Forgot to say @Zaalfruit glad you got everything sorted and hope the scan was all positive!

Sorry find it hard to keep up sometimes 🤣

Zaalfruit · 25/03/2020 18:32

Okay so I epically failed to upload the picture . Please let me know if it attached ! I think I’m having a girl because of all my spots and hormonal rage moments 😂🤣

Thank you to everyone.

Anyone who shops at asos if you have the app there is a 20percent discount code : APPMARCH I think it ends 27th March at 8am

Treacle81 · 25/03/2020 18:38

Hi girls! I am also spotty with greasy hair. Just hoping we emerge from this with luscious locks, glowing skin and cute 6 month bumps! 🤣. I sent my 9wk scan to nub techs so you could do that if you fancied. Cost me £8 lol but I was bored! I was told girl at that point. Beautiful scans girls - I’d reckon two little baby girls ❤️xx

Haha, @Treacle81, I sent mine today too. Thought why not as I'm not paying the £60 for a gender scan now. I'm thinking girl on mine too, but will see. Obvs I know it could be wrong, but just thought it's a bit of light hearted fun at the mo x

CharlieBalf · 25/03/2020 19:42

Congratulations @Zaalfruit ! And congratulations @bluemoon2468 ! Great pics!
I had my scan today, measuring 12w 1d little naughty was wriggling about so the pic is pretty bad and it took over half an hour to get measurements 😂
Quick question; my NT was 1.8mm is that high? Should I be worried?
Any gender predictions?!

bluemoon2468 · 25/03/2020 19:46

@CharlieBalf congratulations! No, that's nice and low. Google suggests that over 6mm is concerning. Mine was 1.6mm and I was told that's very low and reassuring.

@LexiM not sure the full impact it will have on my maternity pay. Shouldn't impact on my eligibility for SMP because I'll still be employed, but may affect how much they consider my full pay to be, depending on how long it goes on for 😔 need to ask my employer.

bluemoon2468 · 25/03/2020 19:50

@CharlieBalf a quick re-Google says anything below about 3mm is normal depending on size of baby. Anything above 3.5mm increases risks of genetic and structural abnormalities.

CharlieBalf · 25/03/2020 19:55

@bluemoon2468 thanks so much for the reassurance- I know everything's prob ok but we'll it's just easier to worry than to believe it's all ok. I'll be all happy for two days until the next drama😂 Also came off all the ivf meds today at the request if my consultant so obvs going to panic about that too.

LostinAusten2 · 25/03/2020 20:02

@bluemoon2468 @Zaalfruit @charliebalf - congrats on the scans, they all look beautiful 🥰 I’ve still two weeks to wait for mine, so hard trying to be patient!

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 20:08

@CharlieBalf yeah above 3.5 is a worry. Believe me you'd know if there was an obvious problem.
Our baby had a nuchal of 5.3mm.

CharlieBalf · 25/03/2020 20:22

@treaclepie19 - do you mind me asking how that worked out?

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 20:39

@CharlieBalf of course not. He was very poorly with a really rare chromosomal issue. So I had a termination for medical reasons at 22+4.

CharlieBalf · 25/03/2020 20:45

@treaclepie19 that must have been devastating. A very hard decision to make. I really hope things work out in the future x

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 20:48

@CharlieBalf it was the hardest thing we've ever had to do. Thank you, I'm hoping this little one will be healthy and able to survive.
Hoping so much I'm not going to miss my scan as well as I need that nuchal measurement.

bluemoon2468 · 25/03/2020 20:54

@Treaclepie19 so sorry to hear about your previous pregnancy, that must have been so tough. I'm sure they won't cancel your scan - it's essential, particularly given your history.

Buzz22 · 25/03/2020 20:57

Congrats ladies on your lovely scans.

I'm feeling terrible as I checked hospital website again and they have updated it today to say no partners at antenatal or scan.
I just dont think I can cope going by myself. Maybe I'm being over dramatic. I get why he cant come.
Today is my due date for our last baby. I cant stop crying. I cant stop imagining being given bad news at a scan again. By myself.
I've got myself in a total state this evening. I dont want to go to my consultant appointment or scan without my partner even though I understand why. Its shit and I feel like I just want to disappear today.

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 21:04

@bluemoon2468 thank you ❤
I'm just worried because I've got a cold and I'm nervous it'll worsen and I won't be able to go. Theres no fever or persistant cough. Just runny nose, headache and bit of a sore throat.

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 21:05

@Buzz22 I'm so sorry lovely. You can do this, think of what you've already been through and you have all of us cheering you on in your phone ❤
Thinking of you xxx

CharlieBalf · 25/03/2020 21:13

@Buzz22 I know it feels really unfair and scary. I had mine today and all the other ladies were by themselves, we were all in the same position and actually bthat helped a little. Tell the sonographer you're nervous, they'll take care of you.

SkyBlue20 · 25/03/2020 21:41

@charliebalf Congrats! From what I read if the NT is under 3.5, that’s low ☺️

Sending love to you, @Treaclepie19, that must have been so tough 💕

@Buzz22 sending so much love. Can your husband wait outside so he’s there ASAP after the scan? I’m sure everything will be absolutely fine though but nice to know he’s there the minute you can get out.

When is everyone telling their friends? We were planning tomorrow after the scan if all is ok but if we have to wait for screening results then guess we should wait 🤷🏻‍♀️

NWnature · 25/03/2020 22:18

Congrats on the scans ladies ! Delighted for you all!

@Buzz22 totally understandable why you are upset. Take it easy on yourself, everyone will be thinking of you and your partner will be right outside. Sending some many good vibes Star

Treaclepie19 · 25/03/2020 22:34

Thank you @SkyBlue20

Ugh. 12 weeks 3 days today and after weeks of feeling nauseous but no sick, I've finally been sick. Think it was the mix of paracetamol on barely any dinner and the mucus from my cold.

Zaalfruit · 26/03/2020 02:30

@Treaclepie19 ooh hope you are alright xx sometimes being sick makes you feel better! It must have been so hard :( and thinking of you and sending you lots of good positive vibes and wishes .

I am feeling really unwell - itchy throat and a headache after the flu jab today, unable to sleep but seems nothing in compared to how you are feeling x

Sending lots of love and care Also worth a shot to call the hospital maybe I called my hospital up ahead to see if I could take my husband they said no and then at reception I asked again and explained how scared I was and on a case by case they were accepting I told them- husband will have mask and gloves on .

Treaclepie19 · 26/03/2020 06:45

Thanks @Zaalfruit Smile
I managed to sleep okay so that's something!
Hoping for no more sick today because I've got my 4yo to look after. Also hoping this cold goes away!

I hope you're feeling better soon too Flowers
