So today I found out I’m pregnant with #1 ! & I honestly haven’t stopped crying with happiness all morning. Although I know it’s early days, I just wanted to see if there were any other early Oct babies due so that we can share the journey! I’m over the moon ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@Lucylou37 I was feeling lucky because I’d had a bit of nausea but it went away, well definitely back now! Was awake from 5.30 this morning feeling sick. Managed to get some more sleep but still feeling it now. Mine definitely reduces for a bit when I eat.

Lucylou37 · 23/02/2020 10:45

@Treacle81 ahh good to know it's not just me! And I've got scan similar time... it seems ages away xxxx

Lucylou37 · 23/02/2020 10:50

@lexiM yes mine comes in waves too! I think because it's not proper being sick, I'm questioning is this actually morning sickness! But I never had this pre pregnancy!! 😊

Treacle81 · 23/02/2020 14:41

Absolutely mortified girls! Went to Spin and couldn’t do much, not for the lack of energy but purely down to breast pain. Anyway, was explaining instructor that I wasn’t slacking and told her reason then started bubbling! So that’ll be the hormones again. First cry in public. It’s my birthday, I’m working overtime and a colleague bought me a chocolate bar and more tears! oh this 12 weeks needs to hurry so people don’t think I’m just unstable! 😳😳😳x

BooMamaBear · 23/02/2020 15:32

My scan is 3rd March I'll be 7+5 usually start feeling sick around 3pm-8pm so I can eat as long as I have dinner late! Xxx

Nazly · 23/02/2020 16:42

@Indigogirl88 I am not 5 weeks yet so maybe this is the reason
@Spark27 thank so much for telling us about your last experience ; I actually felt really sick with my son but it started week 6; then with one of my chemical I felt seek from week 2/3 a very severe sickness that early that I haven't had with my Son that early anyhow
So I know you are absolutely right, but it's so good to hear it from somebody else

I am more hopeful mine is going well here ; no bleeding or bad cramping

Ellabella234 · 23/02/2020 19:35

Quiet on here sorry - can't keep up! With my 3yo in tow and feeling sick all day I'm hardly coping!
@MrsB1821 Did you have your scan yesterday, how did it go?
How's everyone feeling this evening?

SkyBlue20 · 23/02/2020 20:03

Hi all, how are we doing?
I’m generally ok but really suffering from an achey hip and achey lower back this evening. Have been walking around in heeled boots so might be part of the reason, though I do do that most days and have been fine - know things are constantly changing at the moment though!
I’ve convinced husband that we should get another scan in about 2.5-3 weeks, when we’ll be around 10 weeks. I’m just SO anxious so feel it’s worth it for the piece of mind. Would also like to make sure all is ok with this collapsed corpus luteum and ensure baby has grown as (s)he was measuring a tiny 3.8mm! I’m also really impatient 😂

MissExcited · 23/02/2020 20:08

Congratulations! I’m 8 weeks along and due Oct 1st :)

Struggling with the first trimester exhaustion and nausea though, feels so relentless right now and wish away to second trimester. Anyone else struggling?

Zaalfruit · 23/02/2020 20:52

Really struggling with nausea and sickness :( any tips xxx

JazzFord · 23/02/2020 21:06

@MissExcited @Zaalfruit Ive been really struggling too and with Dizzyness, had to get sent home from work. Ive got blood tests on Thursday. Drinking peach juice and really small plain foods whenever i feel i can stomach something has helped. I just want to get to second trimester! My scan is on 24th March. Hope it gets easier for you ladies xxx

bluemoon2468 · 23/02/2020 21:09

After a weekend of literally non-stop vomiting and sleeping unable to keep anything much down, I'm going to the doctor's tomorrow to see if they can do anything to help. At the very least I need to be signed off work as I can barely sit upright, but I'm also worried about how few calories I'm consuming and managing to keep down 😔

Tryingforanother2020 · 23/02/2020 21:15

I'd love to join you ladies! I'm due 15/10 - how are you all?! I'm 6+3 and not really having much nausea yet which of course, I'm worrying about! X

MrsB1821 · 23/02/2020 22:45

Awww thanks for asking @Ellabella234
Yes had my scan and our little bean is fit and healthy! We saw it’s heart beat and I have been put forward a few days - I’m now 8w1d
Soooo excited.
Hubby got a bit emotional too which is a great sign for him!
So sorry for you all if your feeling pants!
My boobs are super ouch today and my nose is a super power! I can literally smell EVERYTHING - it’s horrid! But I really can’t complain. Some of you have it so tough! Xx

Cookiemonster19 · 23/02/2020 23:46

Hi everyone!

Following my last post I rung 111 as I vomited 9 times within 4 hours.... not had any food in 2 days and barely any liquid has stayed down
Spent my Sunday in hospital with a drip to re hydrate me as I was severely dehydrated and an anti sickness injection!! I’m not back home and got anti sickness medication which will hopefully help

Hope you all feel better soon! X

MissExcited · 24/02/2020 00:40

@JazzFord aw bless, glad you went home from work. Sometimes I don’t know how I’m supposed to carry on working when feeling like this. The fact is though, pregnant workers are protected by employers and it’s their duty to amend your working conditions/hours to make it more comfortable. Demand your rights! I had the same last week, I’m a teacher and I fainted at the top of the stairs as my classroom is the final floor. The doctors signed me off for a week, until they reduced my hours to 9-2 with less responsibilities.

I hated the idea of taking the offer and admitting defeat, but we must think of our little ones growing. That’s the priority!

Good luck all of you xxxx

Nazly · 24/02/2020 08:04

@Cookiemonster19 oh no- my sympathy; I do hope you recover soon and are able to go back home

Quiffy · 24/02/2020 09:47

How's everyone doing?

I've been very quiet as I'm mainly just feeling sick and being a sloth in my bed. Trying to work again today so I shall see how that goes...

bluemoon2468 · 24/02/2020 10:26

After an urgent GP appointment today I've been prescribed prochloperazine to stop the vomiting, as I was very dehydrated with very low blood pressure. 🤞🏻 this does the trick as I can't do much more of this!

SkyBlue20 · 24/02/2020 10:32

Sending so much love to everyone that’s feeling crap - hope it subsides soon (and that the medicine works, @bluemoon2468!). You can do this! 💪🏼

Great news on the scan, @MrsB1821 - though I’m jealous you got put forward a week, we got put back a week, which is so annoying when every week feels 10 years long. Must just be grateful baby was healthy though ☺️

Spark27 · 24/02/2020 10:47

Hey ladies, sorry to everyone that's feeling terrible. Hopefully it wont last too long for us. I've been off work for a week, and was starting to feel a bit better over the weekend, but feeling crappy again today. I have worked out that I need to eat to stop myself feeling so nauseous, and I'm managing to find a few things I can stomach. Tiredness is also a nightmare with the sickness. Made all the more difficult by having a toddler.

9w today, and I'm signed off until the 4th, so hoping by then I'll be through the worst of it. Having to dodge family and friends a lot as I don't want to tell them til after my scan (19th). Becoming pretty adept at the lying Grin

SkyBlue20 · 24/02/2020 11:43

@Spark27 eating to fend off the nausea is a definite winner - I’m finding carbs and cheese are good for me, so lots of cheese on toast here! Also avoiding friends, it’s just easier, isn’t it?! 😂🙈 Can’t imagine how hard it must be with a toddler, too, sending you lots of get better soon vibes!

Just had a call to book my midwife appt and am booked in for next Tue ☺️ So excited to finally feel like it’s all starting.

Zaalfruit · 24/02/2020 11:46

@JazzFord I want the time to fly by to second trimester .

My scan is on the 3rd I feel like it’s too early. Went doctors today they gave me omeprazole and cyclizine hydrochloride hopefully it helps. ( I’m struggling to eat - my appetite is gone and after I eat , I feel so unwell )

Indigogirl88 · 24/02/2020 12:46

@SkyBlue20 cheese and carbs are my best friends also today. I also literally ran to the shop to get some plain crisps to help feeling sick.

I'm feeling a bit stressed as well today, my own doing because I'm starting a new job and got lots going on. I've got a week off soon and it cant come soon enough!

Just keep focusing on the early scan tomorrow for me which is helping me through work

DressingGown87 · 24/02/2020 12:49

@zaalfruit I want it to fly by too!

Sorry to see a lot of you are having a tough ride with the sickness! My symptoms and nausea have subsided at 5+3, which makes me anxious. Still feel in a daze and that my period is going to start any minute. Scan next Monday!
