Anyone awaiting arrival of their baby?

Hi,

My baby is due next Wednesday 8th April. Is anyone awaiting there little bundle to arrive around the same time?

Also how you feeling about the virus at such an special time for us

8 days to go and nothing here either. This is the strangest time of my entire life. Willing something to happen but also absolutely dreading it with a passion as well. I hate every minute of being pregnant, but I am at least sleeping. Dreading the horrendous pain of labour plus the aftermath and then the sleepless ness. It’s such a weird place to be. The only positive I feel right now is giving my daughter her baby sister, but 1) that’s going to be hit and miss as she is only 2.5 so its going to be very confusing for her and 2) i cant allow myself to think positively that all will go well and ill be bringing a baby home (i am like this in general, cant bear to think of the best case scenario in case it doesnt happen). I feel very messed up! Am just plodding through each day in a haze really. No crying or emotions, just a bit numb

He did actually. I even mentioned to DH that he was more active than normal.

To be honest, he kept dropping in and out of my pelvis so I couldn’t even use the pressure as a reference.

I lost my show slowly over 3 days, there was a lot more the night I went into labour but that was only sign.

Mild contractions literally started out of nowhere at 2am with no prior pain or cramping.

@123456kent I feel exactly like you.Frightened of the labour yet want my baby born.Worried about how I am now going to manage 2 children but longed for this second child for 3 years.
I haven’t had any more pains.i am 38 weeks 5 days now and second day after sweep.hope all you ladies are ok.

@Maggie90 thanks well I have woke up to nothing lol so he clearly just likes to pretend 😅 it would be nice to go over weekend but I highly doubt it I guess I just need to sit and wait, I can have a sweep on Monday but am going to get midwife to check my cervix first and if its still high or less likely to work i will wait until the following week its just so annoying but with my first I had no sign until the day when I lost plug and then I started having contractions xx

Well no contractions here after sweep but losing bloody mucus plug so fingers crossed it has done something

@nicciw87 with my 1st I started to lose my plug and then contractions started a few hrs later mild cramps at first then full contractions so sounds promising for you keep us updated and good luck xx

Thanks @KHall84 consultant did say that he didn't think it was going to work hoping he was wrong but doubt it come on babies time for you all to come out lol

@KHall84 not a thing here either going to have a nice Chinese now and maybe even a wee half glass wine make the most of this free time before he does arrive. Haven't drank my whole pregnancy but dying for a glass now so might just indulge

@nicciw87 I have been thinking the same thing I could really have a glass of wine tonight xx and you never know it might help you lol am trying sex tonight as am willing to try anything at this point 😅

@KHall84 I asked him he told me no too awkward now lol hopefully it works for u only thing I haven't tried

@nicciw87 we haven't since I was about 10 weeks as h8sband finds it strange he thinks he will do damage to baby not sure how big he thinks he is but I have told him we're giving it a go I have a feeling it won't work but its worth a shot xx

Lol, I tried sex, it was erm, interesting!!
Anything is worth ago at this point.

Sex got dd2 out, I’m sure of it! I might try and persuade dp if he can get past the fog of clary sage oil

@Maggie90 @nicciw87 @Sgeld22 Well I didn't end up dtd I was actually very tired but we will be tonight no sign of baby still for me not even any twinges but I have come out in a eczema type rash on my chest am not sure if its the clary sage oil although am not putting any on my chest when I use it I seem to come out in it on my chest but I have also been using false tan which I haven't used this make before so could also be that or it could just be pregnancy 😅 how r we all this morning ? Xx

No news here, due date is tomorrow! He's definitely lower as I feel him moving along my pelvic bones more (such a weird sensation) having a sweep on Wednesday so fingers crossed I really do not want to be induced in hospital. X

@Sgeld122 @KHall84 @Marshy86 Well due date today and no signs here but crampy this morning and still having a bloody show but that's it not holding out much hope for today but hopefully soon

@nicciw87 thats really good though that your crampy i started like that with my 1st so that morning I went to our new house we had just bought and chiseled some tiles off wall and done some house work and by PM I was having contractions not close together but it was the start for me so go for a walk or house chores or just be as active as possible I would say xx

@KHall84 not holding out hope seem to be crampy every morning anyway today going to go for a walk but chill apart from that.

Just heading home from the hospital after my induction. Now just a waiting game x

@nicciw87 yay well you will definitely have to keep me updated i am going to try dtd tonight when my little boy goes to bed although I feel like nothing us going to happen in next few days I feel like he is in there for the long haul lol I have also broke out in some red patches on my chest kind of looks like eczemea but its not am assuming its pregnancy related x
