The Graduates of TTC after pregnancy loss thread #2 "The Penguin Huddle " 🐧🐧🐧

Hello Ladies

Starting a new penguin huddle thread as the first one is getting very full. This is for those of us who've graduated from the conception boards.

Getting a BFP after pregnancy loss is not necessarily a happy time so this is a safe place to vent, worry and share news (good, hopefully, or bad).

I hope you are all here for the long-haul. But you are welcome no matter how briefly.
Others who are pregnant after loss but who weren't on the original thread are of course welcome too.

Let's start the roll call:

Me:
No living children, 3rd pregnancy, currently 8+3. Had early scan at 7 weeks that showed baby measuring right for 7w with a heartbeat. Got another early viability scan booked in for this Tuesday at 8+6. Really scared I've lost this one again.
2 previous pregnancies ended in mmc at 12+3 (baby stopped growing at 5 weeks) in July 2018 and mc (CP but hate that term) in November 2018. Before then had been TTC for 5 years so our journey has been 6 years since starting to TTC.

Good luck with scans today @Ginmonkey84 and @Frillyfarmer. Thinking of you both.

How are you @Russkispy?

@InDreamland the tube is horrendous! Have just told work I'm working from home Thursday. Don't be afraid to ask if people don't notice your badge. I think we are all guilty of being in a bit of a tube bubble and I always used to ask when I was pregnant with DD. Most people are happy to get up and hugely apologetic that they didn't see you. I do love the people who look at you and then look down though! I always find its middle aged men! Find young guys and women the best at giving up their seats.

@Beaglemum93 I think I might not take up my neighbours offer then!! I don't want anything else to freak me out! I'm still stressing today over movement as only felt a few tiny pops this morning. I know this is because of the anterior placenta and also because it's still early so I need to give my head a wobble!

Bluebelltulip · 23/07/2019 12:09

Good luck @Ginmonkey84 and @FrillyFarmer.

How are you doing now @Russkrispy?

Great scan @UnicornsandRainbows.

I've spent the morning in a shaded garden at a cafe with ice drinks and the play area was in the shade for DD as well. The walk home was boiling though, definitely going to take things easy this afternoon.

Excellent news @Ginmonkey84.

rubyroot · 23/07/2019 13:12

Just to let you know though. You've shared all your details @Ginmonkey84

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 23/07/2019 13:51

Great news @Ginmonkey84! It's really good that you're measuring correctly for your dates and that a heartbeat was seen.

Russkispy · 23/07/2019 14:03

Bleeding is still there, from last night varies anything from brown to pink to red. But not much and not all day and it's not filling the pad. I rang EPU again and spoke to the lovely nurse who looked after me with my last MMC and d&c. And suggested i came tomorrow to see the same consultant from my both d&c. She was so nice on the phone and also she said an interesting thing. I don't have to be referred by GP to them! Whereas the other lady from yesterday kept saying I had to be referred over and over again! So the lovely nurse apologised for that. Anyway, I'm going tomorrow. I don't have any pains, discomfort, cramps or passing any clots. Don't really know to expect. But expecting worse and hoping for the best. I even bought ibuprofen just now in case needed. Big sigh 😔
@Ginmonkey84 glad all went well with the scan!

Ginmonkey84 · 23/07/2019 14:14

I know I have reported it to try and get the pictures taken down. Only realised the crop didn’t work once I posted x

Bluebelltulip · 23/07/2019 14:15

Glad you spoke to someone helpful @Russkispy but sorry to hear that you are still bleeding, good luck tomorrow.

Bluebelltulip · 23/07/2019 14:16

Yay for your scan @GinMonkey84

InDreamland · 23/07/2019 15:49

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I don't find people are so kind generally on the central line, get some nice people but have witnessed so much blatant stare and then look away. If people are happy to give up their seat they will but often they just blatantly look away. Maybe they're all so badly in need of a seat themselves. I'm definitely working from home Thursday. I read that overheating can cause early labour or miscarriage so I'm taking no chances after last year. Need to take tube tomorrow though as I have meetings I need to be in for.

@rubyroot I hope it was more a shadow from lighting than something to worry about but I get the panic, right with you there.

@Russkispy sorry you're still getting the bleeding. Really hope things are okay. It's good there's no pain or cramping. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@Bluebelltulip that sounds like a lovely morning. Right now I just want an ice bath. Hoping baby isn't overheating in there. On tube at moment and it's murder.

@Ginmonkey84 judging by other posts all went well with the scan. Great news! Hope it helps with the anxiety levels dropping.

Where do you travel from @InDreamland?! I'm a central line user too, basically from east/Essex to Holborn. Maybe we pass each other!

InDreamland · 23/07/2019 16:16

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I'm right at the end of the line so always get a seat in the morning, also Essex. Thinking maybe we do pass each other. I change at Bank for the northern line.

We live to fight another day! Got quite emotional during the scan, which was a bit awkward as I was by myself (husband is a farmer and we're flat out with harvest). I'm measuring slightly ahead of where I thought, she's put me at 8+3. Strong HB, wiggling about like a good un. Back for another scan in four weeks, I'm just going to enjoy the brief interlude before the anxiety creeps back in again 😬

Great scan photos and updates @Frillyfarmer and @nzs2019!! Bloody fab news!

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 23/07/2019 17:11

Hope you're ok @Russkispy. Hope you get a better night and get seen quickly tomorrow xxx

nzs2019 · 23/07/2019 17:15

Further along , my dates go up every time I go it's crazy. Thought I was exactly 11 but measuring 11+5. Which is great. Baby was kicking legs all over the show.
After 2 consecutive losses in 6 months, this was the highlight of my year! Now I know there is hope. @InDreamland i hope everything is ok with you too? When's your next scan?

@Frillyfarmer congratulations 👌🏼 lovely picture.

Bluebelltulip · 23/07/2019 17:18

Congratulations on your scans @FrillyFarmer and @nzs2019. Being emotional is understandable

InDreamland · 23/07/2019 17:55

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue I'm now curious how close we are among the line. Guessing if you're Essex you must be north of Woodford?

@nzs2019 I'm back to being anxious again. Next scan on Saturday and dreading it.

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 23/07/2019 18:56

Haha @InDreamland! I'm in woodford! Where are you? Further along if you actually manage to get a seat in the morning I imagine?!

Haha @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue end of the line in Epping. I walk on the train and can pick any seat I fancy, oh the luxury 😉

Feel for you having to try get near the seats at Woodford. I'm so glad I'm end of the line. Lucky you though that you're in the catchment area for Trinity if you are looking at state schools. Think we're just on the edge so unlikely to get in although wonder if priests reference will help. It's there or Davenant for us unless we fork out for Bancrofts. Primary schools aren't brill up here. If I even get a baby in my arms. I researched loads last year in first pregnancy 😳

How did you find the heat on the tube this afternoon? It's hideous!
