Yay, happy 12w @Treacle81 x

LexiM · 23/03/2020 06:34

Happy 12 weeks @Treacle81 😄

I’ve been awake for hours too, still feeling rubbish. I kept my husband awake too, moving around too much and then just as we got back to sleep the cat joined in!! My Husband has decided to brave the supermarket now as we are starting to run low after a week in.

SkyBlue20 · 23/03/2020 06:44

Happy 12 weeks @Treacle81! 🥳

@CouscousEvaporator Glad all is ok ☺️

@Zaalfruit Yep, everyone is being urged to carry on with social distancing and tbh I don’t think it’ll be long until we’re in full blown lockdown anyways...

@Spark27 Big hugs! You have a lot going on and it’s hard enough being pregnant without all of this extra stress. Send hubby out for your McDs breakfast this morning (or Deliveroo one) for your last hit! Sounds like a good idea re: your DD too.

Morning all! Another 6:30 wake up for me - I don’t mind too much during the week though as want to be up by 7 anyway. I went to bed super early last night too so am not feeling too bad this morning...yet 🙈

Buzz22 · 23/03/2020 07:36

Happy 12 weeks @Treacle81! (I too had a TFMR in November at 22 weeks so I can imagine how amazing it is to hit the first big milestone!)

@Spark27 I'm sad about McDonalds too! We actually had one delivered on Saturday so I'm glad I'm managed to get one last fix of fries!

@CouscousEvaporator I'm glad everything is ok. Sending love

@LexiM and sky blue (wont let me @ you for some reason?) I have been awake since 6.30. Seems to be my new routine. I haven't been sleeping well due to shoulder pain so once I'm awake in the morning that's it!

Hows everyones sickness? Hopefully improving. I'm still awfully hormonal!
But here's and article that may brighten your mornings a bit. Fingers crossed this man is correct!

Treaclepie19 · 23/03/2020 07:39

It was me with the TFMR @Buzz22. So sorry for your loss, how are you doing?
My biggest fear right now is having to miss my dating scan and nuchal measurement and having to go straight to an amnio.

Happy 12 weeks @Treacle81 :) I was 12 weeks yesterday, feels like such a milestone.

Buzz22 · 23/03/2020 07:55

@Treaclepie19 oh I'm sorry my mistake! But happy 12 weeks to you both! I'm surprisingly ok at the moment but it is my due date on weds. I'm not looking forward to that.
Partner is very worried but things do appear to be going slightly smoother so far this time with the exception of my earlier bleed. We had our bad news at our 20 week scan and were sent to kings college hospital fetal medicine centre where they confirmed everything. So I think I'll actually believe I'm having a baby after the 20 week scan. I can only imagine what a state I'll be as that comes round.
Are you considered high risk this pregnancy? We our having our second antenatal with the consultant next week. The first was strange as he also went through our post mortem results. We didn't expect to find ourselves pregnant again so quickly after our loss. Although I'm sure that has helped my grief greatly. I obviously mourn the son that we lost but being pregnant again certainly gives me comfort.
Do you have a date for your 12 week scan?

SkyBlue20 · 23/03/2020 08:12

That article is encouraging, @Buzz22 - let's hope he's right!

Sorry to hear about your previous losses @Buzz22 and @Treaclepie19 - I can only imagine how hard it must be. Hope Wednesday goes as well as it can, Buzz 💕

For those who wanted the yoga links, here they are:

Think this is my favourite so far:

I haven't tried this one but can find the previous one a bit long sometimes so this could be a good alternative:

I did the morning routine from this today and it was quite easy but really calming and a nice way to start the day - I'll definitely try more of her videos:

Treaclepie19 · 23/03/2020 08:22

@Buzz22 I should probably change my username because it does get confusing Haha.
I hope all is well for you this time. It was our 12 week scan we got bad news at. My scan this time is 1st april when I'll be 13+3.
I am high risk and under the consultant until at least 20 weeks.
We lost our little boy in Dec 18 so I've had a long time to try and find a new normal before being pregnant again. It's still all very strange.

Buzz22 · 23/03/2020 08:51

@Treaclepie19 I'm so sorry. I understand the new normal. I guess you hear about these things and never expect them to happen to you.
Our consultant is fantastic but in reality all the can do is watch. I had very early PPROM they think at 16-18 weeks ( it sounds crazy not knowing that your waters have broken but I was bleeding constantly from week 16 so the fluid was coming out with blood in a slow leak.) I was diagnosed with oligohydroaminos (low amniotic fluid) at a scan at 19ish weeks. By the time we had our 20 week scan the diagnosis was anhyroamnios (no amniotic fluid.) I delivered my baby at 22 weeks after they decided the risk of potentially life threatening infection to me was too great. They told us our baby wouldnt have properly developed lungs and couldn't be ventilated due to the lack of fluid and time of rupture. Post mortem of placenta confirmed I did have an infection and baby boy had underdeveloped lungs for gestation and pneumonia as well as limb deformities due to lack of space to move. This time I'm high risk for premature birth again. I've sort of accepted there is nothing I can do that will change the outcome. It is what it is. Hopefully I can keep this baby in for as long as possible.
I'm admittedly having down days resigning myself to the fact that if I do make it to viability I could still have a very premature baby.
My 12 week scan is the day before yours. I'll be 12 +3. I'm going to have my fingers crossed for you and everyone on this thread. All of the healthy baby vibes being sent everyone's way!!!!!

otterbaby · 23/03/2020 08:54

@Treacle81 happy 12 weeks, I'm 12 weeks today too 😊❤️ I have my scan tomorrow (which is where we had bad news last time and had our subsequent TFMR at 16 weeks) so keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for tomorrow! Do you have a date for your scan?

Buzz22 · 23/03/2020 09:09

@otterbaby best of luck for your scan tomorrow. I'm sorry for your loss. There seems to be a few of us on this thread in the TFMR club.
How are scans continuing at your hospital? I see a few people on here have to attend on there own given the current circumstances which is hard.

CouscousEvaporator · 23/03/2020 09:12

Thanks for the support girls. Still spotting but not a lot.
@Zaalfruit I’m actually measuring 12+4 even though that is impossible, think baby is just tall like me and DH.

Good luck for your scan @otterbaby and happy 12 weeks to those of you who are today ❤️

CouscousEvaporator · 23/03/2020 09:13

@Buzz22 I had to attend my scan alone and will be attending my dating one alone too :( needs must

Buzz22 · 23/03/2020 09:22

@CouscousEvaporator when is your dating scan? My midwife told me last week that in our area partner is currently able to attend scan but not sure if that will change.
If it helps, I bled on and off throughout my last pregnancy. Although I did not have a happy outcome it wasnt due to the bleeding.
They never found a cause for mine. I had a bleed the other day and an early scan, which again they found no reason for. I think I'm just one of those people that do. My aunt also bled throughout one of her pregnancies with no problems.
I'm not sure how much you bled but if it has eased off to spotting that's a great sign. And the fact you have had a successful scan is very positive news.

Treaclepie19 · 23/03/2020 09:26

I'm so sorry @Buzz22 Flowers
What a heartbreaking time you've been through.
I hope all is well for you at your scan and that can help take a little of the worry away.

Quiffy · 23/03/2020 09:49

@CouscousEvaporator so glad everything is okay

CouscousEvaporator · 23/03/2020 10:07

@Buzz22 thank you for your lovely message ❤️
I was very reassured by the wriggly baby I saw!

The nurse thinks it was due to cervical ectropion which I’ve had previously.

She told me at the scan that no visitors we’re allowed at all for any scan at the moment. It might be worth calling before you go as I would have assumed I could bring DH (in fact I was told I could). If i hadn’t gone in I still wouldn’t know. :(

otterbaby · 23/03/2020 10:09

@Buzz22 I rang this morning to confirm and they've said I can bring one person along as long as nobody in my household is sick...feeling really lucky as it sounds like many hospitals have already stopped that. I read this morning that some hospitals in New York are not allowing anyone else at all into the birthing suites which is so awful!

CharlieBalf · 23/03/2020 10:49

Hi all, 12 weeks today 😊 Never thought we'd get to this point, it's been six years and three miscarriages and a lot of tears and but finally. Scan on Wednesday, fingers crossed all will be on track; we had a scan last week at 11 weeks and saw the little jellybean jumping about!
@otterbaby happy 12 weeks! Good luck for the scan x

Treaclepie19 · 23/03/2020 11:15

@otterbaby I'm worried about that. If things carry on until then I'm not sure what will happen.
I guess I'll be birthing alone even if it's still social distancing because we won't have anyone to have our 4yo.

Treacle81 · 23/03/2020 11:54

Thanks everyone! Happy 12 wks girls and belated congrats @Treaclepie19 it’s so exciting next stage being scans! Not had a call from hospital, mine is 31st but assuming it’ll just be me going. I sneezed earlier and it was so painful 😥. I can’t begin to imagine what some of you have been through and just hope from here on in we are all good ❤️

Indigogirl88 · 23/03/2020 13:34

Hi ladies congrats to you 3 who have made it to 12 weeks! I'm at 11 and my scan is Thursday. Sickness is not easing yet Sad fingers crossed it does next week.

Thanks for the yoga recommendations @SkyBlue20 as soon as I start feeling better I want to get back into yoga.

Treacle81 · 23/03/2020 14:55

Latest RCOG update. Think we’ll be getting calls to go back to work? 🤷‍♀️More detailed advice for pregnant women, including those who cannot work from home was published on 21 March 2020. It recommends that if you are in your first or second trimester (less than 28 weeks pregnant), with no underlying health conditions, you should practise social distancing but can continue to work in a public-facing role, provided the necessary precautions are taken.

Spark27 · 23/03/2020 15:58

My work is pushing for as many people to work from home as possible. I think given the lack of childcare, and the fact I'm only part time, I'll probably get left at home. Dont get me wrong, I'd love to go back, but I think they'll decide it's not worth it.

Just had a call from hubby to say hes going to be late tonight. I know hes smashed at work but FFS! I'd have thought given that I had a massive cry last night he'd be trying to be on time (i know, I'm a hormonal c*w)x

BntTowers · 23/03/2020 16:34

I've been really struggling to WFH today, just unreal level of tiredness. I've got my over the phone booking in appointment tomorrow so that will break the day up a bit.
@Spark27 have a little cry of you need it. It's so frustrating when they say that. Atm my DH is WFH as well but doesn't tend to turn his laptop off until 8.30-9ish. it drives me insane and I've suggested a curfew. If only he got paid overtime we would be rolling in it!
