I'm 7+4 today judging by my last period although my cycles have recently been a bit odd so could be just 7 weeks!

Symptoms include very sore boobs especially in morning, darker nipples, higher sex drive, morning sickness and extreme tiredness at around 7pm.

I have been eating lots of fruit but cannot go near any kinds of vegetables or salad bits. Avocados are a big no. Loving dippy eggs and jam on toast. Can't stand meat but don't eat much of it anyways so nothing new. Read somewhere above that someone made sweet potato and now I've demanded DH makes me sweet potato fries for tea with houmous for tea haha. I'm so easily influenced by what you guys are eating. The other day I read someone had a cheese and pickle sandwich so I asked DH to make me one and it reallllyyy hit the spot!! Keep the foody inspo coming ladies!

I am still working as a Nanny and doing 7:30-7 so it's a long day and I'm practically asleep by the time I get in my car - which isn't ideal. Over the weekend I struggled to shower and basically just moped around the house feeling sick and achey.

Love catching up on this forum when I get the chance so great you've setup a new one xx

@MoreGinPlease2020 My hospital have just confirmed that unless things change by then, my partner won't be able to come to the 12 week scan.

I asked for pics of my early (reassurance) scan the other day and I said I doubted DP would be allowed in for the 12 week. Midwife nodded, deadset, she's adamant it won't change by then.
It's a shame, but what can we do? Small price for keeping safe x

Feeling like crap today, no energy, too much saliva, feeling sick. Tried gin gins sweets, ginger tea, ginger biscuits, went on a walk, nothing is helping. I think I'll just go to bed and cross my fingers for tomorrow...

ChrissyLove20 · 30/03/2020 18:42

Feel extra crappy today!

My partner bought us a puppy last week which we have had to let go today.
My partner is a key worker and works mostly on his own so he is in work every day.
I am homeschooling my 6 year old and working from home while dealing with pregnancy symptoms. I was trying so hard to manage puppy on top of that. I was trying to train her and my partner would come home and undo it all by just giving into puppy and giving her whatever she wanted. So every morning I felt like I was starting again. I explained all this to him everyday but he just thought I wasn't keen on puppy.

Despite all that his upset that we've had to let her go and now being funny with me as ultimately I made the final decision but I am also the one home all day every day.

Just feel at a loss. I've taken a walk today and it helped with my MS for about an hour but still got excess saliva and metallic taste in my mouth.

I'm only 5+5 so still got a long way to go with raging hormones and up down emotions Sad

KatieGlo · 30/03/2020 19:02

Aww no, that's so sad about the puppy, but it sounds like it's the best decision in the long run.
You've got a kid and another one in the oven, you can't be expected to do everything especially as partner isn't being very helpful!

WildflowerPetals · 31/03/2020 11:02

Anyone who hasn’t told their parents about their pregnancy yet - Have you thought about how you might announce it if social distancing measures are still in place? DH and I are telling our parents after our first scan (probably mid-end of April), we really want to tell them in person but I know that might not be possible 😔

canueve · 31/03/2020 11:55

My in-laws are isolating as both are high risk, but we still do food shopping for them. As my baby is due just two days before my FIL and my dad's bday we will do a little joke about having to share a bday now and give them a card and baby scan.
Of course, it will suck not being able to hug them, but I'll probably stick to this idea.
I also thought about doing something with papers, like in Love Actually which would be quite nice to film their reaction.

I'll be 12 weeks early May and if this is still going on but with a date to end I might try to wait until 16 weeks. Easier said than done, but that's my plan so far.

KatieGlo · 31/03/2020 19:27

Father's Day is in June- maybe do a grandad card from the bump?

wannabebump · 31/03/2020 21:11

@WildflowerPetals I've started to think about how to tell our parents...then I pinch myself and remember not to get too ahead of myself! I think I'd deliver a parcel to them with a little card inside and babygro or similar and then watch them open it through the window. It'll kill me not to hug them though, especially my mum & dad SadSad

Thinking about how to tell anyone is quite strange - absolutely no one knows apart from me & DH! Xx

WildflowerPetals · 31/03/2020 21:21

@canueve Our original idea was to give them a card with the scan picture inside but I want to see their reaction when they open it. I know there’s the option to do it over FaceTime but I don’t feel it’s the same - but maybe it’ll be our only option! X

@katieglo Thanks for the idea but I’d like something that incorporates both parents x

@wannabebump I try not to get too ahead of myself too but I can’t help it, I’m a perfectionist so I’m always thinking ahead haha. I thought something similar about giving them a card but it’d feel strange standing behind a window while they open it and not able to hug them.

Apart from my manager, my DH is the only person who knows too x

wannabebump · 31/03/2020 21:26

I think I'd still love to see their reaction in person and not over FaceTime or Skype, so through the window is the only alternative I think at the moment. Unless I wait until after all this chaos is over, but I don't want to wait longer than necessary really x

canueve · 01/04/2020 08:22

@WildflowerPetals I know it's not the same, but couldn't you go to their house and keep the distance? At least it is in person. Hopefully, it won't come to that.

WildflowerPetals · 01/04/2020 09:40

@wannabebump I thought about waiting until all this is over but it’s killing me waiting this long anyway haha x

@canueve I was thinking I could go to their house and ring them when me and DH are outside and ask them to come out. Then at least we’d be out in the open/fresh air so it’s safer x

wannabebump · 01/04/2020 13:57

@WildflowerPetals I can't wait until this is all over either! X

Pippop21 · 01/04/2020 18:16

Has anyones thighs been aching like they have walked a lot? Mine have and i have been sat in a office chair all day today. They feel like a dull growing pain like i remember i used to get when i was little but in my lower shins lol could be completely unrelated

KatieGlo · 01/04/2020 18:22

Yes I had that a few days ago, it's like you've been working out, but having done naff all! I thought it was strange too!

Has anyone signed up to (or done with previous babies) any of these 'baby club' type schemes to get samples and freebies and vouchers etc? Are they just a scam or are they worth doing?

wannabebump · 01/04/2020 18:34

@KatieGlo I've looked at them, after my scan I think I'll do some. I've read some mixed reviews about Emma's Diary though x

Pippop21 · 01/04/2020 18:35

@KatieGlo oh good thought i was going bonkers!! Its very strange lol!!

Yes i have in the past, you mostly get bombarded with leaflets but i did get a cute teddy for free off cow and gate like ten years ago haha xx

Pink15 · 01/04/2020 18:46

@Pippop21 a few of my friends got the cow haha think it's quite a reliable freebie x

Pippop21 · 01/04/2020 18:58

@Pink15 🙈🤣 i think i still have it somewhere haha

KatieGlo · 01/04/2020 19:11

I think I'll sign up for a cow then- can't go wrong with a cuddly toy!
I thought the others would be too good to be true, not worth getting bombarded with emails and junk mail for..

Blueeyedgirrl81 · 01/04/2020 21:20

Hi there, I am currently 6 weeks +6 and have experienced spotting on two occasions. First was on Sunday and had an early scan yesterday that showed everything is fine but I have had it again today and I can’t help but worry. Has anyone else experienced similar? This is my second pregnancy after a miscarriage in 2018.

FuzzyGoose · 01/04/2020 21:44

@KatieGlo It is a lot of junk emails but I signed up for loads previously and got loads of free stuff. Mostly travel size nappy creams, washing powder samples, baby wipe samples that kind of thing but I signed up for 'bounty' and I got a free full size pack of newborn nappies, stretch mark creams, vouchers etc. And sometimes they email you with good deals so might be worth it x

wannabebump · 01/04/2020 21:58

I read another MN thread tonight about MMC and I've scared myself rotten by googling it. And of course my sickness hasn't been wild today, just a couple of retches. So now I'm thinking the worst, I'm 8+4 today SadBlushConfused

futuredreams · 01/04/2020 22:04

Hey everyone. I'm new here but I thought I would ask! I'm just over 9 weeks and the hospital has had my GP referral for 2 and a half weeks now and I still haven't received a letter for my booking scan. My referral would have hit just as this corona kicked off. Anyone else still waiting for a letter? Or have your 12 week scans been cancelled? It's just my style for this to happen. After three miscarriages I'm hoping this 4th pregnancy is going to stick around and the added stress of not being able to be seen might just be the end of me. 😞😩
