So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ohh glad not only me! I had a McDs on Tues night as was craving a burger then stopped off for a BK whopper last night!!! I have both restaurants 5 mins from my home 🤷‍♀️ Was amazing!! Defo only seem to be ok when eating or sleeping these days 😳 x

LexiM · 25/02/2020 15:30

Yep me too, I want all the salty rubbish foods and processed burgers! The baby will pretty much take all the nutrients it needs so is fine. I’m just conscious of not getting carried away with any volume of food. Keep adding veggies in but eugh they taste so horrible when I would usually like them.

MrsD1990 · 25/02/2020 17:00

I'm the same... Eating lots of beige and the thought of veggies turns my stomach even though I would usually love them. Trying to get at least 3 fruit or veg in a day (I'd usually aim for 5) but I don't wanna make myself feel nauseous. Feels like I just love kids food/fast food right now!

bluemoon2468 · 25/02/2020 17:28

@MrsB1821 eat whatever you want guilt free. Even the doctor said to me that in the first trimester the only important thing is that you're managing to eat - your body will crave what it needs and pregnancy vitamins will make up any deficit. And you certainly aren't going to make a miscarriage more likely by eating junk food!

Indigogirl88 · 25/02/2020 17:57

I am soooooo hungry today I ate

2 crumpets
Babybell
Ham sandwich (with salad haha)
2 packets of plain crisps
Yoghurt
Fruit
Kit Kat

Got my early scan tonight, nervous mixed with anxious and excitement all at once! Dh is also really nervous xx

SkyBlue20 · 25/02/2020 19:17

Just ordered a Dominos. So unlike us on a Tuesday night but I’m blaming the baby (who seems to LOVE carbs and cheese) and the weather - it’s far too miserable to go to the supermarket... 🙄😂

SkyBlue20 · 25/02/2020 19:25

Other than the hunger (and feeling sick when hungry), all of my other symptoms have gone and I know that’s normal but I keep willing my sore nipples to come back as I found them somewhat comforting! There’s really no winning - you feel crap and it’s awful, you feel better and you worry because you don’t feel crap 🤦🏻‍♀️

DressingGown87 · 25/02/2020 20:02

@skyblue20 feel you with the symptoms, and boobs! Wishing for that sore feeling back when you had your bra on, with a sense of relief when you get home and take it off!

KADAQ1 · 25/02/2020 20:03

Is anyone struggling with bloating?
I’m only 7+4 and I feel so bloated all the time. I couldn’t get my trousers to fasten this morning and had to opt for a dress for work Instead

Zaalfruit · 25/02/2020 20:06

I’m so jealous of everyone that’s wants to eat. I miss food . I have lost half a stone in 2 weeks . Every moment I just feel sick :( @SkyBlue20 wish the sore boobs comes back !

Indigogirl88 · 25/02/2020 20:17

@SkyBlue20 snap for the symptoms and carbs and cheese!!

Had my early scan today and measuring at 7+6 with edd 7th October now. But got to see heartbeat and everything in the right place so all good! All sinking in now Smile

SkyBlue20 · 25/02/2020 20:51

Congrats @indigogirl88! How much did they move the dates by? So good seeing the heartbeat, isn’t it?! I don’t think it’s sunk in for me yet, it’s like I’m waiting for something and I don’t know what, I think it may be the 12 week scan - after that I may allow myself to believe it a bit more.

bluemoon2468 · 25/02/2020 21:25

When you develop an extreme aversion to pancakes and even the smell makes you run to the toilet and vomit... just in time for pancake day 👍🏻

Indigogirl88 · 25/02/2020 22:21

@SkyBlue20 oh yeah and a massive relief eh? THE best £80 ever spent! Dates only moved 5 days hehe but I'll mention it to my midwife tomorrow.

I have a small cyst on the ovary that ovulated I don't think I need to worry do I, I've heard it's pretty normal?

SkyBlue20 · 26/02/2020 05:58

Oh no, @bluemoon2468! Make a mental note to make up for it when you can face then again!

@Indigogirl88 I’ve done a lot of reading up on this since my scan as I have a collapsed corpus luteum, which is slightly different, but cysts kept coming up and from what I can gather it’s completely normal and should go on it’s own but they’ll just keep an eye on it in case it doesn’t and it needs treating. Xx

tle2109 · 26/02/2020 07:14

Hi ladies. Haven’t posted in a while, but had my early scan yesterday as we and the doctors weren’t sure how far gone I was because of my pcos/irregular periods. I thought I was 4w but turns out I was 6w yesterday! They found the baby straight away and we saw its heart fluttering... amazing to know/see such a small (5mm!!) thing inside of me has a heartbeat! They’ve estimated my DD as 20/10/20 - love that date lol

Sorry a lot of you are feeling rubbish :( xx

Indigogirl88 · 26/02/2020 07:45

Thank you so much @SkyBlue20 that's made me feel a lot better. I'll tell the midwife today and see what she says.

Has everyone got their booking appointments now?

Quiffy · 26/02/2020 09:26

@Indigogirl88 @tle2109 woop on the scans that's very exciting!

@bluemoon2468 feel you on the pancakes, anything sweet is yuck.

I'm feeling nervous today, I have my repeat bloods today to check my liver since it was enlarged. Freaked myself out last night reading about hepatic pregnancies. I'm sure everything will be fine but still bricking it.

MrsB1821 · 26/02/2020 09:52

It will be fine @Quiffy - you’ll see 🥰

MrsB1821 · 26/02/2020 09:56

I’m supposed to be seeing my best friends at the weekend for a girly and I was going to tell them all. One has announced that she has just been to the docs and both her and her little girl have an upper respiratory viral infection. Instead of staying home she has said she still wants to go for the weekend as long as we don’t mind catching it!
I’ve tried to be diplomatic and say she should rest and get better but the others have all said she should still come. This means now I can’t go but how do I tell them?!

Treaclepie19 · 26/02/2020 10:07

My booking appointment is today @Indigogirl88!

@Quiffy I hope all goes well Flowers

@MrsB1821 that's a tricky one. Personally I'd just make up an unrelated excuse. It's tricky because if you tell them the reason they'll feel forced not to go and it could create tension.
There's so much of it about though I'd potentially just go because I've managed to catch a horrid cold that seems to be going on my chest just going about my day to day.

SkyBlue20 · 26/02/2020 11:31

Amazing, @tle2109! Crazy how tiny they are, isn’t it?! 💕

@Indigogirl88 I’ve had AN appointment but it was so basic, just filling out a form for my referral to the hospital. I’ve got my proper booking appt on Tue ☺️ Definitely speak to your midwife but I’m sure it’s fine, they just need to keep an eye on it.

@Quiffy Sure all will be fine, sending love your way. Let us know how it goes!

@MrsB1821 That is so awkward (and I’m so surprised your friend has said she’ll go if everyone doesn’t mind getting it!) - I concur with just making up another reason to miss it.

Has anyone flown since being pregnant? I’m on my second (short) flight of the day, just about to take off, and the first was ok but I felt so nauseous, was just nibbling crackers and sipping water the while way through. I did read that pregnancy symptoms can be heightened when flying for some reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

Spark27 · 26/02/2020 11:48

@skyblue20 I flew a couple of times when about 6w. Fortunately I wasnt feeling ill then though. Not sure how I'd cope now. I'd recommend some boiled sweets maybe, and an aisle seat if poss so you can stand up and get to the loo easily x

SkyBlue20 · 26/02/2020 13:11

@Spark27 Ahh yes I was pretty proud of myself as the other day I suddenly thought ‘I should book aisle seats’ and did so - didn’t need them but it’s nice to not be in the middle, surrounded by people, sure that would only make the nausea worse! Boiled sweets is a great idea - will grab some before I fly home on Friday.
I now have to navigate a few days with a load of people drinking a lot and me having to make excuses for not doing so when normally I would be quite partial to a glass of wine in the sun with them! 🙈

Quiffy · 26/02/2020 13:16

Thanks everyone! Back from bloods, they had to use both my arms as no blood would come out the first. So feeling sorry for myself hahah. Can hopefully get the results on Friday before I head off to the midwife.

@skyblue20 ooo enjoy your time away!

@MrsB1821 Could you suggest another weekend when she might be feeling better? I know it can be hard with friends, mine's need months of notice. Not sure I'd want to go just incase but it's a really tough one.
