@Newbie21 Great news about the scan! Yey! Sorry you couldn't get a photo though. They gave me my first one for free, but I had to pay £5 (!!!) for my second one. Not long until your next scan though, and you should get one then!
@FrillyFarmer I felt the same as you when I read the thread: If I miscarry this one I don't think I can go back on the other thread now. I was on the thread for a year and loved hearing stories from those who had 'made it' because it gave me hope... I don't actually think I'd have coped as well without some of the RMC ladies dropping back in now and then. Sorry if it made you feel crap. Hugs xx
Ahh, the pregnancy hang-over... it's crap but good at the same time because you feel like you should feel crap...
You won't feel like that every day. Make sure you're getting enough rest and enough fluids.
@FirstTimeMama91 I'm so sorry you're feeling crap lovely. I'm glad you have a scan booked in for tomorrow. Stay strong. I would ask them about the possibility of progesterone if the scan is looking good. www.tommys.org/our-organisation/research-by-cause/miscarriage/research-by-cause/miscarriage-trials
@Yukka It's good that you've spotted the veins if it's something you've been told to look out for. I know you're high risk, but the good thing is you're under specialist care and they are really clued up on the condition you have so hopefully they can avoid anything bad happening because of that. It must feel a bit scary stopping the aspirin, but everything is moving in the right direction! Not long to go now!!
@Beaglemum91 I'm off to France at the end of next week and I'm already a bit worried about the food situation!
I'm glad you got checked at A&E and that there was nothing to worry about. Don't feel bad about 'wasting' their time/resources... It's ALWAYS better to err on the side of caution when pregnant, and it gave you peace of mind for your holiday!
Definitely ask for a chair at work. They should comply as it's a reasonable adjustment.
@Siswishes Hi. Sorry for your loss. If you haven't had a period since the negative ICs then I would continue using ICs as your testing method until you get a strong positive or period arrives. The FRER are so sensitive they could be picking up left over HCG (although I hope it's a new pregnancy). It's still possible to ovulate with some HCG in your system. I hated all the testing and mind-games after surgical management when I had it. All you can really do is wait it out a bit longer, unfortunately (or as others have suggested, get bloods done by GP). But I hope things become clearer for you soon. And I hope you're doing OK emotionally. It's still early days so don't be surprised if you get sudden surges of sadness like waves crashing over you. They get further and further apart, but you just have to ride them like you're surfing.
@Dramaqueen14 Sorry you didn't enjoy your holiday as much as you would have liked, but hopefully you had lots of rest and vitamin D.
My midwife appointment went really well today.
The lady was lovely and very reassuring. We spoke a bit about how my anxiety had been really bad at the beginning of the pregnancy, but that I'd calmed down a lot. She said to absolutely bother them with anything like that because even if they can't do anything about the anxiety it can help to talk it through with someone. She was really supportive.
She's booked me in for my dating scan which is on 25th July (I'll be 12+5 from LMP, although 13 according to scans I've already had which is the date she was working from) .
I'll be seen by a specialist because of having been under RMC and recommendations from the gynae I saw for that (i.e getting cervix length checked as I had surgery on my womb several years ago).
Feeling really good emotionally today.
I got busted by a colleague at work... She heard me throwing up and whispered "are you alright?" "are you pregnant?" It's actually her last week at work this week (boo!) so I'm quite pleased she knows. She's really lovely, and I know she won't blab. I told her about the miscarriages too and she was lovely.
