@justtb Congratulations and welcome! Hopefully by October there is a little bit of normality back in the world. I’m due on the 20th

parks11 · 25/04/2020 09:02

@DressingGown87, I’m also due on Oct 20th!! 😊
Trying not to get too excited as had previous MMC and took ages to get pregnant. Fingers crossed.. good so far!
Think if 20w looks ok, then I’ll start to plan and tell people xxxx

DressingGown87 · 25/04/2020 09:16

@parks11 I’m the same, I’ve had 7 mmc in 2011-2015, then in 2016 got told I couldn’t have children. So trying not to get too excited or plan to far ahead. But we are here and we are pregnant and 14weeks! I have a scan in 2 weeks, but like you I’m waiting until 20 to start really getting my stuff together. It’s a great due date 20/10/20! Fingers crossed!

Freddie1987 · 25/04/2020 09:22

@BS9790 great, thanks! I'll bear that in mind in case we decide to go private to find out gender together. X

Jaffas22 · 25/04/2020 10:46

Iv woke up today and I feel so weak and shaky! As though my blood sugar is low. Iv had breakfast and tried to eat something sugary but it’s no better. My whole body just feels like jelly. Anybody had this before?

1990shopefulftm · 25/04/2020 11:54

@Jaffas22 have you had your blood pressure checked recently? Could just be a little low.

Freddie1987 · 25/04/2020 12:07

@Jaffas22 I've definitely had days like that so try not to worry too much! I actually feel SO sluggish and unmotivated today, trying to force myself out for a walk but feel knackered. Maybe it's iron levels? Try to eat something nourishing or make yourself a nice hot chocolate and chill for a bit then I'm sure you'll feel a bit perkier. Hope you feel better later xBrew

justtb · 25/04/2020 13:43

Thank you everyone. It's been so nice to hear I have the same due date as some of you. I had private scan at 7 weeks which was lovely. 12 week scan was very surreal though! Waiting room was very quiet, partner wasn't allowed in, sonographer couldn't talk much and asked me to look away from her during scan..

@Mc3209 everything things been going okay so far, had a spike in morning sickness a couple weeks back but it seems to be settling again

Sls668 · 25/04/2020 13:51

What is everyone doing regarding vitamins after 12 weeks? I’ve been using the standard pregnacare and bought a new box as I’d run out but I’ve now read that you don’t need to keep taking after 12 weeks. I might as well use the supply I’ve got but should I continue throughout or not bother? I have to take iron supplements which I do separately so will keep these on.

Jaffas22 · 25/04/2020 14:00

@1990shopefulftm & @Freddie1987 thanks ladies picked up a bit this afternoon .. or maybe that’s just after placing an online order of £200 worth of maternity clothes, I’m so sick of feeling uncomfortable and living in my pjs!!!

roarfeckingroar · 25/04/2020 14:01

@Sls668 just iron + Vit C and vitamin D

1990shopefulftm · 25/04/2020 14:13

@Jaffas22 I feel a fair bit better when I m dressed for the day, I ve been in maternity clothes for a couple of weeks.
@Sls668 I m just taking vitamin D. I think some people like to take pregnacare the whole way through their pregnancies.

DogCatDex · 25/04/2020 14:19

@Sls668i was given 9 months supply by my midwife which has Vit D, Vit C and folic acid so I’ll keep taking those just because I have them.

I’m super sorry to hear about all the ladies who’ve had MMC, this is my first baby and I thought I was fine after 12 weeks (I’m now 14) - I’m suddenly worried I shouldn’t have told people!

I think we’ll be having private scans at 16 weeks too. NHS scab didn’t give us a print out but the private one we had earlier did. It quite nice having a hard copy 😊

FirstTimeBumps · 25/04/2020 14:36

@Sls668 last time midwife advised.to continue through pregnancy. I'm still taking pregnacare, they're nice and cheap in home bargains 😁

DressingGown87 · 25/04/2020 14:38

@Jaffas22 I have days like that, I’ve taken to drinking one can of fizzy pop a day. Which has helped loads, and made it so I can go for walks again.

I need to order some maternity clothes! Living in bikini tops as the minute.

@Sls668 I’m on healthy start vitamins given to by the midwife, prescribed folic acid and iron tablets.

@dogcatdex Don’t worry, the risk reduce significantly after 12 weeks, which is when most people tell people. I told people earlier, but mainly because they all knew the risks with me. Can’t believe they didn’t give you a copy of the scan at 12 weeks.

KitKatKit · 25/04/2020 14:38

@Sls668 I've been wondering the same, I've still got a few weeks worth of my Seven Seas but have kind of given up the last few days (I'm 14+5). I might finish the packs I have and then just take Vit D from thereon.

KitKatKit · 25/04/2020 14:40

@DressingGown87 I've definitely had a sudden urge for fizzy drinks over the last few weeks! Wasn't a frequent consumer before but now an ice cold sugar free, caffeine free 7Up goes down a treat Wink

DogCatDex · 25/04/2020 15:59

I’d double check with your midwife about the fizzy drinks craving. I was told by mine it was an early sign of iron deficiency, nothing to worry about of course but might mean you guys should be taking iron tablets?

FirstTimeBumps · 25/04/2020 16:58

@KitKatKit I'm normally addicted to cans of pop but all I want at the moment is ridiculously diluted orange squash. Top much sweetness doesn't sit well with me ATM but then again nothing seem to. Wish my appetite would come back 😔

DressingGown87 · 25/04/2020 17:30

@KitKatKit I know Ice cold Fanta lemon or Pepsi!! 😊 I was drinking vimto by the gallon at first and now it’s them.

@DogCatDex I’m already on Iron tablets have been for 9 months, but may explain my sudden craving.

Sls668 · 25/04/2020 18:21

@DogCatDex I saw that some areas give a full supply for your whole pregnancy. I’ve talked to 3 midwives already (everyone seems to be very busy so it seems to be different ones each time which I’m fine with atm) and none of them have mentioned it so I guess we don’t here!

If I have to continue taking Vitamin D throughout I might as well stick with what I’ve got, I’m terrible at remembering to take them. It comes to me at about 10pm every night!

1990shopefulftm · 25/04/2020 18:32

I seem to be craving salty foods a lot for some reason. All the talk of fizzy drinks makes me a little jealous, I m allergic to a lot of them.

DressingGown87 · 25/04/2020 19:06

Aww sorry @1990shopefulftm is it sugar or something in them?? I am loving really strong salt and vinegar crisps and a certain cheese I could eat the whole block, dipped in salad cream 😂

1990shopefulftm · 25/04/2020 19:09

@DressingGown87 I get excema because of some of the additives in them so lemonade is the only one I tend to have. Yes strong salt and vinegar crisps I ve been having loads of those, wonder if it's to do with having more blood in our bodies.

roarfeckingroar · 25/04/2020 19:30

Just wondering, what's the point of the 16 week midwife appointment if it's over the phone ?
