Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Hi all! Whispering can I join please ! Had very very faint positives since Saturday (9dpo) and got a CB digital positive yesterday at 11dpo.
Had a MMC in March this year but trying absolute best to stay positive and try not to stress.

Congratulations everyone ! Hope we all have sticky healthy beans xxx

Newbie21 · 04/06/2019 11:07

@tisonlymeagain I had mild cramp/stretching feeling this morning and last night. I'm hoping it's a pregnancy symptom not an MC symptom! Other than that, nothing. Not even sore boobs. I'm only 16 DPO! So too early I think. Sickness etc usually kicks in around 6 weeks so still got another week and a half or so. I ovulated 4 days late last cycle so I can't really work out how many weeks I am, not sure when I count from?!

Bettythecat · 04/06/2019 11:08

Hi all- tentatively dipping my toe in here. I'm around 5 weeks- got my BFP last Thursday. This was my second pregnancy after a mmc earlier this year where it was diagnosed at my 8 week scan (baby had stopped growing around week 6). I am also pretty symptomless (and I was last time). Boobs are sore and bigger but other than that feel fine- not even tired. Hoping like you other ladies that it's not a sign of anything . Xx

@Lovemartina2012 I don't have any idea bout HCG levels, I've never heard of it really being done in the UK? I do remember reading somewhere that they can be very different depending on the woman though so I think the important bit is that they double, not necessarily the number you start with? I could be totally wrong lol Goodluck though :)

@gizmosslave Welcome! Congrats! Theres so many Feb babies due! Who is going to have the Valentine's Day baby then? lol. Facebook group sounds good :)

@Booksandstuff Welcome and congrats! :) Bet you're over the moon after such a long time :) So happy for you (and everyone!)

@tisonlymeagain @bessie84 Don't worry about symptoms, it's different for everyone! I think they're meant to kick in more around 6 weeks?

@Sparkle0109 Welcome and congrats! What's your EDD? :)

@Bettythecat Welcome and congrats! Sorry to hear of your loss, I lost my last pregnancy at 8 weeks too. Fingers crossed for all of us :)

gizmosslave · 04/06/2019 11:36

@Charm23 my EDD is Valentine’s Day 🤷‍♀️

Charm23 · 04/06/2019 11:41

@gizmosslave Just saw that on the FB page! I was due on Valentine's Day but was a week late :P

Marleym28 · 04/06/2019 12:01

Hi
Please can I join?
Af 'due ' tomorrow apparently but I've done 4 tests (some non sensitive to) all BFP with strong lines
Due date 9/10 feb

I'm petrified because I feel like It's a bit of a dream.

Also, anyone else turned into a monster? Lol
I'm such an Aggy PMs cow.
I can feel myself really short fused but also on the verge of crying.

Which really isn't me.

Chocol4te · 04/06/2019 12:07

Hi all, I have a quick question, we have a french bulldog who has back pains so usually in the morning I was lifting him and carrying him the stairs, so literally 10 stairs, 20 seconds, only once per day, he is like 13-14 kilos, I should be fine, correct?? It hurts my soul to see how's in pain when he's coming down the stairs ☹️

Lovemartina2012 · 04/06/2019 12:51

Hi all had appointment with my doctor she said my numbers is perfect booked in for more bloods Thursday and scan for 13 days and midwife at end of month so all looking good Smilehaving little pain but nothing bad doctor says it’s normal

bessie84 · 04/06/2019 13:01

Lovemartina2012 - good news :-)

Bettythecat · 04/06/2019 13:12

@Lovemartina2012 did you have your bloods taken on the NHS? Sorry for being late to the thread I'm sure you've said this already but wondering if all areas offer that- I don't think mine does.

@Chocol4te I think that's completely fine! Think of all the mums who have their second- constantly lugging their toddlers round and pranks etc. Your pup can't be doing you any harm- probably good to have a bit of exercise!

@Charm23 I'm sorry to hear that it's just awful isn't it. How many weeks are you now? Any symptoms?

Lovemartina2012 · 04/06/2019 14:03

Yes my doc nhs done bloods hcg count for me because in feb I had ectopic pregnancy so wanna see if numbers at normal range

Charm23 · 04/06/2019 15:32

@Marleym28 Congrats and welcome! Is this your first?

@Chocol4te I'm not sure but I have a 10 week old Labrador puppy who I'm forever carrying up and down stairs, rolling around on the floor with, running about in the garden with etc. I hadn't really considered picking him up to be 'heavy lifting' but did just read on baby centre that regularly lifting heavy loads in the first 12 weeks increases your chances of mc. Guess it depends on your definition of heavy. If it was your job to carry heavy loads all day then it might be an issue but I reckon its fine but that is just my opinion. Something to ask the midwife when you see her?

@Bettythecat I'm 5+3 today apparently. My EDD is Feb 1st but I bet that'll change!

TwistofFate · 04/06/2019 15:41

Just realised next year is a leap year, wonder if anyone joining this thread will have a baby on the 29th?

Charm23 · 04/06/2019 17:34

@TwistofFate Ooo is it? Well it could be any of us I suppose. My EDD is 1st Feb so from that it seems unlikely but dates can change / could go overdue. What would you do? Celebrate it on 1st March every 4 years?

hazandduck · 04/06/2019 20:34

Hi ladies please may I join you and ask for your opinions...

We have a DD 18 months old and I’ve been slightly reluctant to TTC again as I only stopped breastfeeding in Jan and felt like myself a bit again, so we’ve been having unprotected since she turned one, but just avoiding ovulation time really. (DH has no idea I was doing that lol.) He has been so keen to have another baby for months now.

Any who, in May I felt kind of ready and broody. So we did it over ovulation and I’ve just got a BFP as period is 2 days late!
The line came up instantly and I just got so excited on my own. DH is working late tonight and it is his birthday a week tomorrow...shall I not tell him until then as a bday surprise??

I’ve had two miscarriages before DD both at about 11 weeks it was awful, I am so anxious deep down but trying to ignore it x

Congrats to everyone here, here’s to a happy healthy 8 months! And so sorry to read of others’ losses too, it’s so hard to enjoy pregnancy after that x

Hall84 · 04/06/2019 21:04

Can I tentatively say hello please? Positive test today and Google says EDD is 10th Feb. I feel I should step away from Google now Grin wishing everyone a happy and healthy few months

lyndz887 · 04/06/2019 21:04

I got a bfp this morning at 11dpo. Already really nervous this girl will go wrong. 2nd pregnancy

Marleym28 · 04/06/2019 22:23

Hi, yes my first . Am I'm excited and nervous all mixed in.
weirdly I'm also really sceptical. It's Almost like I shouldn't believe it until someone official confirms 🤣

Not in a negative way but in a really want nothing to go wrong way

The past 2 days I've just been a right emotional aggy mess

Adelais · 04/06/2019 22:40

Hi everyone, I got my bfp today and due February 10th :). I’m feeling nervous as I had an ectopic pregnancy and tube rupture this time last year so hoping it’s in the right place this time.
Is anyone getting an early scan?

Marleym28 · 05/06/2019 06:50

Congrats @Adelais

Has anyone been getting cramps? Mine woke me up last night. Not for long (quick wee then fell back asleep)

How's everyone doing?

Bettythecat · 05/06/2019 07:10

@Adelais I booked an early scan at the EPU yesterday for when I'm 7 weeks. I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year so they offer it. I had an early scan last time too that I paid for privately but that's when we got the bad news. Will you be having one?

Also girls, is anyone still pretty much symptom free? Only symptom for me at the moment seems to be sore(ish) boobs and thirst. Driving myself a bit mad because not feeling more.

Marleym28 · 05/06/2019 07:56

@Bettythecat unfortunately not.
Most of my symptoms are hormonal I think (tired, ratty and v.small waves of nausea) oh and night cramps.
I didn't really have anything until now though.
My work has been really stressful & busy which could be the contributing factor.

When are you ladies telling your work?
Although it's so early I'm really toying with it in hope they can take some of the pressure off

lyndz887 · 05/06/2019 08:08

I've woken up to a horrible metallic taste in my mouth this morning. 12dpo today

Newbie21 · 05/06/2019 08:51

@Marleym28 also having cramps here. Worse at night. V uncomfortable for about 45mins last night but other than that generally just uncomfortable. I plan to get to 12 weeks without telling work but if it becomes stressful I will say something. I had my 2nd miscarriage whilst v stressed at work, it might have been unrelated but I now won't take any chances. If your work is overly burdensome and speaking to them will help then do say something. There are no rules about when to say. I think a lot of ladies hold off because they don't want work to know they are TTC in the event things don't work out this time. I didn't tell work I was pregnant but 2 of the miscarriages required me taking time off and one involved a d and c so I told them about those at the time so they have a good idea I'm TTC so I'm less sensitive about it.
