Happy Birthday @Jaffas22 !

@Jellanore welcome! Im also 15 weeks tomorrow! My due date is 19/10. Sorry to hear you've been struggling with morning sickness but I don't think you need to worry about it tailing off at this stage. Mine disappeared at 8 weeks for a bit and then came back at 10 weeks for a second bout!

Mc3209 · 26/04/2020 14:13

@SammySN and @Jellanore welcome ☺️

@Jellanore I wouldn't worry about symptoms wearing off at this stage. My morning sickness is gone. My boobs are still sore, and still have food aversions, and tiredness is there, but overall I am feeling much better.

In the past week I've been craving hot dogs, it's unreal. It got to the point today when I forgot/didn't think to heat up smoked sausage before stuffing it onto the mouth like madwoman...😳 And now I am worried I potentially given myself listeriosis or Toxoplasma or something..

hi everyone
new to mumsnet also due late october so thought I would join you all in this thread.
I'm 14 weeks on Friday and for the past few days I've had a dull ache a bit like cramp in my groin area on the right side. it's more noticeable when I'm sitting/lying down but eases off when i stand and walk around. has anyone else had this or any idea what it might be ?

Freddie1987 · 26/04/2020 15:27

@krissy12 welcome! SmileIt sounds like very normal round ligament pain, I've been getting similar on/off twinges, some right in my uterus too which can be a bit alarming but remember everything is stretching and growing to accommodate growing baby. X

krissy12 · 26/04/2020 15:32

thank you freddie1987 I was wondering about round ligament pain but wasnt 100%sure as its not a sharp pain.

SammySN · 26/04/2020 16:12

@krissy12 yes I have had this too but more on my left side

krissy12 · 26/04/2020 16:18

Thank you I think just with being stuck in with this lockdown I'm just noticing and overthinking everything

KitKatKit · 26/04/2020 16:59

@Mc3209 your story about hot dogs did make me chuckle 😄 I'm sure you're fine and haven't done any harm. I stupidly went for a softish cheese on a cheeseboard (no idea what it was) but it was DELISH and totally forgot I was pregnant. I think I was 8 weeks at that point!

@Krissy12 Welcome! I had exactly the same pains you described and it just sounds like usual stretching. Don't stress 🙂

Jaffas22 · 26/04/2020 20:06

Thanks everyone for your birthday messages ☺️ had a lovely day under the current circumstances!

Welcome to the new ladies who have joined!

And that’s the end of another week! Not long until half way will be approaching for us all☺️ That’s a scary thought!!

DressingGown87 · 26/04/2020 20:07

@SammySN @krissy12 congratulations and welcome! I’m the 20th. I sometimes have some dull pains, but just put it down to indigestion or ligament pain / stretching.

@mc3209 love the hot dog craving! I did think about getting the block of cheese out the fridge the other day, and just chomping on the block 🙈

Bex199205 · 26/04/2020 21:47

Hello ladies,
Hows everyone doing? My sickness has finally gone! Anyone else due on the 20th October? X

roarfeckingroar · 27/04/2020 13:20

@Mc3209 hot dog eating mad woman, brilliant I have certainly eaten things I shouldn't have without meaning to. I figure so long as we don't exist primarily on steak tartare; patè; Roquefort and Barolo (my usual diet) we will be fine.

@krissy12 I had this too and at 16 weeks it has passed, to he replaced with what feels like the worst trapped gas and constipation, without having either.

@Jaffas22 I hope you had a wonderful birthday! Mine was last month and it's pretty strange under lockdown.

I finally cracked and have booked a private scan for SATURDAY!!! I'll be 16+6 and I've pretended it's so DP can see the baby again but really it's because I'm dying to know the sex. I'm absolutely convinced I'm having a girl based on just knowing it, nub theory AND old wives tales so if it's a boy I will be properly shocked. Either will be wonderful; I'm just so excited!!!

DressingGown87 · 27/04/2020 13:52

@Bex199205 congratulations and welcome! We share a due date! Would love for it to actually be 20/10/20 but doubt it will be. How you feeling?

@roarfeckingroar mine is on the 10th I can’t wait, it’s dragging! I’m also convinced it’s a girl, I want to but an outfit or something I can relate to. But again as long as it’s healthy I’m happy. October feels like an eternity away at the minute 🙈

Sls668 · 27/04/2020 13:56

I am feeling quite good today, eaten well and drinking lots of water so feeling like I’ve achieved something. Yesterday, I felt like an absolute potato so I don’t think I’m quite in the ‘glowing stage’ yet 😂
I’ve read that it’s way too early for maternity clothes and I have zero bump but all my clothes are starting to hurt me (even my faithful old leggings!) and my bra doesn’t seem to fit anymore! What do we do for the in between stage?

SammySN · 27/04/2020 14:04

@sls668 I am also thinking the same clothes wise, I've been living in joggers and what dresses I have but now thinking at what point do I change this? I've also been wearing a non wired bra for many weeks now! I've thought the same about it being a bit early for maternity wear. I was thinking maybe getting some pregnacy leggings now tho (as thinking of moving to leggings next) and just some loose, long tops? I'd be interested to know what everyone else is doing atm?

1990shopefulftm · 27/04/2020 14:10

@Sls668 I ve been in maternity clothes or stretchy leggings for a couple of weeks. The elasticated waists are much more comfortable.
@SammySN most of the maternity wear I ve got doesn't look too bad despite being a bit baggy, bought it early so I ll get a lot of wear out of it.

roarfeckingroar · 27/04/2020 14:14

I'm wearing a mix of loose clothes and a couple of maternity bits. I can see a bump now, which is quite lovely.

Sls668 · 27/04/2020 14:22

I don’t have a bump at all, just seem to be growing outwards around the hips! I’ve just bought leggings a size up thinking they’d work fine but still a bit uncomfy around the waist! I might just have to order some maternity leggings!

DressingGown87 · 27/04/2020 14:34

I’m going to order my maternity leggings today, my old / normal ones are just uncomfortable. I think new look or ASOS are meant to be good.

Been wearing tie bikini tops instead of bras, but might need to bite the bullet and get some of them too, as I think wearing a bikini in the rain might look a bit odd 😂

Freddie1987 · 27/04/2020 14:37

I've caved in and bought some maternity jeans then had a good laugh at myself pulling the top band up right beneath my boobs! Sooooo comfy though. Have also invested in a nursing bra from Hot Milk which is nice but doesn't give the best shape. Debating what else to get as I don't want to waste loads on clothes I'll only wear for a few months, but I think long floaty tops and dresses are key! There's some great nursing versions of tops though, so might buy one or two of those...

Bex199205 · 27/04/2020 15:15

@DressingGown87 how exciting. I'm actually feeling really well thanks. How are you doing? I havent got much of a bump yet which is making me slightly anxious. Have you? X

SammySN · 27/04/2020 16:48

Thanks guys, I will get on the look out for some maternity leggings then I think. My sister got some from Jo Jo maman Bebe and said they are good too.

1990shopefulftm · 27/04/2020 16:53

Seem to get ligament pain whenever I sneeze.

DressingGown87 · 27/04/2020 17:03

@1990shopefulftm sound stupid but try and turn to the side when your going to sneeze. I’ve found that helps.

@Bex199205 I’m feeling good, I’m defiantly more rounded but have been for a few weeks. I think everyone is different, some people just pop overnight.

@Freddie1987 I’ve just ordered leggings and vest tops. I think I have some maxi dresses and stuff which will hopefully fit in the summer.

1990shopefulftm · 27/04/2020 17:07

@DressingGown87 I ll give it a go :) it's mostly a problem when I m sat working.
