Hi girls, hope I’ve started new thread correctly 😕

Looks like I have to go on my own to the scan, our hospital have updated the info on their website to say please attend antenatal appointments alone if possible. Scan is Thursday so I expect I’ll get a phone call tomorrow. I understand it but frustrating we missed it by two days.

@bluemoon2468 I’m glad your work situation is sorted, must have been super stressful at first. What time is your scan tomorrow? Mine’s 11am. My tiredness is still going very strong and my nausea has come back this evening 😫 Am in bed at the moment watching tv, I feel like I’ve regressed weeks! I feel your pain @MrsD1990, I’ve even gone off cheese!!

@SkyBlue20 all good, thanks for asking 🙂 NT was nice and low which was reassuring as that was the first indicator of why we lost our little girl last time. Definitely a relief!

I did ask about a 16 week scan and was told they're definitely not doing those at the minute!

@bluemoon2468 glad everything has improved with your job compared to what you thought, that must have been so stressful. I am still feeling some anxiety over mine for the future and trying to worry less right now. I hope the scan goes well tomorrow for you, so exciting. I was feeling calm about waiting for the scan but now mines a week today I’m counting down the days!

@MrsD1990 sorry you are feeling so rubbish, it’s so horrible isn’t it, especially when mentally you hope it’s going away soon as the week 12 target and it doesn’t seem to be. I also have a headache from this afternoon, I’m trying to be good at taking proper breaks away from the screen but I do get distracted or someone calls and I have to go back to it.

@CharlieBalf sorry to hear about your partner not being able to come in with you for the scan. It really is so hard for Dad’s especially when it’s one of the main ways they can get involved at this stage.

@Treacle81 glad your partner will be moving in. I don’t see how they can stop it, what if you had nowhere to live and had to move?!

@MrsD1990, mine was a private gender scan, so not a necessity and nowhere near as bad as then cancelling 12w scans. Frustrating, but understandable x

@SkyBlue20 @LexiM my scan's at 12pm. Was feeling absolutely fine about it until the last few days and now I can't shake the feeling there will be something wrong. I felt the same about my private one at 10 weeks though and everything was fine. I think I won't be fully convinced there's a healthy baby in there until I'm feeling it kick every few hours, that'll be so reassuring.

And yeah, now that I know my 80% pay is secure I'm so much calmer. I was so stressed when I thought I was going to get no pay indefinitely that I was genuinely terrified it was going to trigger a miscarriage - the night I was told and was really upset and crying and stuff I started getting really bad stomach cramps, it was so horrible.

Thank you for all the tips about maternity wear !! As the day progresses my chests seems to spill out of my bra - tried to wear my sports bra felt like it suffocated me

• since it’s just me and husband I went braless but felt so unsupportive and then got scared about saggy boobies 🤣😂 so ended wearing a bra.

It’s my scan again today , feeling really anxious again - it’s at 2!!

@bluemoon2468 I feel the same as you when it comes to scan days - until I can feel flutters in me I won’t stay calm . I am so glad that your pay is secured. X

Got a call from the hospital Saying no visitors allowed :( but I’m scared and I want my husband with me.

@Zaalfruit good luck with the scan today. Sorry you have to go in alone, but can your partner be outside in the car? Try not to focus on the sadness of them not being in there, but the excitement of seeing you're little baby again.

My boobs dont really seem to do anything in pregnancy. Never had tingly boobs as a symptom, or growing boobs in pregnancy. Been able to wear my normal bras all the way through. Have to swap to maternity/soft cup/feeding bras afterwards when the milk comes in and they then look like right said fred. Just remembering the pain from last time when I stopped breast feeding. Thought they'd explode before the milk went.

My skin is AWFUL this time round. I'm pretty sure last time I had the pregnancy glow, shiny hair, strong nails, etc. This time i look awful. Small spots constantly. Maybe it's a good thing we're stuck in the house! Hoping tri 2 will get better, but seeing as I'm living in my loungewear I cant see me entering a glamorous phase!xx

Mines tomorrow I havent had a call yet though wont speak to soon, might just arrive together and they could refuse him in

@otterbaby It is pretty funny, I pointed out to him at least I didn't vom on the rug... He's away into his man office and we've all been warned to keep our breakfasts down hehe.

@bluemoon2468 Sounds so stressful, so glad it's all sorted now. I'm the same about the scan - I've been pretty chilled about it but as it gets closer I'm getting more and more nervous, I'm just convinced I'm going to have had a missed miscarriage. I have absolutely no reason to think that but it's just a worry of mine.

@Zaalfruit good luck with the scan today! I've just had the phone call saying I have to go on my own, too, so completely sympathise - I feel ok about it right now but I know it'll make me extra nervous tomorrow. Going to see if they'll let me FaceTime him and he's driving me there anyway and will wait in the carpark.
In terms of skin, I have these huge, awful red patches around my mouth that I've had since the very beginning and they are just not budging. I was getting a really spotty forehead but haven't worn makeup for the last week whilst WFH and that seems to have helped. Noticed I'm getting a pimply back/shoulders as well though and I'm losing loads of hair whenever I wash it! Where's this so-called pregnancy glow?! 😂 My nails are growing faster and stronger but I keep biting them back down 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh @quiffy! Shouldn't laugh but the thought of your cat vomiting in solidarity made me chuckle. Our cat threw up on my pillow this morning, luckily I was doing my workout in the next room and husband was still in bed so he had to deal with it 🙊

What is it with spotty shoulders and arms? I love a good pick at them as well so it’s taking a lot of restraint 😆

Like you guys my nails are strong! My hair is also mega thick at the moment. I was due a cut, but what’s another 12 weeks.... 😩

@SkyBlue20 Pillow is brutal. Cats really give absolutely no fecks hehe.

@Quiffy hope today is better for you, I had to laugh too. Just read that to my husband and he said yes I don’t mind you providing you still use the loo for morning sickness 🤣 I will try!

My skin is better on my face but I’ve got spots on my back which is weird. Skin is also generally quite dry especially my lips. I haven’t really noticed any change for my hair, nails etc. Mine will be so long by the time I can get a haircut as my last appointment was cancelled. I said to my Mum the other day it’s weird by the time we might be able to see family/friends again I could have a reasonable bump by then!

@SkyBlue20 same for tomorrow just had a call telling me about my partner. I am also having irrational thoughts about a mmc as well but I have to accept that I cant do anything about it. I'm still getting symptoms, though easing slightly apart from boob pain and tiredness, 12 weeks on Monday (unless they change that tomorrow). What time is your scan?

@LexiM I said that to my mum as well about the bump, I'm already looking podgy though!
