@Luckyme30 I was too early for mine so going back two weeks but ours are still doing the test after the scan as they normally would

Luckyme30 · 10/04/2020 08:59

Do you think it would be wrong of me to kick up a fuss and complain that I won’t be getting the usual testing? In my eyes it just doesn’t seem fair. This is my trusts website and I’m sure I’m reading it correctly? I’m in Oxford.

Here's the link!

@Luckyme30 I also thought this myself, we are getting less appointments and scans etc because of the virus.... although I understand the reasoning why it makes me wonder what makes us all less important than those who were expecting when there wasn't a virus!

Can I joins? I recognise some of you ladies from the TTC buses! I'm 14,weeks and a day due 11th or 13th October the 8 week and 12 week scan have different dates she was measuring older by 12 week scan!!
My next scan is 19th May think that's my 20 week one though I'll. be 19+2 -
I'm already having to wear maternity leggings or shorts coz my belly is too big for my normal clothes - this is my 4th pregnancy tho I have 1DD and lost 2 little boys!! I also know I'm having a girl this time due to CVS! Xx

mummybee20 · 13/04/2020 10:03

Hi All,
Can I join? I am 12+5 due on Oct 21st for my first baby. My first scan is this Wednesday. I have been avoiding all pregnancy related social media and well everything until now as I am terrified I will have another miscarriage. I had one in August 2019. This was our first attempt since then to try again.
Trying to remain positive and be grateful I have morning sickness and nausea and all that jazz as they are good signs.
Just want my scan to show me a healthy baby so I can focus on the next bit.
Was there a Facebook group someone setup?

So happy to connect with other October mummy's.

JC084 · 13/04/2020 10:13

Hi @mummybee20
Congratulations 😊 I'm the same as you, I'm 12+4 and have my scan tomorrow. Excited but nervous. Think we're due October 22nd but will see what they think tomorrow.
This is my first too x

Nic20052007 · 13/04/2020 11:13

I was the same we lost a baby in October 2019 so I was a nervous wreck and still do worry everyday but I'm 14+6 today and I've had 2 scans and baby is great and is actually a week bigger than my dates so growing well.
Just got to keep positive.
I am on the Facebook group but I'm unable to add anyone as I'm not admin. Hopefully one of the other ladies will see and help you get on, it's a lovely group xx

JC084 · 13/04/2020 11:37

If anyone could add me to the FB group that would be great too 😊 Let me know how I can join x

babymama09 · 13/04/2020 16:05

charlottees89 · 13/04/2020 16:12

Hey everyone! I think there's a couple of October 2020 baby Facebook groups knocking around but I'm a member of a lovely, really active group with a fab group a women.
If anyone wants to join send me a direct message with your email and I will get you added. It's completely private and you need to be invited to join.
I know Facebook is not for everyone but it's so lovely to put faces to names etc xx

BooMamaBear · 19/04/2020 08:46

15 weeks today but I still feel like the days are dragging! My 20 week scan isn't til 19th May it just seems so far away!! I don't want to wish time away but I want to get to 24 weeks soon then I'll feel like I can relax a bit as the baby is viable then - of course I don't want her to come out til she's at least 38 weeks!! Hope you're all doing ok! Xx

marauder1994 · 19/04/2020 10:49

I agree with that! Every scan is a new milestone haha.

I've gone from feeling nauseas all day to being sick in the mornings but just the Mornings? So now worried about me n baby once again

Nic20052007 · 19/04/2020 13:12

I'm feeling the same, my 20 week scan is the 18th and I'm feeling I want it to hurry up just so I know everything is going to be ok, still worrying everyday 😢

Pippop21 · 26/04/2020 20:14

Hi, does anyone mind if i post a discharge photo? 🙈 im sorry in advance as its gross but its worrying me and i have bad diagnosed anxiety xx

Kelc87 · 27/04/2020 16:32

@Pippop21 no its fine go ahead x

BooMamaBear · 02/05/2020 22:44

How is everyone getting on? I'll be 17w tomorrow and am starting to feel nervous about my 20w scan which is in 19th!! Xx

Kelc87 · 03/05/2020 08:02

@BooMamaBear hey i was 17 weeks yesterday and also nervous about my one on the 22nd! Also nervous as we have a private scan this weds to find out the gender. I get nervous before any scan! But i think i might of started to feel baby a bit moving... im clueless as its my first! Xx

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 16:59

I already know I'm having a girl not sure if I've felt her moving yet or not she's my second (had two they only got to 13w so those not included) I can't really tell coz last time my placenta was at the front but this time it's at the back so I expect it to feel different!! Xx

Catherine1210 · 03/05/2020 17:41

17 weeks tomorrow! I also have my 16 wee midwife appointment tomorrow morning, they are still doing them in person at a children’s centre near me, I’m surprised as I thought it would be over the phone.

I had a private scan last week so know the gender now and got to see my baby in 4D which was soooo nice! Made it all feel very real. I didn’t actually book 4D, the midwife doing the scan just happened to switch it over to that, I would definitely recommend that though later on in pregnancy as it’s so detailed. Has anyone else had one?

Got my NHS 20 week scan when I’m 20+5. End of the month.

I have felt a few flutters but tmi I dunno if that’s just wind at the moment ha! Definitely not regular flutters which I can distinguish.

Symptoms wise I seem to be getting headaches this week and can feel my stomach stretching. I’m a first time mum and at the moment still don’t look pregnant just a bit bloated! So I’m looking forward to having a bump. Has everyone else got definite bumps now?

Hope everyone is doing well Smile x

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 18:08

I'm 17w today and got my 16w midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon in person too at my GP surgery (though the GP's aren't seeing patients just the midwife)!
Some days my belly is bigger than others but it's always bigger than before I'm living in maternity leggings but this is my 4th pregnancy's with baby #2 x

Catherine1210 · 03/05/2020 19:04

@boomamabear Ah you have yours in person too! I think that’s quite lucky as we can ask questions, over the phone I’m sure I’d forget things.

Pregnancy leggings sound like heavy right now, I’m current say on the sofa with my leggings round my thighs and a blanket round me as in the evenings they get too tight... such a good look Grin

BooMamaBear · 03/05/2020 20:19

@Catherine1210 😂- I've also gap sweatpants from the days I was 2 stone heavier which I wear too but these are literally the only trousers that fit me!! I've ordered some more maternity leggings from H&M they're taking ages to come coz of the social distancing measures! Xxx

Kelc87 · 04/05/2020 06:45

Yeah all 16 wk appts have been reinstated in person where i am. I had my whooping cough injection last Monday at mine and my arm swelled like a peach was itchy and bright red circle so if anyone gets that its totally normal i spoke to my mw 2 days after as it was itchy as hell but she said all normal. 16 weeks appt was nice as also heard the heartbeat .. im the same no definite bump just yet tummy still fairly squishy harder than it was but no bowling ball thats for sure lol

BooMamaBear · 04/05/2020 13:07

Well despite me checking with my GP surgery last week midwife called me this morning saying they're no longer seeing people til their 28w appt so she called me to do a telephone 16w appt!
I'm about pissed off she let me know so late but not too concerned coz I'm consultant led care anyway! Seeing my. Consultant in 2 weeks!! Xxx

Catherine1210 · 04/05/2020 15:45

@BooMamaBear that’s annoying leaving it so late to tell you! Mine went as normal but the midwife was wearing full PPE, as expected really.

Apart from listening to babies heartbeat/wee sample, we didn’t really go through many questions, so I’m not sure what we would have said on the phone. Did you find it helpful? Xx
