Congratulations @maria94 !

I should find out whether it's a boy/girl tomorrow afternoon - I'm very excited but also nervous about the scan in general. I have a MW appointment tomorrow coincidentally too, so busy day.

maria94 · 24/09/2019 21:36

@Yvonne1988 I'll have a look, thank you! I was convinced I was having a boy but the lady who did the scan said she was 99.9% sure it's a girl!! When do you find out? (If you are!) x

maria94 · 24/09/2019 21:37

@Dinosauraddict good luck! Let's us know how you get on ☺️

Yvonne1988 · 24/09/2019 21:42

@maria94 oh I'm definitely finding out. 1st November. Ages away lol. I do really want another girl. I have a daughter already. But I am coming to terms with the fact it's probably a boy. I just don't know what to do with them haha I am the eldest in my family and its a big family and I have never changed a boys nappy in my life! Lots of girls in my family.

MockingJay27 · 24/09/2019 21:46

@Yvonne1988 we find out on the same day. If nub theory is correct ours is definitely a girl.

MissPepper8 · 24/09/2019 22:27

Exciting, our 20 week scan is 28th Oct and we're not finding out. I have a boy and I don't think I mind this time. Girl would be nice but equally have loads of lovely boy clothes to reuse.

I want a surprise too, after hyperemesis I won't be doing this again 😂😂

Keyboard91 · 25/09/2019 03:44

@Jesskir89 I can start the next one again :) I am around, just lurking at unsociable hours!

@maria94 another for Avon original skin so soft. My nan travels a lot and she swears by it

Good luck @Dinosauraddict

We’ve booked a private gender scan for the first day of half term (I’ll be 18+2) as I can’t wait until Nov 13th for our 20 weeks scan, and is and incentive to get through to half term with something to look forward too :)

I’ve been awake since 3AM and genuinely feel like I need to go down and have a slice of toast - ridiculous! Also might just curl up on the sofa then as fed up of being in bed and not sleeping!

3 nights in a row iv had 8 hours sleep and still tired. Enjoying it while it lasts before another round of insomnia kicks in

Jesskir89 · 25/09/2019 07:34

@keybpard91 Brill thank you :) good luck today @dinosauraddict I'm sure everything will be fine x

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 08:18

Think iv ballooned overnight. Usually this size after iv eaten a meal. Haven't eaten yet

sep30 · 25/09/2019 08:45

@Yvonne1988 I was like that last Friday, I woke and couldn't believe it!

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 09:05

Just bought my first baby thing. Aldi have a sale and I saw a nice orange and white baby towel with a fox on it. I'm not one to buy things before a second scan because I'm not a fan of gender neutral stuff but it's taking all my will power not to go shopping!

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 09:07

@sep30 I even are healthy yesterday and this is the thanks I get haha

MissPepper8 · 25/09/2019 12:13

@Yvonne1988 Is baby your first? My first I was tiny and you couldn't tell I was pregnant until 25 plus weeks (even then it was hideable).

This is 2nd and I've already got a tummy at 12 weeks!! I'm 15 today and I swear ive got bigger again over the last few days. With DS I didn't bother buying maternity i could stay in the same clothes, I'm going to be huge 😂

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 12:16

@misspepper8 no 2nd iv been showing for ages.

MissPepper8 · 25/09/2019 12:19

@Yvonne1988 Yeah seems to the way, nvm I was sad I didn't have a bigger belly with DS anyway 😂

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 14:38

@MissPepper8 iv always had insecurities about how I looked. So I'm struggling a little bit but not as much as I thought yet. I took photo this morning. Only 14+5. I'm sure this point last time was at the just looking fat stage with no bump.

Doormat247 · 25/09/2019 14:49

@Yvonne1988 I've just bought the Moses basket that matches the fox blanket you bought. £25, such a bargain (as long as it's not utter crap).
I'm finding it very hard to be interested in buying things as I'm struggling with PGP and a slipped disc - makes me wonder why I'm carrying on with the pregnancy some days.
Every once in a while I start searching online for things to buy though but I should wait a couple more weeks for my second scan to make sure everything is ok.

Jesskir89 · 25/09/2019 14:54

I'm at a baby event on sat so plan on buying some things there but we're not finding out the sex anyway :) @dinosauraddict any update yet?

Yvonne1988 · 25/09/2019 14:59

@doormat247 I'm not sure if I'll need a basket. Get baby boxes up here and they can sleep in them for a while. I want to be excited and buy more but my partner not as excited as me, and I think worried everything is gonna change for the worse, so I'm just trying to keep it in for now.

whiskersonkittenss · 25/09/2019 15:10

is there a moses basket stand sold at aldi, does anyone know?

Doormat247 · 25/09/2019 15:31

@whiskersonkittenss I don't think they sell them separately. Mine came as a complete set with the basket.

whiskersonkittenss · 25/09/2019 15:34

oh that's even better! I've not got a basket yet and assumed theyd be sold separately like everywhere else. I'll have a look in my local tonight

Doormat247 · 25/09/2019 15:34

@Yvonne1988 we have possible issues so are trying to be very sensible until we can maybe see more in the next scan or get test results back.
My partner isn't very excited about buying anything but he did agree to a few bits and pieces as they were cheap.

Doormat247 · 25/09/2019 15:36

@whiskersonkittenss the one I bought was £25 in store on sale but shows as £29.99 online. They do a fox version (neutral colours) and a rabbit version (clearly more for girls as a lot of pink in the hood).
