Carrying on our discussion and hopefully having less of the nausea, morning sickness and sore boobs as the thread progresses!

@TangBloodyFastic you are similar to me. I'm okay at the moment but don't want to speak too soon! A lot of people say 6 weeks but it's my first pregnancy so I don't know when mine will kick in.

@ParisInTheSpringtime I've heard people say Spud before! Great news that you had a scan

I understand the different views on pregnancy and Covid-19 but I do still worry for it.

From what I've seen on the news and been able to access online, the study in China was based on only 9 women who gave birth. It's such a small number and they all had c-sections. Then subsequently a woman in the UK gave birth to her baby who had Coronavirus. The biggest thing that presents a ? For me (please prove me wrong if you've access to other info) is that these women will have been further on in their pregnancy when they caught the virus. I know the government said that here doesn't seem to be anything that would affect an early pregnancy but we're yet to see that I suppose. I'm a front line job too, I've heard on the grapevine that they're asking pregnant colleagues to work from home/be granted special leave but I'm yet to hear this from my manager. I'm due to go back into work towards the end of this week so I'll likely hear something by then.

Hope things are going well ladies. I'm 7w tomorrow. Had a scan last week due to bleeding and pains but things looked ok. Really struggling with awful sickness at the moment!

@ParisInTheSpringtime oh I'm so glad to hear your scan went well- I was thinking about you yesterday. I have one on Thursday when I'll be 6+6 and I've everything crossed something will be there- had one at 5+3 and could only see the gestational sac so I'm convinced something is wrong (doctor wasn't bothered at all though!)
Ours is currently "sesame seed" as that's how big it was when we found out 😂

@ACatCalledLola same here, the fb group kept me sane during my first pregnancy and has turned into a wonderful group of friends. I’ve made settings as such that we can be secret squirrels and no one can search the group

Good luck @ohiwishyouwerehere ! It was weird, I didn’t expect to see the heartbeat but there it was. I think it made it a bit more “real”.

I don’t really use fb but I will join the group.

Hey everyone
Very new to this, I should be 6 weeks today but at the weekend had some really bad cramping and now spot bleeding (brown not red at the moment and not a lot) doctors are sending me for a scan on Thursday to check but I am not feeling too positive. Did a CL digital test at the weekend and it said 2-3 weeks (I would have expected it to say 3+) and done one this morning and it said 1-2 so looks like my levels may have dropped :( trying to prepare myself for the worst x

@salexm123 sorry to hear this, spotting is common at this time and annoyingly cramping can be a sign of either. Fingers crossed for you for Thursday, have you got a support network IRL if you need it?

@littlegem84 thanks yes my husband is amazing and coming with me (although think he doesn't know if he is coming or going as one minute I am excited and next upset and convinced of bad news!)

I’d like to join the Facebook group but only after 12 weeks when I’ve told parents, friends, etc 😊

Nervous first timer over here 😬 every day is a milestone! Only 4+3 (due 22 Nov) TTC exactly 1 year off the pill. Trying to put it all to the back of my mind and wait out to 8-10 weeks. Does anyone go for a blood test yet? Or is all of that done at first appointment? Also no symptoms of sore breasts and tiredness - seems to have gone away?? Nervous it’s a bad sign

@ohiwishyouwerehere can you tell me how come you have had such early ultrasound scans? I'm with a fertility clinic and they won't be seeing me until I am 7.5 weeks. Thanks

Apologies if I i scared anyone saying self isolation! The advice is confusing and that is what I took from the press conference, they have provided clearer guidance now on social distancing which someone has already shared
I'd be up for a facebook group, I found the one I'm in for my dd to be invaluable but not sure I'm quite ready to join it yet as it's so early

Would love to join the Facebook group but not sure I really want everyone having a way to know who I am until we have had the first scan.
