@Otterbaby hello! I've just joined and am trying to catch up on this thread! I didn't realise there was a main Oct one 😂 I also have very sore boobs and need to go and get measured! I'm due 4 days before you! Is this your first?
@Quiffy I just read about your meal...I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago...I'd go with option d...I've told more people than I wanted to as I've just found acting normal impossible! But I have found being preoccupied with company when I forced to lol does actually help my nausea a little?

SkyBlue20 · 06/03/2020 10:39

AMAZING @mssian93, I’m so happy for you 💕

Troubledmummy3 · 06/03/2020 10:41

@MsSian93 that's fab news!! Don't know if you saw the message I just posted but I think this is more common than we realise but it's frightening! I've hovered joining because on my dates I should be due on your due date but early scan gave me a due date of the 1st so I felt kind of between!

Quiffy · 06/03/2020 10:48

@MsSian93 That's wonderful news!! So happy for you

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2020 10:50

Amazing news @MsSian93!

MrsD1990 · 06/03/2020 10:51

Yay @MsSian93 so happy for you!!! What great news 😊 I had a similar experience at week 5 and the relief was amazing - hope you are feeling lots better now!!

otterbaby · 06/03/2020 11:00

So glad to hear it @MsSian93 !

@Troubledmummy3 hello! I was pregnant last year and delivered my little girl at 15 weeks in Oct due to a chromosomal issue ❤️ so it's not my 'first' but I'm hoping it's my first living child! They are both my October babies though! What about you?

Spark27 · 06/03/2020 11:06

Great news @MsSian93.

Hello to the new people. xx

Daisythesnail · 06/03/2020 11:24

@MsSian93 I’m so so happy for you!!! Yippeeeeeeeeeeeee

@Quiffy looking forward to hearing how your eve goes

Welcome new peeps :-)

I have a horrible feeling my sickness bug is turning into tonsillitis- sleepless night and temp of 38.8 and awful throat. No time actually feeling well in between :-(
Seems no point going to doc until white spots appear otherwise they’ll say it’s just viral. Hopefully it is.

Troubledmummy3 · 06/03/2020 11:40

@Quiffy exactly! I think it's a very legitimate excuse to duck out! I am struggling with eating so I actually found being able to choose something I fancied off a menu was nice although I couldn't eat much of it 😬 hope you have a nice time and enjoy telling your friends! 🙂
@otterbaby I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 my best friend went through similar at 15 weeks...but went on not long after to have a beautiful baby! In fact she's had 3 successful pregnancies in quick succession since! It's hard not to worry though...especially when we can't see or feel what's going on in there

Troubledmummy3 · 06/03/2020 11:44

@otterbaby sorry this is my 4th! 😳 but we are now over the shock and everyone is on board! Ive spent ages reading this thread! It's so reassuring to read how everyone else is feeling! This is definitely the hardest pregnancy so far and yesterday I was 15 minutes late picking my daughter up as I fell asleep! 😩

Treacle81 · 06/03/2020 11:58

Hi newbies 💁‍♀️ @Quiffy we are scan twins and feeling exact same, went to bed at half 7 last night as was exhausted and was up from 10pm with heartburn/indigestion all night! Peptac done nothing so had Rennies too. Now actually put off eating anything. I’m getting worse further I get! Just feeling really sorry for myself today and knackered as hardly slept!🤮xx

@MsSian93 that is so good to hear! Put your feet up and relax.

CouscousEvaporator · 06/03/2020 13:11

Good to hear that @MsSian93 hope you’re resting up

SkyBlue20 · 06/03/2020 14:27

@Quiffy How are you feeling? Have you decided definitively what to do about tonight? If you’re feeling too rotten you could cancel but then FaceTime them when they’re all together to tell them?

Welcome, @Troubledmummy3 and @otterbaby!

I’m meeting friends tonight (one of whom knows, many of which I really wish I could tell but won’t until the scan) and tbh I really can’t be bothered! Going to make it short and sweet and then head home to bed - I’m tired, can’t drink and am sick of lying to people all the time! Such a misery guts 🙈😂

Quiffy · 06/03/2020 14:37

@Treacle81 Have you managed to eat anything? It definitely helps eating little and often. Although I'm worried I'm going to be the size of a house.

@skyblue20 I think I'm still going, not been sick today so that's good. I've been looking at the menu over and over again to see what to eat - it's a lot of steak (I'm a rare kind of gal), stuff with spices and the plainish chicken dish has a lager sauce (bloody scotland) so think I'll need to risk fish and chips waaah. Hope your night goes okay, it's the thought of getting all dressed up and socialising isnt it haha. I just want to watch Buffy in bed.

Zaalfruit · 06/03/2020 15:26

@MsSian93 omg that’s great news!!

@Quiffy best of luck for today - I found grazing on unsalted nuts and dried fruits makes me feel a little better . If I’m grazing I’m alright - someone at work is having a fish and chip sandwich it’s making me feel queasy

Countdown to the weekend !!!

Daisythesnail · 06/03/2020 15:40

Random thoughts...

I wonder if anyone chatting on one of these forums has realised they actually know each other in real life.

Has anyone gone into maternity jeans/trousers yet? I bought some normal stretchy jeans one size up but now they’re the only thing that are comfortable and they don’t wash and dry in one night. I didn’t want to go into maternity jeans until after my scan. Also I remember this being an awkward stage last time, normal trousers too tight but maternity jeans fall down.

Daisy xx

LostinAusten2 · 06/03/2020 16:48

@MsSian93 - so happy and relieved for you!

And just to say best wishes to everyone with social events over the weekend - agree with @Quiffy that watching Buffy feels about all I can manage - this is like having a month long hangover without even having the gin festival to justify it! 😄

KelMcC · 06/03/2020 17:30

Finally a day I feel good! Had my first midwife appointment today, very exciting! Everything is low risk so hoping for a smooth pregnancy from here on 😊
For those wondering about aspirin, confirmed with the midwife and apparently you have to have flagged a couple of risks before you are advised to take. To do with no of pregnancies, family history, BMI etc.

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2020 17:44

Watching Buffy in bed sounds amazing 😍
We rewatched them all recently.

I feel rubbish every evening and it's getting to me. Nauseous, cold, tired, drained and I've had a cold for 2 weeks so that gets worse of an evening too 😩
Im so happy to be pregnant so I should shut up but its draining.

LostinAusten2 · 06/03/2020 17:59

@Treaclepie19 - sending you a hug, I feel just the same way. Very happy to be pregnant, but not enjoying feeling so ill all the flaming time, they don’t mention this in the movies! Fingers crossed week 9’s the turning point 🤞 (and congrats @KelMcC)

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2020 18:07

Thank you @LostinAusten2. Its rough isn't it? I don't remember it being like this other pregnancies but I guess you forget.
I'm 9+5 now. I'm telling myself it'll ease off soon...

MsSian93 · 06/03/2020 18:11

Thanks again for all your lovely comments! I can't wait to have a nice quiet weekend and relax.

Hope everyone starts to feel better soon!

@Troubledmummy3 I definitely am going to do a bit of research into dopplers but think i might wait a bit before i scare myself even more haha Smile

LexiM · 06/03/2020 19:49

Just trying to catch up! @MsSian93 I am so pleased for you.

I feel like I do nothing but work and sleep. Last weekend I did too much and have suffered this week because of it. Tomorrow I’m meant to be going out with friends in the evening and they are all talking about getting drunk etc. so think I’m going to stay at home! Sunday we are going to visit my Dad and tell him I’m pregnant. I’m sure he will be delighted. He’s got a brain tumour so gets so emotional about family.
