@SkyBlue20 it's at 9.30am so I'll only be in work a bit late, and make some decisions when I'm telling my boss

I'll certainly have a think about exercise!

Me and dp are having discussions about ths house, when I bought the 3 bed I thought it would be big enough for a baby but realistically it's too small, and we are trying not to stress about all the things we need! Anyone else in a similar boat?

I am still off food other than basics and dreading most meal times Sad

Treaclepie19 · 13/03/2020 06:23

The paranoia has really kicked in here and I'm worrying that even though scans will be going ahead, if I actually catch coronavirus then I'll be forced to miss them.
I may just hide for a few months 😂😩

SkyBlue20 · 13/03/2020 08:26

@Indigogirl88 Yep, same with our house! Realistically though there’s no way we can afford to move now so it’ll work for child #1 and we’ll hopefully be in a position to move before #2 (if we are lucky enough to have a second). Problem is that there’ll be nowhere for guests to stay as our third bedroom is an office as husband works from home, so we’re just going to buy a good air bed for the living room - my mum will love that 🙈😂 Storage is also a huge issue so doing a few bits to try and help that before baby arrives!

SkyBlue20 · 13/03/2020 08:28

@Treaclepie19 Had the same thought this morning as woke up with a sore throat and if I had to isolate for 14 days, my scan would be within that time! Taking the POV that it’s not worth worrying about - if it happens, it happens and we’ll deal with it then. Obviously still being cautious, however - lots of hand washing and not touching stuff going on!

Treaclepie19 · 13/03/2020 08:31

Yes you're right. I think it's just me putting so much on the nuchal measurement so the thought of not being able to get it is worrying.
We have a soft play party to go to tomorrow 😂 Germ central.

Spark27 · 13/03/2020 09:14

@Indigogirl88 I'm very happy that having another one means we lose our spare room and the in laws cant come and stay. We have 4 bedrooms, but DH has a man cave that he wont give up (I'm not too fussed as it means all his rubbish stays in there). When we told the in laws we are moving our DD to the bigger 'guest room' in May (used the excuse of the extra space so far) my MIL said 'oh, where will we stay when we come down?' Seeing as they maybe come down once or twice a year max I couldn't care less. Unless they want to give us an extra £50k for an extra room they can F off (can you tell I dont like my MIL!)

Quiffy · 13/03/2020 10:04

@Indigogirl88 @SkyBlue20 We have two bedroms and they second we use for guests, my sewing machine and his work/games. It's going to need some reorganising wah. Think we're going to get an air bed for living toom too.

I've been so busy with work this week I didnt get a chance to book my home shopping delivery. Just went to book and EVERYTHING is gone. Bloody virus, not sure what to do now. First slot was monday urgh. Dh doesnt drive so cant go himself and feeling so nauseated shopping will be fun.

Zaalfruit · 13/03/2020 12:15

We don’t even have a spare bedroom if I have a baby it has to stay with us till we can afford another house 1 bed apartment was a silly thing to do . My scans on Sunday morning the private one hope everything is alright . I am so scared of having a missed miscarriage I ending up just driving to my mums and am staying in the spare bedroom - she thinks I’m upset with my husband I don’t want to worry her . Just trying to feel okay and I keep saying it fine I can try again . Just feel numb. How is everyone else? @quiffy I tried to buy loo roll and pasta - not to stock up but just needed it nothing in the stores . Slightly worried now - everyone is stocking piling and we have empty cupboards.

SkyBlue20 · 13/03/2020 12:48

@Spark27 Seems like the perfect scenario 😂

@Quiffy It’s madness isn’t it?! All the empty shelves and no chance of online deliveries etc! We usually just shop daily for that night’s dinner but were saying we’re going to have to stock up a little bit in case we have to go in to isolation at some point - can’t be waiting ages for an online delivery! Cat food, too! Luckily and completely by chance, we’ve got a big fridge arriving next week as our current one is tiny and it’s annoying me when there are just the two of us never mind when baby arrives, but that means we can stock up on some frozen bits just to have in just in case. Don’t want to go all in stockpiling but also need to have some form of food!

Sending positive vibes your way @zaalfruit - let us know how Sunday goes.

Just been for my flu jab, the pharmacist was a little alarmed I was getting one as it’s ‘out of season’ but when I told her midwife recommended it last month and I’d only just got round to it she was fine. She also said it’s worth doing anyway as the weather is so crap up here until much later so there’s still a risk of flu even past Feb! She also said that this strain will cover me until Oct/Nov, when the new one comes out, so figured that’s fine as it’ll cover baby for at least the first month or so, too! Awkward time of year to get pregnant in terms of flu 😂

LexiM · 13/03/2020 14:04

We will need to re-organise the house for the baby too, have enough bedrooms but it’s amazing how you can fill them!

Had my booking appointment this morning, all good and currently low risk. It was in a private clinic and she said they do all booking appointments there to save room at the doctors, we were literally the only people on the whole floor! The midwife was really nice and said I should be seeing her for most of my appointments and asked what week day/time of day suited me best. She tried twice to take my blood and it was a pathetic drop, I’ve had this before where the nurse has struggled to get anything so I’m going to have to go to the hospital to have it done! Apparently I should get a scan appointment through soon now they will have referred me.

She said for Coronavirus currently they have plans for a designated surgery for those needing to see a GP that have/suspected to have it. Pregnant ladies under this category would go there and see the GP rather than to the normal midwife to hopefully reduce spreading. She said there’s currently no plans to cancel appointments and scans although they have stopped the group antenatal class as it’s not deemed 100% essential but she is hopeful it will all be back to normal once we get there later this year. She was literally receiving email updates on it while we were there and said every morning they have one to read the latest rules to follow. We were asked if we felt well and provided with hand gel as we entered the building.

Buzz22 · 13/03/2020 14:19

May I join this thread. Cautiously 9 weeks plus 4. Due date 12th Oct. Lost first baby at 22 week and had a small bleed yesterday so I don't have high hopes just yet.
Had early scan at 6ish weeks due to being high risk from previous pregnancy ( I had early PPROM at 18 weeks, induced labour due to infection risk for me and delivered sleeping at 22 weeks) and awaiting EPU appointment on monday for yesterdays bleeding.

SkyBlue20 · 13/03/2020 16:37

Your appointment sounds great, @LexiM! Love that you’ll have the same midwife right the way through - I’ve had two already and know I’m getting a different next time. Hoping for some continuity after that! Sounds like they’re really organised when it comes to Coronavirus too, which is reassuring! Hope your scan date comes through soon for you ☺️

Welcome @Buzz22! So sorry to hear about your previous loss and sending lots of positive vibes for this little one 💕 Do keep us updated with how everything goes!

Indigogirl88 · 13/03/2020 17:40

Welcome @Buzz22

I am loving the house renovation conversations 😂😂

I cant @ anyone for some reason!

Treating ourselves to fish and chips tonight, I actually have an appetite today so loving it.

Thanks for the info re coronovirus xxx

Indigogirl88 · 13/03/2020 17:42

I was just wondering did we set up a Facebook group or was the on the October 2020 thread?x

Quiffy · 13/03/2020 17:48

@indiegogirl88 I'm on one from this thread on Facebook that's really good, there was actually a post on it about inviting others over I'll find out who to message etc.

@Buzz22 congrats and welcome!!

@SkyBlue20 a bigger fridge will be amazing! Will make it much easier when baby is here

I'm soooo tired and stll working. Cannot wait to be finished and go to bed.

Spark27 · 13/03/2020 18:39

@Quiffy, is it a hidden group?

@Indigogirl88 weve just ordered another takeaway for dinner. I really fancy Turkish, and cannot be bothered to cook. My thinking is if I cant spend the money on wine why not treat myself with the food I want (fingers crossed I'm not the size of a house by the end)

Quiffy · 13/03/2020 18:46

@spark27 yeah it's totally hidden, the admin invited me by email. Doesnt show on anything and nobody can find the group unless you're in it. I was totally paranoid about this haha.

bluemoon2468 · 13/03/2020 18:57

@Quiffy I'd like to join - how do I find it?

MrsD1990 · 13/03/2020 19:25

Hope people keep posting here still even if you join the Facebook group! I'm not going to join just because I've been so honest on here about my work and the ups and downs of TTC and pregnancy, I sort of want to remain anonymous. So I hope some people continue posting on here as it gives me lots of comfort to be able to confide in you guys and hear what others at the same stage of pregnancy are going through ♥️♥️

Treacle81 · 13/03/2020 19:29

Hi girls, welcome @Buzz22 💁‍♀️ I am still feeling really rotten 24/7 and just really hope it gets better soon 🤞🏼xx

OP posts:
Spark27 · 13/03/2020 21:41

I kind of feel the same as you @MrsD1990. It's one of the reasons I stuck with this group and not the Sept ones I looked at (current EDD 29th Sept) as they all moved to FB

SkyBlue20 · 13/03/2020 22:48

(Although from The Sun so feel I need to do a bit more reading in to it!)

KelMcC · 14/03/2020 03:45

Wide awake club here! That is quite terrifying @SkyBlue20 , let us know if you find anything else on it!
Managed to make it through a full wedding (well up to the first dance!) yesterday without feeling rubbish so a good day all round!
Anyone else having good and bad days just now?

MrsD1990 · 14/03/2020 07:05

Wow well done making it through a wedding @KelMcC! That's seriously impressive. I managed to walk to the shops and back yesterday (50 min round trip) and considered that a win! A few weeks ago I'd have had to sleep for an hour or two to make up for the walk.

Worrying article @SkyBlue20. I wish they would take more precautions for pregnant women. They do on everything else. I'm not allowed to eat cured meat or brie but I'm allowed to have coronavirus!? I find that mad.

Off to visit family today. We're leaving early hoping trains will be quiet and coming home early on Sunday. We are taking a risk traveling but we need to go up for various reasons to support our family but also we are telling my brother and SIL and husband's parents and siblings that we're pregnant today! So exciting. My mum knows already but can't wait to tell a couple more people!
