So pleased all's well @1990shopefulftm Smile

DressingGown87 · 21/04/2020 10:38

@1990shopefulftm Congratulations, glad everything went well. I made that mistake too! Sat there trying to pee!

@EmmaA96 Thank you. I've been looking at the Bugaboo Fox, don't know the difference between the styles. What age do they go up to realistically? I know I think it would help it become real, if i could just wander around a shop and push something.

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 11:21

@DressingGown87 I had to go for a walk for ten minutes to be able to do the urine test for them.

FirstTimeBumps · 21/04/2020 11:28

@1990shopefulftm glad it went well! I did the same but the sonographer asked me to empty my bladder to try and get the baby to move. I'd say and drank a litre of water in the waiting room though so needed to pee after I'd already peed in the sonographers room and was then fine to go again when I had to give a sample 🤣

KitKatKit · 21/04/2020 11:28

@1990shopefulftm Oh amazing, so glad it went well! Star

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 11:32

@FirstTimeBumps maybe they ll be calm relaxed babies when their older:p

UpsyDaisy1234 · 21/04/2020 12:07

@1990sHopefulftm I'm glad yours went well. Thanks for the water tip. I'd take a bottle along.

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 12:50

@UpsyDaisy1234 hope yours goes well :)

BS9790 · 21/04/2020 13:25

Does anyone have a bump starting to show?
I look huge but deffo not baby, as my tilted uterus is still tipped far back. Just all bloat! X

EmmaA96 · 21/04/2020 13:28

@DressingGown87 My eldest is 3 and she still fits in it perfectly! Just at the age where she needs to walk though!! 😂

Flora20 · 21/04/2020 13:52

@BS9790 I was saying to my husband this morning that I'm a bit worried how big I'm going to get this time round, I didn't show at all until 20 weeks last time and even the week before I gave birth I was wearing my normal winter coat with no problem.

Now I've got a bump that's about the size I was at 22/23 weeks last time! Probably aided by a substantial amount of chocolate but it's getting pretty firm and definitely a bump. Also starting to feel movements ♥️

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 13:53

@BS9790 I m not sure if I have part bump and part bloat, it's solid near the bottom but not so much at the top of my stomach. It's very noticeable either way.

Jaffas22 · 21/04/2020 14:02

After possibly one of the scariest weeks of my life. The amount of stress, exposure to radiation through xrays and lung scans to rule out covid and a clot on my lung.. this little fighter made it through and still going strong. I am so relieved and thanking my lucky stars ❤️❤️ Thanks for all your support ladies!

@BS9790 I am getting a bit rounder than I normally am. I managed to feel the top of my uterus poking up above pubic bone, which I got quite excited about Smile. There is definitely lots of bloat on top of that of course.

@Jaffas22 That's fantastic news! I am so happy that everything is well on the scans, you have really been through it all. xxx

@Jaffas22 glad everything went well at the scan , that's a lot to deal with, I hope everything gets easier for you from now onwards.

roarfeckingroar · 21/04/2020 15:23

Congrats @FirstTimeBumps and @Jaffas22 !!

I have a bit of roundness in my lower abdomen but I'm 15 + 2.

I flashed the poor pharmacist in Boots yesterday Grin. I told him I don't pay for prescriptions because I'm pregnant and he was sceptical because I didn't have my exemption letter so I sort of panicked and turned to the side, stuck my stomach out and lifted up what I thought was my top layer but nope, it was my only layer and asked "will this do?". He almost threw the drugs at me!

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 15:44

@roarfeckingroar oh that's was what I meant to ask at my appointment today, how I get them to order my exemption card. I think they just don't want a complaint if you got fined despite being eligible (I used to work in pharmacy).

Danielle95lab · 21/04/2020 15:52

Argh ladies I'm scared! Midwife just rang with my screening results. All came back low risk apart from my PAPP-A hormone. Which is 0.28, apparently it causes second trimester miscarriage (that's what google said not the midwife) and low birth weight etc. So now I'm absolutely bricking it, I can't believe it xxx

DressingGown87 · 21/04/2020 15:55

@EmmaA96 thank you that’s good to know, and maybe allow me to justify the price a bit more.

@Jaffas22 congratulations! Some good news after the horrific couple of weeks you’ve had.

@BS9790 I caved and bought maternity leggings this morning, I’m definitely more rounded!

@1990shopefulftm the midwife does it online for you. So maybe give yours a call. They did mine at my booking appointment when I was sat in the room.

DressingGown87 · 21/04/2020 15:57

@Danielle95lab awww sorry to hear that, hopefully they can give you some more information. Are they calling you back at any point? So you can ask more questions?

Danielle95lab · 21/04/2020 16:00

@DressingGown87 she said to call if I have any question. But she's just said to take aspirin every night and I'll get an additional 3 scans after 20 weeks to check on growth. It's just awful not knowing what to do x

1990shopefulftm · 21/04/2020 16:02

@DressingGown87 fortunately I have one prescribed medicine and I have plenty of it left so no rush, I ll ask when I next to speak to them. As I d like to try getting into an NHS dentist if I can since it ll be free for a while now.
@Danielle95lab can you call back and ask if a consultant can do a phone appointment for you?

Jaffas22 · 21/04/2020 16:10

@Danielle95lab sorry to hear that! Frustrating when you finally get that reassurance then something else happens! .. a lot of people still go on to have healthy babies, it’s just a higher risk but at least now they’ve found the problem they will keep a closer eye on you. Try not to worry (I know it’s easier said than done) xxx

babymama09 · 21/04/2020 16:30

Hi ladies, sorry not been on here to reply back. I have had my consultant appointment today and I did actually get to see her. (the last two times I had her as a consultant she was never there and I called her the phantom consultation until I gave birth). I am due to have this baby by elective c section by end of Sept 😁😁😁😁 wasn't what I was expecting as I have had three c sections before and didn't think I could have any more but that's what she said, I will be monitored at 16, 20, 24, 28, 30 weeks, I'm sure there's more but I have forgot. How has everyone got on with their scans and appointments? I do hope your all well. I tried to add my scan but my post didn't come up and I'm not sure why. Jo Xxx
