She just said my bloods were fine, told me when to get whooping cough vac, told me to book an appt with her at 28 weeks and said she'll send a referral to the health visitor who would contact me after the birth to check baby and give me the red book and stuff!
I'll see my consultant on 19th as she'll do my scan so my birth plan would be decided through her anyways! Xx

Catherine1210 · 04/05/2020 16:58

@BooMamaBear Oh we didn’t discuss whooping cough or health visitor. That said I know from my last scan I can opt in on the 20 week scan day for one. I booked in my 25 and 28 week appointments this morning, the midwife only comes to the children’s centre two days a week though, so maybe that’s why she does it in advance.

That’s good you have a consultant appointment soon to discuss things in person x

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 19:44

She's just been kicking loads and DH could feel it too this time but now she's stopped I feel like I imagined it even though I know I didn't -I forgot how different it feels to any other tummy movements!! Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/05/2020 12:20

Hi I’m new to mumsnet, just joined yesterday. I’m due Oct 12th with my first so just hoping to join the group! X

BooMamaBear · 05/05/2020 13:12

welcome you're due the day after me xx

Catherine1210 · 05/05/2020 13:28

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy welcome Smile we are due date twins! X

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/05/2020 14:48

@Catherine1210 @BooMamaBear How exciting same day and the day after!

How is everyone feeling? In the last 2 days I have started with what I'm thinking is round ligament pain (when I googled it!) x

Catherine1210 · 05/05/2020 17:07

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy I have been lucky to not suffer with many symptoms so far, to the point my sister asked am I faking pregnancy ha! However I think I did experience heartburn for the first time last night? So that could be pregnancy or me eating too fast ha.

Oh no hope your round ligament pain eases for you. When’s your 20week scan? X

BooMamaBear · 05/05/2020 17:35

I've just got lower back pain had nausea up to week 10 but none since -I used to get heartburn really bad towards the end with DD but not really had it much yet! My 20w scan is 19th with my consultant xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/05/2020 18:03

That's amazing that it's been a nice easy pregnancy so far!

My scan isn't until the end of the month 28th. Are you all finding out what you're having?

Catherine1210 · 05/05/2020 20:10

@BooMamaBear hope the back pain eases up for you! I’ve never had heartburn before and this is my first pregnancy. I had to describe to my partner what the hot firey feeling was and he said it’s heartburn Blush I would have had no idea!

Aw my 20 week scan is on the 27th.

I already know the sex from a private scan last week, my partner was gutted he can’t attend the NHS scans, so we booked one private one for us to go together and had the bonus of finding out the sex a bit early too.

Do you think you’ll find out? @AutumnBabyWinterMummy . X

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/05/2020 20:16

@Catherine1210 yes we will find out, I'm really excited to. I know what you mean, my partner was really sad to not be able to come to 12 week and I'm sure he won't be able for 20 week either. I'm hoping the sonographer (is that a word?!) will write down the gender so we can find out together. We have then bought it's called an exploding golf ball (not dangerous!) for my OH to hit while we video so can send to family. We will probably book a private one later down the line so he can see because it's too special for him not to.

@BooMamaBear your scan is pretty soon then, are you going to find out the gender? Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 05/05/2020 20:17

@Catherine1210 ps what are you having or are you keeping it secret?!

BooMamaBear · 05/05/2020 22:57

I had to have CVS at 11 weeks there was a 50% chance that the baby wouldn't be ok ( I've got 1 healthy DD and lost 2 little boys who weren't ok following the results of this test) this one is was ok thankfully. As they take a sample from the placenta they know 100% what the baby is as they can see if it's XX or XY so I've know for a few weeks that I'm having a girl! - A very active (whenever I rest it go to bed) one it seems)!
I keep feeling really full all the time even when I've not just eaten it just makes me feel really uncomfortable - back pain is eating a bit thanks ladies!!
My 20w scan still seems ages away 2 wks today and I'm worried in case there is anything wrong!! Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 06/05/2020 09:07

@BooMamaBear Oh congratulations on your baby girl! And I'm sorry to hear about your baby boys. 💙💙

How lovely to feel movement, I haven't felt any movement yet but not too worried as I've read with your first it might take longer. Hoping that's the case and that there's nothing to worry about xx

BooMamaBear · 06/05/2020 10:28

Thank you!m @AutumnBabyWinterMummy -
Yeah with my first I didn't feel a thing til 20!weeks even then that still fairly early for a first baby!
What do you think you're having? Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 06/05/2020 10:37

@BooMamaBear I feel like I'm having a girl so seem to have got used to the idea of having a girl! But we shall see! I'll keep you posted.

How's everyone feeling today? A lovely gorgeous day X

Catherine1210 · 06/05/2020 11:31

@BooMamaBear aw congratulations on your girl! Pleased the back pain is easing for you x

@AutumnBabyWinterMummy you know I’ve pm’d you, I’ll post on here the gender after 20 weeks.

I haven’t felt any definite movements yet but I was told I have an anterior placenta at my private scan, so may feel movements more towards 20-22 weeks as it acts as a cushion so you don’t feel them! Xx

BooMamaBear · 06/05/2020 14:29

Thanks @Catherine1210 xx

BooMamaBear · 09/05/2020 05:34

Ugh struggling to sleep! I lay on my left as I know that's best for blood supply to the baby but then I get pins and needles in my arm and my hip hurts. I'm not comfy on my right and my back hurts if I lay on my back! I've got a pregnancy pillow which helps a bit but I get too hot with it after a bit!! I went to sleep at like 8.30pm coz I was so tired I forgot that when I go to sleep that early I wake up stupidly early needing the loo and then can't go back to sleep!
Plus little girl hadn't kicked since night before last tho she did move a bit yesterday I'm only 17+6 so shouldn't be worrying about her moving everyday yet but it's hard not too!! Xx

AutumnBabyWinterMummy · 09/05/2020 08:04

@BooMamaBear I feel for you! I have had neck ache for days now because I must've slept funny from sleeping on my side and feel it all day and can feel it when I'm trying to sleep also. Hoping it'll ease soon. I literally feel like an old lady when I'm in bed really stiff and can't get comfy! I keep waking up on my back and have to make myself move onto side maybe 10 times in the night every night. It's hard work!! X

BooMamaBear · 17/05/2020 00:33

Still struggling to sleep!! When is everyone 20 week scan? Mine is on Tuesday I'm pretty scared!! Xx

Catherine1210 · 17/05/2020 09:54

@BooMamaBear Aw no I’ve had a couple of bad nights too, mainly because 10y old step son has been in our bed the last 2! 🙈. My scan is on the 27th, I’m nervous too. I’m sure everything will be fine for us both though Smile

Any new signs or symptoms?

I’m OBSESSED with the fresh linen smell, I put on 4 washes this week just for the smell. Have also mixed linen fresh zoflora with a touch of comfort softener to spray around the house (which I do about 100 times a day!!) xx

BooMamaBear · 17/05/2020 10:11

I know I love that zoflora but the shop only has a different one this time which isn't as good!
I've got some fresh linen tea lights and wax melts I love that smell to! I've always got loads of washing to do anyway but I've done most of it now!!
I'm panicking a bit coz TMI I'm having some pale yellow watery-ish discharge but I'm sure I've had it since I've been pregnant but I read online it could be leaking amniotic fluid and worried that that's why my bump is so firm!! Xx

Catherine1210 · 17/05/2020 10:46

@BooMamaBear Mmm I love that smell!
Ask the midwife on Tuesday, maybe it might be an idea to wear a pad so you can show them? I have noticed increased discharge this week too but it’s not coloured. Xx
