I was going to suggest Cedars non alcoholic gin, it's really good.
Seeing as I cant find a non alcoholic wine that tastes decent when I get paid I'll get a bottle of cedars

ParisInTheSpringtime · 29/03/2020 18:38

Welcome @Cavemountain!

@KatieGlo I am having a very small glass of wine once a week Wink otherwise, Freixenet non alcoholic Prosecco is pretty good.

Cavemountain · 29/03/2020 18:48

Thanks @ParisinTheSpringtime
Also @KatieGlo Old Mout Cider has a non alcoholic berry cider which is just like the real thing...ice and lime for the sunshine!

MoreGinPlease2020 · 29/03/2020 18:56

I tried seedlip non alcoholic gin and thought it was vile, but I wonder if it's the tonic I'm hating as everyone keeps telling me it tastes like water. I'd kill for a gin or a glass of wine right now. 😩

HarrietM87 · 29/03/2020 19:07

That’s a shame - I loved Seedlip in my last pregnancy! Really don’t fancy anything remotely alcoholic at the moment which is handy.

mrsAndeke · 29/03/2020 19:15

I am being beaten by nausea at the moment mainly from the late afternoon to evenings, I've not been vomiting at all but constant feeling of sickness!

Hancock2020 · 29/03/2020 19:22

@MoreGinPlease2020 I would definitely try cedars, I drank it even before I was pregnant and it tastes exactly the same as normal gin

PinkPeaceLily · 29/03/2020 19:36

Hello! Can I join? Very first pregnancy, baby due 13th-15th ish of November. That makes me 7 and a bit weeks.

I’m having the most intense nausea and exhaustion. I can barely walk from my bedroom to the bathroom. I am having to eat constantly - my husband is being very helpful and making me any food I want. Weirdly, lockdown has been a huge blessing.

I am very slender, but have noticed horrible intense bloating - or more like it just feels like my tummy is filled with heavy liquid. So much so that if I lay on my side, it feels like all my organs shift and my belly moves down with gravity. It’s incredibly uncomfortable. Has anyone else got this? It’s such a horrible sloshing sensation of just everything moving.

This baby is so wanted and I can’t wait to meet him/her. I just wasn’t expecting to feel this rotten. My mum never had any kind of morning sickness... I’m keeping the pregnancy quiet until 12 weeks but am desperate to talk to other people going through the same things.

wannabebump · 29/03/2020 19:47

@Cavemountain welcome! Congrats! I'm 8+1 so almost the same Smile x

bluebell94 · 29/03/2020 19:51

Hi @PinkPeaceLily sorry you're feeling so rotten! I think I'm due same time as you, first pregnancy too SmileI'm also quite slim and have always had a relatively flat stomach but horrible bloating too, at certain times of day I swear I look 6 months gone! Seems worse on an evening. I'm also quite pleased with the timing of lockdown (selfishly!) because I have no energy at all. Hoping by the time I go back to work in a few weeks that'll have improved... x

Fredthespider · 29/03/2020 19:56

@scrumdiddly123 how weird!! Glad go know I'm not alone. Hoping the bleeding wasn't too sinister or anything to worry about.

MoreGinPlease2020 · 29/03/2020 19:57

Thanks @Hancock2020, I'll see if I can order some!

bluebell94 · 29/03/2020 19:58

Slightly random - does anyone's pet seem to know you're pregnant? 😂
I had read ages ago about how you smell different due to hormones etc. and they know something is different.
My dog has always been like my shadow anyway but this past 2 weeks he has been sooo clingy, the second I sit down he's straight on my knee for a cuddle and following me everywhere, think DH feels a bit left out 🤣

ACatCalledLola · 29/03/2020 20:00

@Pink15 thank you for the lolly tip. Why didn’t I think of making them? I’ve been craving them and bemoaning the fact that I can’t just pop to the shops to get them. Obviously I didn’t think of the obvious solution!

SqidgeBum · 29/03/2020 20:00

@PinkPeaceLily I am the exact same as you (except I am on baby #2). Its horrible. I look 5 months pregnant. I am huge. Its 90% bloat. I am knackered. I feel awful nearly all the time. However the exhaustion is now easing for me (I am 8+2).

It's ok to hate the feelings that come with being pregnant. Its miserable at times. Although, for me at least, I woke up one morning at about 14 weeks on DC1 and I was back to myself, just like that. It can ease, so just keep trundling on, and know it wont always be like this. Just do what you can do, eat what you can eat, sleep, drink water. It will be over at some point xx

SMcG1 · 29/03/2020 20:06

@bluebell94 yes! I’m sure my dog knew before I did. He was so clingy and it was making me worry there was something wrong with him but he’s absolutely fine. He was the same with my sister when she was pregnant too.

Natopp · 29/03/2020 20:08

@bluebell94 yes our two cats Milly & Daisy have been clinging to me ever since. They're usually really independent and like to avoid me at all costs. Now they're sitting on my lap, following me to the loo, kitchen, bed, everywhere. It's really sweet and comforting :) xx

Cavemountain · 29/03/2020 20:10

Thanks @wannabebump! Congratulations to you too!! 😊😊

Ranoutofgoodnames · 29/03/2020 20:11

Yesterday I moaned I was worried I had no morning sickness.

So of course today i have felt sick all day.

Can’t decide if I am imagining the feeling. Is that crazy? It seems like I want to eat constantly and only feel better when I am eating something really bland....

KatieGlo · 29/03/2020 20:11

My dog is waaaayyy too personal, he's started sniffing me down-there, haha!

ParisInTheSpringtime · 29/03/2020 20:17

@bluebell94 yes! My dog is being very clingy indeed. She never sits in the kitchen while I’m cooking but recently she’s been at my side all the time.

somegoodnewsforonce · 29/03/2020 20:27

My boobs hurt so much today SadI don't remember them hurting this much with DS

NoseringGirl · 29/03/2020 20:49

I've not seen him for a couple of weeks because of the whole virus situation but my Dad's dog started acting quite weird with me as soon as I was pregnant. He was getting all fussy around me and then running back and forth to my parents. I'm really missing him at the moment.
My cat couldn't care less 😂 she's been through all my pregnancies with me and is probably resigned to it all by now!

Ranoutofgoodnames · 29/03/2020 20:51

@somegoodnewsforonce this has been the worst symptom for me. I need to get new more supportive bras but not sure what size I need and would normally go to the shops to get fitted 🤔

PinkPeaceLily · 29/03/2020 21:23

Thank you for your reply! A little tear came to my eye - a mixture of relief that someone understands, combined with crazy hormones haha!

Oh bless you, sounds like such a tough time. I’m so looking forward to the day when I feel healthy - I hope it comes quickly for you!
