Ooh very similar skull shape @brookelopez. I’m happy either way.

brookelopez · 18/09/2019 16:35

it's definitely sunk in now that he's a boy, I've gone a little wild on the asda baby event and bought some lovely little summer rompers for him 🥰

myloveforfrazzles · 18/09/2019 16:45

They’re gorgeous @brookelopez, it’s funny to think they’ll be tiny in the summer. I keep imagining a winter baby but they won’t be

brookelopez · 18/09/2019 16:49

I know! their skinny little newborn legs out for some air, makes me melt thinking about it!

myloveforfrazzles · 18/09/2019 16:56

I just can’t believe that soon (well in 28 weeks) I will know what they look like!. I just keep picturing a really small version of my husband, and that’s quite terrifying😂

Jesskir89 · 18/09/2019 16:58

@myloveforfrazzles lovely pic congrats. I can't see the nub to guess (can't on mine either) how far are you? I love dexter and zachary

Jesskir89 · 18/09/2019 16:59

Congrats @brookelopez :)

brookelopez · 18/09/2019 17:07

I will be fuming if he looks like his dad Grin

thank you @Jesskir89. I'm 16 weeks today and it seems to be going a bit more quickly now I can buy things!

myloveforfrazzles · 18/09/2019 17:15

@Jesskir89 12 weeks! We’ve gone for Zachary

@brookelopez I just know my one will lol!. DH was 9lbs 12oz at birth so I’m hoping this baby is smaller

Dinosauraddict · 18/09/2019 18:05

@myloveforfrazzles congrats on your scan, and I love Zachary - it was in mine and my DH's too 5.

We have both the full girl and boy name finalised - should hopefully find out next week which it will be!! Grin

MiniJMac · 18/09/2019 20:14

Evening everyone. Thank you for the warm welcome. So nice to see everyone's scan pictures. We had ours yesterday. Not going to find out the sex but I do love guessing.
Heres our scan pic 🥰

Should add due 28th March.

Jesskir89 · 18/09/2019 21:20

Congrats @minijmac lovely pic :) @brookelopez wow it is going faster now I'm almost 14 weeks so I'm going to start buying this week. We're not finding out the sex so looking for nice neutral decor for the nursery. @myloveforfrazzles my dh is 6 ft 5in so they said I'm in for a bit baby lol

Yvonne1988 · 19/09/2019 03:49

Happy birthday to me. Insomnia is real tonight. Wide awake.
Here I am turning 31 and I always always said 30 was my cut off for kids cos I didn't want to be old and have young kids 😂 I don't feel that old yet though

Dinosauraddict · 19/09/2019 05:32

Happy birthday @Yvonne1988 !

myloveforfrazzles · 19/09/2019 08:34

Thank you @Dinosauraddict

Lovely pic! @MiniJMac

Happy Birthday!! @Yvonne1988

@Jesskir89 DH is 6’2 and they said this one will most likely be big. I’m 5’2 and as skinny as a twig, I’m terrified lol

ELW85 · 19/09/2019 10:48

@Yvonne1988 - happy birthday! I’m 34 so hopefully that makes you feel better about the age you’re having yours!

@MiniJMac - congratulations on the scan, lovely pic!

brookelopez · 19/09/2019 12:56

happy birthday @Yvonne1988 Cake

Yvonne1988 · 19/09/2019 13:31

Thanks everyone!

Worriedmum97 · 19/09/2019 13:58

How long did you wait for the screening results to come through? Especially London based ladies (Kingston). I was told 2 weeks, but I’ll be over 15 weeks by then. And what sort of test you had? My midwife said it’s a DNA based test (similar to harmony one), but I received leaflets about combined test which I understand is the old test they used to have?

ELW85 · 19/09/2019 14:17

@Worriedmum97 - I don’t have answers but am also curious about this. I think like everyone I’m just really really keen to get the results through.
It will be just the combined test if it was done on the NHS though.
I got told if we were high risk, we’d get a call by 4th working day (today) so I’m praying for the phone not to ring.

brookelopez · 19/09/2019 14:26

@Worriedmum97 I got my NHS downs, Edwards and patau results back in around ten days via a letter.
I was worried the entire time I was waiting, but I am sure they said to me if it's high risk they'd call me within 3 days.

satsumasaturday · 19/09/2019 14:29

Happy birthday @Yvonne1988 make sure you eat enough cake for two 😊

@Worriedmum97 I'm not London based I'm afraid but had the combined screening (where they look at the neck measurement at 12 week scan plus take your bloods). They said results could take up to two weeks, unless you showed high risk in which case it would be a couple of days. I had my scan and bloods on Monday and then letter confirming I am lower risk through the post on Saturday.

I had my 16 week midwife appointment today -much more hurried than the booking appointment!! I got to hear the heartbeat though which was a good reassurance it's still there as I'm not showing at all! Took her a while to find though (cue total panic from me) so I can see why getting a home Doppler is not recommended - if the midwife struggles find it then i certainly would!

brookelopez · 19/09/2019 14:30

@Worriedmum97 forgot to add, the test was a blood sample taken from my arm. if you get a high probability result then I think the further test they do is take some amniotic fluid from the womb.

Jesskir89 · 19/09/2019 16:49

Happy birthday @yvonne1988 I'm 30 and having my first and I want another after this. I think it's great women are having babies later now we have more knowledge and experience to pass on. @myloveforfrazzles there's over a foot between us too but you're smaller than me so I feel for you
