@Rach167 Welcome & Congratulations! Crossing my fingers for you & hoping that everything is ok.

Mc3209 · 13/04/2020 15:37

Had my scan today as part of the Harmony screen, all looking fine, measuring 11+1 instead of my 11+2 I am by LMP, but wriggly and ok ☺️ Now just need to wait for bloods to come back. This will be a long week.

@Rach167 hope the scan goes well tomorrow, I m due the day after you and had no problem getting an abdominal scan at 8 weeks so hopefully they can switch to that for you.

1990shopefulftm · 13/04/2020 15:43

@Mc3209 I hope you get the bloods back quickly.

Told my work colleagues today so I think everyone knows now.
My joint pains are better some of the time but sometime I need a pillow under my back as it gets uncomfortable.

Lolllyf · 13/04/2020 16:35

@Mc3209 Hope yours come back sooner than mine! Would have been a week last Thursday and was hoping to get them before Easter but they hadn’t come back yet and the unit has been closed.

BS9790 · 13/04/2020 18:29

Ladies who have had their NHS dating scan... How quickly do they tell you that there's a heartbeat? I'm hoping they tell you ASAP, can't stand the thought of having to lie there in silence waiting!

Also, I have a tilted uterus. Does anyone else have this? I was told it could affect the quality of scan and that they may need to do an internal at 12wk to see everything they need. However, I've had a private abdominal scan and they could see everything fine. So guessing it should be OK! X

babymama09 · 13/04/2020 18:30

Hi girls,
I am expecting baby number 7 on October 21st or thereabouts none of my kids were on time everyone of them was late. I have had six kids altogether 3 boys aged 14, 11 & 6 and three girls (2 of my girls were stillbirth 07 & 09) youngest daughter is 5. So quite a big gap between kids. Not told anyone other than kids and partner. Can't believe how nervous I am about this. Congrats on all your pregnancies.

Rach167 · 13/04/2020 18:36

Thank you all so much for the support x

The MW told me on the phone that the EPAU near me only offer internal scans because it allows closer inspection of the pelvic organs, this will also be my first scan/face to face appointment as I had my booking appointment on the phone due to all the issues going on now, I was still waiting for my first scan letter to arrive it’s been weeks since I’ve spoken to anyone! Ive just had to rely on my own reassurance that everything is ok and then the pain & bleeding started so they booked me in for this appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they can do my bloods tomorrow too.

@Mc3209 good luck for the results I hope you get them back fast.

1990shopefulftm · 13/04/2020 18:37

@BS9790 would you feel confident telling the sonographer that when you walk in the room?

I ve not had my scan yet but I m going to try and say that the silence would make me uncomfortable so if possible if they could at least tell me that heartbeat is there.

Mc3209 · 13/04/2020 20:04

@1990shopefulftm They will talk you through it. I've got everything crossed for you for your scan. I was so amazed at how much baby looked like a baby, and not a bean it was on 7 week scan, that few seconds flew by before she told me the heartbeat was strong. And then it was wrigling and kicking, and it was an awesome experience.

@Lolllyf I hope you get your results in the next few days. I hate the unknown. I am good with accepting and dealing with whatever life throws up, but unknown is a pain.

My mood is crazy all over the place. I have to really proofread my work emails to make sure I don't blow the lid unnecessarily.. tiring.

@BS9790 not had my 12 week one yet, but had a private one at 10+2 almost two weeks ago and literally they showed me the baby within a minute if not less, so I knew everything was fine. But like others have said, if you're worried ask them to tell you if the heartbeat is there ASAP x

DressingGown87 · 13/04/2020 22:41

@Mc3209 glad everything went ok at the harmony, hope you get your results soon. I’m the same, anxiety makes me rather impatient. I’ve also been a wreck for 48hours, and blown my top a few times, at people.

I’m just so anxious for my scan tomorrow. As stupid as this sounds, I never expected to get to 12weeks, it has gone wrong 7 times. For years I rebuilt my life, had counseling, and lived with the fact I was never going to have a child. Now I just feel like I’m in a crazy dream, and tomorrow they are just going to tell me something is wrong.

Rach167 · 14/04/2020 02:04

@DressingGown87
Good luck for your scan, I hope everything is ok for you.

I pray that we can all get the reassurance that we hope for ladies, walk into the unknown with positive energy & love, as testing as times can be we’re all stronger than we know Smile

UpsyDaisy1234 · 14/04/2020 03:18

@Babymama09 Welcome & Congratulations!

@DressingGown87 I am sorry to hear about those. You are one strong lady to have never given up. It's ok to worry during pregnancy. Its also ok to be nervous before a scan. Ignore the anxiety or worry and hold on to positivity always. I'm crossing my fingers out for you & hoping that everything is ok with your scan today. Take good care!

KitKatKit · 14/04/2020 09:26

Hi Everyone, stepped away from MN for a while as had a few issues with bleeds and visits to the EPAU.....just needed some space from it all. Also work was pretty crazy as it has been for many people recently so not really had much spare time. I've got my 12 (13!) week scan on Friday and have everything crossed it's all ok - feel sad my husband can't come along especially as it's our 1st pregnancy! Starting to feel quite anxious about going, as a Hospital is the last place I want to be right now. Lovely having a read and catch up with everyone's news this morning.....took me a while as I was only up to the 1st thread!! Good to hear some of you also have less symptoms around this time as my nausea has definitely improved no end and in some odd way it was reassuring it being there! xxx

babymama09 · 14/04/2020 13:17

@dressinggown good luck for today hun, I understand the anxious feeling. I have my scan with this one on Friday and I am very nervous. I lost two babies to hydrops fluid around internal organs in 07 and again in 09 and I even though I have had four healthy births, I miscarried last year in May. Always get worried that the hydrops could come back and as it has happened twice the percentage has gone up. Good luck to all you expecting mummies and glad all is okay for those that had had your scans. Those waiting we r all here for you! 🙏🤗🤗

babymama09 · 14/04/2020 13:20

Sorry @dressinggown87**

1990shopefulftm · 14/04/2020 13:36

@Helly88 I m sorry to hear you ve had a difficult time, thinking of you for your scan in Friday.

Helly88 · 14/04/2020 14:25

@DressingGown87 Wishing you all the best for your scan. xx

Helly88 · 14/04/2020 14:26

@1990shopefulftm Thanks very much Smile

DressingGown87 · 14/04/2020 14:54

Hi everyone! Thank you all for your huge messages of support. I’ve had my scan, and everything was fine. ☺️ They’ve moved me 3 days so I’m 13 weeks today. It (although the sonographer said he all the time) wouldn’t stop rolling over, waving, so took ages to get the measurements. Will get my blood results from the screening within a week. The sonographer was brilliant and told me the heartbeat straight away. But found the appointment afterwards very rushed, I asked about my fainting, didn’t get a reply. It wasn’t my usual midwife. There was standing room only (counted 22 people) waiting in the room, so they where really struggling today.

I’ve attached the best scans! She gave me 5 free of charge, when I couldn’t decide which to pick. Any guesses?

Good luck for all your scans this week, hope your all ok? And thank you again for your kind words.

@BS9790 I also have a tilted uterus - The scans I had at the EPAU at 6.5 & 8 weeks were both internal and were quite uncomfortable, she said it was a bit harder to see whats going on due to the angle, but as the pregnancy progresses the uterus should straighten up and then there wont be any difference.

LadyB90 · 14/04/2020 15:54

@DressingGown87
So pleased for you that your scan went well! Hopefully you feel like you can relax a little bit now? I feel like it's such an anxious wait to get to the first scan! Mine is on Thursday. So close yet so far!
