Christmas babies

Hey all, just got my bfp which puts me on course for a Christmas baby! According to my calendar it will be around 27th Dec but we'll get a better idea once we get the 12 week scan. I've already got a handsome 2 year old boy. ♥️Anyone else due à Christmas baby or fancy some pregnancy chat?

And yes @Rnic1x It was a lovely relief to put my phone down and spend some quality time with hub as since I've found out I've been glued to my phone and Google and obviously this lovely chat!

@katbaby yes thank you lovely, I feel much better than yesterday, cramps haven't come so far but yesterday they did come later on, they weren't even bad ones though so I don't even know why I'm worrying.

I love this chat, it would be great if we could all get a whatsapp or Facebook chat going once we've had our little ones or nearer the time and all keep in touch ♥️ x

@Rnic1x I'm so up for that 😊😊 once everyone is past 12 week safe mark and all our families and friends know I'd totally be up for Facebook / WhatsApp connections /group chats with any of you girls who are up for it. It would be so lovely if we could follow each other right through to babies and then see all our lovely babies!

Has anyone in the Nottingham area booked a private early scan? I'm hoping to reschedule my appointment to somewhere that is allowing partners to come in with you. I've got one booked in at Ultrasound Direct however my DH isn't allowed to come in 🙈 and when looking further into it to don't get a picture to take away with you either! They send you the pictures to your mobile but it'd be nice to have something. Hopefully I can buy some.

I'm booked in Friday 8th May. I'll be 8+5 xx

@katbaby @Rnic1x that would be lovely. Although can I request whatsapp as I'm the last person in the world that doesnt have facebook .

@katbaby I'm feeling ok just woke up very nauseous this morning... but I've had a poo and it seems to have subsided a little 🙈🙊.

@Natt99 would love to see your scan pic will be think of you on saturday.

When I had my DS in 2014 we had a facebook group and I am still in the whatsapp group now!

I was so sickly yesterday but not physically.
I've barely ate to be honest. I managed a piece of toast but that is it. I'm gagging on most food and all of a sudden craving a cheeseburger or junk food which I can't get 😕

I've been peeing loads and yesterday I had a horrible taste like I was sucking a coin or had one of those iron water shots I had no idea so I googled it and apparently it's a common symptom !!!
I've never had that before as I didn't have a clue so I'm thinking maybe baby Is a girl as my two are boys 🤷🏻‍♀️ who knows.
I was terribly sick with mine too and this time I just feel like I've got a terrible hangover and nauseous. However I'm so early so maybe it will hit me (hope not)

I feel like I took a test saw positive and then instantly I was knackered and sickly!!

I've lost 3lb this week too. I don't know how and I can't see where 😂 I was dieting anyway as we went on a couple of holidays and a few weekends away just DP and I beginning of the year so I had gained anyway so I'm sure I can afford to lose a couple.

Miserable weather here today.

I want to take some more tests too. I might do some date ones. I'm dying to shop online. Please stop me 😂

Hi girls, so far only my OH knows. I was thinking about telling parents on Father's Day (21 June) I’ll be 13+2 at that point and thought it would be a nice surprise for the Grandpas! What do you think?

I've got to put my phone down.. it's hard though as I'm home alone all day.. then my partner gets home about 7/8 and he's then on his phone doing work.. so trying to get either of us off our phones is a challenge! Plus he doesn't want to talk about babies at the moment, he is avoiding it at all costs 🙈

I felt dreadful yesterday, the nausea is a pain in the ass.. I'm not sure if it would help if I was actually sick?? And my boobs... holy moly they hurt so much!! I feel like I've been punched!!

Sorry I haven't tagged anyone specifically .. I'm useless at this 🙈

The fear hit me yesterday though, that the reality of all this is that we are going to have babies at the end of this haha.. hopefully of course!! Of course I'm excited and can't wait but it's quite scary isn't it?? The prospect of being a mum! 🙈

@djmbaker aww no I hope your nausea gets better soon, I said that the other day maybe I should make myself sick and I'd feel better? My boobs are like rocks 😂 I feel like everytime I look at them they've gone bigger 🙈
Yes it is scary but so exciting I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much before my scan next week, I'm positive everything will be fine though but you can neve be too sure xx

Ohh god I knew this was coming... So every year we go out for a big family Christmas dinner... The place we go is gorgeous and have just emailed my auntie who books to say if all is well they are open and will take provisional bookings... I've said me and DP will go... My question for you guys is... If I haven't had baby before hand due Christmas Eve, would you still go? I love my Christmas dinner and as long as I wasn't in labour would I be ok to go for it? I don't want to miss out on my big fat roast haha x

@Bumble84 that's such a lovely idea! Seems like the perfect time to tell them considering you'll be safely across the 12 week mark! I can't wait to hear everyone's ideas on how to tell people, I need some inspiration 🥰

Morning all!
I'm feeling so very sick this morning, nibbled on all kinds on biscuits and crackers but they were all definite NOs! I'm now back in bed pretending I don't have any work to do, everytime I sit up all I can think about is how sick I feel! I'll be crying about it in no time!!
Reading all of your posts and I think I must be the only person who only did one test?! I was a week late so ordered a pack of three clear blues from Amazon, dip tested and got a very strong positive and that was that! Kept the other two in case I need them again in a year or two... Should I be testing again??!

@djmbaker I'm petrified too, I dont think it's quite hit me yet.. I'm fx going to be a mummy by the end of the year... what the hell!!

@Rnic1x absolutely go for your roast. Might be the last amazing meal you have for a little while!!

I also only did one test, just booked a private scan for the 20th May when I should hopefully be 9 weeks or 10 weeks according to LMP. The lady on the phone was offering me one for next week but I said I would rather wait a bit, she said I am the only person who has ever done that 😂

I have told my mum already because I'm a massive namby pamby who wants to talk to mum when I'm sick! I lasted a week after testing but when the nausea kicked in I just had to tell her! Now I'm feeling guilty about not telling my dad/sibling/inlaws, but I'm not that bothered about them knowing just yet! So don't really know what to do!

Has anybody else totally off the idea of sex? I don't know if it's the cramping which is worrying me or the tiredness but it's honestly the last thing on my mind 🙈 sorry TMI, DP hasn't even mentioned it so I know it's not bothering him but I feel like I'm the only one, people say their sex drive increases well mine certainly hasn't! X

@mrshxoxo what a lovely pic! Thinking of booking ours in for 22 May when we’ll be about 8 weeks.

@Rnic1x is it far from where you live? I think that has to be the deciding factor - you don’t want a two hour drive in labour! We’ll be in a similar situation - normally do Christmas at our parents (either Derbyshire or Gloucestershire) but due on 28th so most likely will have to stay in London and hopefully our parents and siblings can come to us and we can eat out (our flat won’t fit 10+ people), or maybe we can rent somewhere not far away. We’ll just have to figure it out!

I slept super well but all my symptoms have gone - no cramps, mood swings and boobs back to normal. Have a clearblue arriving today so will do it tomorrow first thing - hopefully that gives some reassurance!

@Marshmallow1102 no you don't need to do anymore than one test, just @Katbaby is a really bad influence when it comes to testing 😂
I tested two days after my missed period and the line was faint.. which is why I tested again two days later.. then I did a digi test the day after to see what that said.. I think I just wanted clarification I couldn't believe it?
Any tests since then have been just to see if the line has got darker?? Basically.. it's now turned into an obsession! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Rnic1x yes this is my first and we had been ttc for almost 2 years. We are actually on the IVF wait list so this is just a dream! I’ve also gone off sex, I asked my partner how he felt about it and he’s scared he’ll hurt the baby so at least we’re on the same page kinda. I know he won’t hurt the baby but I don’t want sex so I don’t mind 😂

I also can’t figure out how to tell my mum - a funny surprise or just tell her upfront? Won’t be able to wait for a pic as we’re staying with my parents for lockdown and think she’ll figure it out before 3 weeks time!
