@blankiesandunicorns I had mine on Wednesday and my husband wasn't allowed to come either. I almost cried on the way there if I'm honest but I just focused on getting there safely (I live in London so had to get public transport there so was very worried about CV)

Once I was there I was so focused on asking questions and making sure baby was ok I didn't have time to be sad. Husband was sad he couldn't be there but was super happy to see the scans and that everything was ok.

Hope you are okay ♥️ there were loads of pregnant women at the hospital and we were all alone because of the new rules - which made me feel less alone if that makes sense.

LexiM · 27/03/2020 19:49

@Treacle81 I haven’t had a call yet for Tuesday either, I only know because I saw it on Facebook. I hope it is different for you.

@MrsD1990 yes I know what you mean, I feel that way. It’s disappointing but everyone is in the same boat!

Lucylou37 · 27/03/2020 19:57

@lexiM not sure if this is any help, but I got a call the day before! But maybe depends where you live! I live in London, so hospitals are very overwhelmed! The poor lady lady my blood nearly cried on me, when I asked her how things were! Good luck with scan, things are now finally starting to feel really after mine!

blankiesandunicorns · 27/03/2020 20:12

Thank you everyone for your responses. I got a call today and mine is Monday.
I had already seen it on Facebook though which was upsetting. I'm really nervous at scans as had previous problems (I know it's a nerve wracking time for everyone though) and could've done with my husband there for me. But there's nothing we can do and hopefully all will be ok.
Good luck to everyone who has scans coming up 🍀

blankiesandunicorns · 27/03/2020 20:15

@Buzz22 hopefully things are ok now but I had some bleeding a few weeks back (9.2 weeks), they scanned me and baby was fine and didn't know the cause for it. Iv been fine since, but have had a mc before so my anxiety is sky high!

Buzz22 · 27/03/2020 20:46

@blankiesandunicorns sorry to hear that. I also had some bleeding a few weeks ago. I had a scan and no reason was found for me either.
I understand how stressful it is for everyone. Pregnancy isn't easy and brings out anxieties that you didn't know you had.
We lost our first baby at 22 weeks in November so the scan paranoia is real over here too!
I feel bad partner cant come but like other people have said everyone in the waiting room is the same situation. We had our bad news in the same building at 20 week scan last time so I was mega nervous. DP although very disappointed he cant be with me had been so reassuring. I'm taking the advice of other ladies here and he'll be waiting outside as soon as I'm done.
It tough but we all know it's for the greater good so to speak. And everyone here will be giving you a virtual hand hold on Monday too xx

blankiesandunicorns · 27/03/2020 21:06

@Buzz22 thank you for that, there is no other way and hopefully it will be reassuring.
You must have been so worried too, that must have been awful to go through.

I was sure that was it when I bled, sometimes I can't believe Iv made it this far. But nearly 13 weeks now and scan just around the corner 🤞

Glitterbug86 · 27/03/2020 21:25

We are pretty much going into lockdown here (Ireland) from midnight, so I'm guessing my private scan, which is meant to be at 2pm tomorrow, will be cancelled. This after my 12 week scan was cancelled 2 hours before it was meant to take place on Tuesday. Feel like I can't catch a break! 😫

blankiesandunicorns · 27/03/2020 21:34

@Glitterbug86 ohhh no I'm so sorry. What happens with your scan then? I can't believe they can do that. Hope you're ok

Indigogirl88 · 28/03/2020 07:52

@Glitterbug86 oh no what a nightmare, I hope it still goes ahead, keep us posted Flowers

What's everyones plans this weekend (that wasnt meant to be a joke) I've decided to clean the house as I just feel I cant relax with it being messy and dirty which it isn't too bad, but you know! I also need to locate some toilet roll, wish me luck!

CouscousEvaporator · 28/03/2020 08:09

Oh no @Glitterbug86 I really hope it does go ahead for you x

Had my scan Thursday, we have a wriggler! Everything was fine so we are telling friends this weekend 👶🏻🙂 was absolutely amazing seeing it. I was allowed free pictures too!

CouscousEvaporator · 28/03/2020 08:12

@Indigogirl88 I am also cleaning this weekend, deep scrub cleaning! Going to clean out all cupboards and organise the stuff in the nursery so it’s easily moved out 🙂 also going to start looking for baby things to buy, like bottles, steriliser kits, sleepsuits and toys. I plan to EBF but I want to pump so Dh can feed too.

Good luck in the toilet roll hunt 😆

MrsD1990 · 28/03/2020 08:20

@glitterbug86 sorry to hear it might be cancelled! Hopefully they will allow you to go because it is a medical appointment and surely the reason for lockdown is to protect health so this is an obvious exception... I have my fingers crossed for you, hope you get to go!!

@Indigogirl88 excellent question, I have no idea! Trying to figure out a way to distinguish my weekends from the work week. One way is by lazing in bed (although I've been awake since 6.30...) and I'll try to work up a nice breakfast with the limited food we have in (haven't had bread in days and none arriving until Wednesday sadly). Also, we started telling close friends our news last week so this weekend we're planning to make it widely known and put it up on social media for everyone to see. I've been desperate to tell everyone since we got the positive test so really excited for this 😊

NWnature · 28/03/2020 08:20

@Indigogirl88 @couscousevaporator I’m also planning on cleaning (ugh).

Off topic but does anyone know how to get an online delivery at the moment? It seems impossible. I always use Ocado but everytime
I virtual queue for hours and get into the website there are no slots for delivery. Starting to worry a bit!

Quiffy · 28/03/2020 08:22

@Glitterbug86 really hope you can get your scan today

Treaclepie19 · 28/03/2020 08:38

@NWnature I checked all the different shops. Managed to get a click and collect with Asda.

Zaalfruit · 28/03/2020 08:53

@Glitterbug86 hope you get your scan today xx

@Quiffy I have noticed local corner shops have the essentials- I got loo roll yesterday and bread . Our food shopping with Tesco just got cancelled it was so annoying . @Treaclepie19 omg get in you got a click and collect slot !!

This weekends going to be so boring for the last 8 weeks I been feeling crappy and now we are in lock down and we can’t even do anything , normally going shopping or walking around the shops just makes me feel better .

Quiffy · 28/03/2020 09:11

@zaalfruit That is a nightmare, did they tell you why? DH is away to a Spar now, so we'll see what that brings!

@NWnature I have another 3 weeks of Tesco ones booked, I think they might put them up at midnight each night. Morrisons are also putting up food boxes every few days. I think Ocado is pretty hard to get now. A few of our local independent shops are delivering fruit and veg, also put in an order with a dairy for weekly deliveries to see how that goes. so might be some local to you?

@MrsD1990 getting the social media post up is super exciting - cant wait for that!

Spark27 · 28/03/2020 09:11

We've got tescos slots booked for the next 2 weeks (started doing delivery after I had DD as could not be bothered carting newborn around) but after that i cant get anything.

@CoucousEvaporator, it's good to have a back up option on the feeding. I wanted to breast feed but DD went into SCBU for a few days and we never managed to get the latch. Although the staff really tried to help up. I ended up Express BF for 4 months which was time consuming, but meant DH could help at night. I produced soooooo much milk it was ridiculous. Could store some in the freezer bags, which helped when transitioning to formula. The microwave steriliser bags are really useful too.

We are planning on painting the guest bedroom today so we can get it ready for DD to move into it. Got her new furniture waiting to go up. Decided to spend the money we are saving on nursery fees. Was going to sent her to my mums while we did it, so not sure how we'll cope now with her home with us and running around our feet and trying to 'help' Gin

NWnature · 28/03/2020 09:12

@Treaclepie19 amazing ! Maybe I just have to keep it up. I wonder is supply is dwindling or it’s still people hoarding. Lock down is awful let alone with crap food Sad

Treaclepie19 · 28/03/2020 09:34

Hopefully you will get one soon!
It panicked me not being able to find one too. Its horrid.
We've been living off freezer food and tins.
I almost cried the other day because we had no quorn nuggets and I couldn't order any 😂

NWnature · 28/03/2020 09:36

@Quiffy thank you! Hopefully they are still taking new customers will give both Tesco and Morrison a whirl. We are in London and usually eat out loads or buy whatever on my way home from work eeeek! We have a co op downstairs which is usually great but stripped bare at the moment. Going to try M&S later - well I will stay in the car and live vicariously through husband Grin

NWnature · 28/03/2020 09:37

@Treaclepie19 girl after my own heart re quorn nuggets! We are mostly vegan and I have found silver lining is often that stuff is last to go ha ha! However I have been concerned about (very non vegan) shortage of mini eggs.

Zaalfruit · 28/03/2020 10:09

Tesco gave no explanation - trying to contact customer services which proving hard. So over it 😂🤣

All I fancy is Victoria sponge cake the craving is real. Was upset that my order was cancelled because I can’t eat my cake Lol 😂

@NWnature omg mini eggs are sooo yummy ! Our co op is the same - shelves are bare apart from cereals as they are limiting it to 1 per customer I’m running dangerously low on crisps as well. I feel bad for my husband as my diet now consists of bread and crisps everything just give me bad reflux which ends in being sick . Anyone else gone off protein and vegetables ?

My aim for today is to eat some vegetables 🌽

Quiffy · 28/03/2020 10:49

@Zaalfruit I am with you on cake. I had to get the Mr Kipling individuals to try and curb my cake eating... Really annoying on Tesco and it will be pretty impossible to get through to them :(

@Treaclepie19 I'm not vegan but heard so many people saying the Quorn nuggets are amazing!

@NWnature M&S is a good shout, I've seen a few locals here posting it's been pretty well stocked (but I live seaside Scotland so not quite London ha!)

DH arrived at Spar just as bread was delivered. He managed to get bread, butter, eggs and soap! It's my birthday on Monday so he's going to make me a cake since I can't see family
