@Spark27 Even though I’ve had an early scan and seen a heartbeat I’m still expecting to get to my 12week one and them be like ‘lol ok, you’re not pregnant’ 🤦🏻‍♀️ I just really really don’t feel it! My waist is a little thicker and that’s about it - I want the scan out of the way and then a bump to start and then I might believe it!
Can’t believe your Tesco delivery, it’s madness! What is the world coming to?!

Quiffy · 18/03/2020 09:30

How's everyone coping this morning? How's working from home going?

I had a major panic attack last night, jumped out of bed going "OMG I've not taken my pill!!!" My DH was like ??? you took your vitamins. For some reason I thought I'd forgetten about my contraceptive pill that I've not taken since last August. Plus, you know, pregnant. I wonder if that counts as preggo brain...

SkyBlue20 · 18/03/2020 09:38

Oh, another one :-(

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8125061/Baby-tests-positive-coronavirus-Norfolk-hospital.html

Scary that babies are catching it - obviously I know not a big effect on us at the moment as our babies are safely tucked away but still terrifying :-(

@Quiffy 😂 that's funny! Definitely counts as baby brain. I genuinely think I already have baby brain, I keep forgetting words and getting them the wrong way round and stuff, even my husband commented on it!

Working from home is going but not particularly well - am very much procrastinating but have SO much work to do!

BntTowers · 18/03/2020 11:53

@Quiffy that's so funny! I had a weird dream last night. DH was also pregnant (not sure how that happened) and I was really annoyed because he told my work colleagues and not me... Then the whole, you're a man you can't be pregnant came up.
I'm actually working from home today. My pc got delivered at about 7pm last night. I can't remote into certain systems at the moment but I've been able to do some online work. I will be starting to run out of this fairly soon though...
Working from home is lonely, I didn't think I would mind so much, but I miss having a chat with other people. How is everyone else finding it?

SkyBlue20 · 18/03/2020 12:26

@Quiffy I'm not too bad but my husband also works from home so it's nice knowing he's in even if I've hardly seen him! Have also been messaging colleagues a bit via Whatsapp - we set up a group for us all to use as needed. I do miss the off the cuff comments about something in the news, annoying clients, etc, though! Is there anyone you could call or FaceTime over a cuppa for a few mins at lunch?

otterbaby · 18/03/2020 12:38

@BntTowers this is only my first day working from home but I'm so lonely already! The cat is keeping me company but that only goes so far! Definitely wouldn't be able to isolate for 12 weeks especially as the weather starts warming up.

BntTowers · 18/03/2020 12:45

@otterbaby we have two cats, they are both being super annoying and play fighting up and down the stairs. Not too bad when one of them is sat next to me.
I think it will be ok for me when it starts to get warmer, we are part way through sorting our garden a little. Once we get the raised bed build then I can go out and do some planting or something during my lunch. Don't fancy going outside for a quick walk at lunch time today, it's raining here and looks miserable.
I think I'm just going to have to stick as much as possible to working hour, take a full lunch break and that might help. I've been messaging a friend who is a doctor, just to check up on her and how she is doing which has helped a bit.

SkyBlue20 · 18/03/2020 13:03

My cat is keeping me company, too, she only deigned to show her face about an hour ago though, lazy so and so 😂
@BntTowers I was planning a walk at lunch, too, but it's throwing it down here of course. Think I'm going to log off and watch some telly or something for my hour then get back to it, am being very unproductive at the moment!

TheMHMummy · 18/03/2020 13:13

Is anyone else still feeling nautious, headachy, and just tearful all of the time? Just hit 11 weeks; I thought this would have slowed down by now :(

BecLJ · 18/03/2020 13:18

I am now also working from home for the foreseeable future as is my husband - I know we're very lucky to both have this option.

I have my scan on Tuesday and was planning to see family that weekend to tell them the news. Don't know if that's a good idea now! When are you all planning on telling people and are you planning to do so in person?

BecLJ · 18/03/2020 13:20

@TheMHMummy I am 12 weeks and my nausea is still going (although fairly mild) and the headaches! I don't feel particularly hormonal or tearful though which I wasnt expecting!

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2020 13:21

@TheMHMummy Yes I'm the same. 11+3 today and just feeling rubbish still.

My 4yo is climbing the walls already and we've only been home 2 days. Having a bit of a wobble.

MrsD1990 · 18/03/2020 13:29

Me and my husband have been going for walks at lunch time but I think everyone near us is doing that because it was so busy outside. Didn't feel safe. We're going to have to figure out another time to do our walks...

@beclj I'm going to message people about my pregnancy after our scan and then maybe a few days later make it more broadly known with work etc. Me and my husband aren't planning to meet up with people for the foreseeable future (regret visiting family last weekend because of the risk we took) but I'm looking forward to being able to tell my friends, even if only on WhatsApp!

Treacle81 · 18/03/2020 13:57

That’s schools (in Scotland and Wales) shirting Fri till prob summer. Means I’ll have company whilst self isolating now! I’m just over 11 weeks and still feel nauseous 24/7 so it’s not so bad being stuck in as feel crappy anyway xx

@BecLJ I've got my scan tomorrow (so excited/nervous) and going to tell people from the weekend. Got my parents round saturday for a mother days thing so will tell them. Going to call my sister and grandparents and DH will call his parents. Most other people will be messaged. I cant isolate from my parents as I need them to help me with my DD and probably doing some shopping for me. But I will be checking how they feel and not hugging or kissing, etc.

Went into work today for a few hours to sign onto work laptop to load my profile and wrap up a few bits. Management know, but walked out saying to the rest 'I'll see you next week'. Will be odd when I then message the group at the weekend and say I wont see them for 12 weeks!

Going to be odd when I get to go back to work. I work for the military in a big building with about 300+ people. I'll have walked out not visibly pregnant with no one knowing and will walk back in rocking a fairly hefty bump (esp 2nd time round). Will be odd to those I know but am not close enough to message and tell Grin

Also thinking I'm probably going to go off on Mat leave with soooooo much leave as I dont need to use any for 3 months. And then I'll accure a years worth. Going to be crazy.

LexiM · 18/03/2020 18:17

I’m also working from home, doing ok so far as my husband works from home already.
Yesterday he told me off for chatting to my mum during the day and not working enough, today I’ve been in the study busy working and several time he’s come to chat to me! Haha I don’t worry though as still getting the work done. We also have a cat that’s good at getting in the way!

I still feel a bit sick in the morning and in the evening along with being tired so by the time I’m done in the evening I’m not overly thinking about missing going out. I went in the garden to get some fresh air but will start doing some walks too otherwise it’s a very static life right now!

Hope everything goes well for everyone that has a scan this week... I’m still waiting for my letter.

CouscousEvaporator · 18/03/2020 18:52

I got sent home from work today, saying that I’m not to come back for the foreseeable...
can’t work from home so I’ve planned my days out with yoga, hypnobreathing and some exercise (as well as spring cleaning)

Can’t believe it

Lucylou37 · 18/03/2020 19:37

Hey ladies! How are we all doing this evening? I had my second day working from home today, popped to the shops to get some short term suppplies! And everything just feels so odd and surreal, I live in London and it's normally so busy and buzzy! The thought of being on total lockdown, without being able to leave the house is filling me with dread too! I'm 11 weeks, and having been relatively calm about the whole situation now keep getting really emotional and crying! Has anyone else had this? I'm hoping it's the hormones xxxx sorry for random post just nice to be able to post here as not many people my end know I'm pregnant xxxx

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2020 20:27

@Lucylou37 yes I've been in tears this evening too.
I'm very lucky in my position but it is a lot for us all to handle. Especially with the hormones. Look after yourself x

Lucylou37 · 18/03/2020 20:31

Thanks for lovely reply @Treaclepie19 it all just feels a bit overwhelming especially when I haven't even had a scan yet! Sending lots of hugs and relaxing vibes your way too xxxx

Spark27 · 18/03/2020 20:53

@Lucylou37, I had a bit of a breakdown tuesday am when my DH called me from work. Just so fed up, and feel like this is taking some of the enjoyment out of the pregnancy. But, I'm trying to think positively, and realise how lucky I am to not have to worry about my job being secure, or being paid while I'm 'working from home'

Totally gutted to find out today that they are shutting the nurseries. The few days respite with her in nursery would have been amazing, but...... I love my DD to bits, but it I wanted to look after her all the time I wouldn't have gone back to work Grin

But I have my scan tomorrow, so fingers crossed there's a baby in there and it's not just wind!

Lucylou37 · 18/03/2020 20:58

@Spark27 thanks so much for taking the time to reply! It's so overwhelming! I can't even imagine working, looking after a little one and dealing with early pregnancy! Sounds like you're doing fantastic! Hopefully with your other half's help you can have some down time! If not enjoy the next two days! Good luck for tomorrow and let us know how the scan goes sending love and hugs 💕

Spark27 · 18/03/2020 21:27

@Lucylou37, thanks. My DH is military and currently the officer in charge of our wider area's COVID response, so pretty manic. It doesn't pain but it pours! Grin

But last time I was pregnant he was deployed for 6 months, so this is a bit better. xx

Lucylou37 · 18/03/2020 21:38

@Spark27 oh no that's doesn't sound great! You must be proud of him though! If you need to chat, rant, vent feel free to PM me if you can do that on here! Hope all goes well xxx
