeing etc so I guess sickness isn't the be all and end all haha just easy to over think things.

Thanks @Rnic1x I know I honestly would be happy enough to get on with it and work from home it's just the not working that's sooooo annoying. Doesn't help that today Im feeling snappy and impatient haha.

Oh @penguin423 well that's comforting as my symptoms seem to be incredibly similar to yours and I was putting myself at roughly that far along too!

I'm freeeeezing today. Putting that down to the drop in temperature and also the fact my hair is damp from the shower🤪

GeeHO98 · 28/04/2020 14:29

@Natt99 it's not heavy, fresh blood or cramping so far so I'm crossing my fingers and trying not to stress over it. Hopefully it's just a random light bleed🤞🏻And yes it's window to the womb too I just received a phone call back and they said it's not a strict rule so if I really want to bring someone I can do that's good news. You'll have to let me know how your scan goes I've never booked with them before x

ElectricTonight · 28/04/2020 14:30

I have taken a test and I am! Isn't it faint for being over a week late though? It is pink irl x

Christmas babies
Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 14:35

@Katbaby Definitely with you on the over thinking, but I think that's another perfectly normal symptom 😂 until I have a successful scan I'm going to be so anxious! I don't know whether having an early private scan would help or not really! Just can't make my mind up at all! Wishing my life away right now so that I can just find out if everything is OK!

Marshmallow1102 · 28/04/2020 14:39

Congratulations @ElectricTonight !!!!

Katbaby · 28/04/2020 14:44

Congratulations @ElectricTonight! The way the pic is it looks like the control line is the one that's weak? Pregnant line looks lovely and strong.

@Marshmallow1102 like I've said earlier in the thread if Im not sent for an early one by the midwife I'll be booking one but I'm tempted to book one anyways so hubby can come I think it's such an important thing to be part of!
