Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Hey all! New to all this business! Currently 8w2d & worried sick!
Everything has been all good up until now had 2 scans 1 at 5w5d and 2nd at 7w5d and saw our babies heartbeat! Taken us years to conceive so hoping everything will go well for us!!

Due around 16th feb 2020!
What are every one else’s symptoms - I have hardly any!! Lol xx

Cupcakes1234 · 08/07/2019 17:23

@sidney14 hi Hun. I have hardly any symptoms too. I feel a little sick in the mornings and quite tired (what's new with a 2 year old lol) but that's about it. I think I'm around 7 weeks but I don't know how far I am until I have a scan

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 17:28

Hi @Cupcakes1234!

Really, I have sore boobs a bit but nothing crazy have had a few cramps and a little nauseous but other than that I’ve been fine!

Is this your second baby?! How exiting! This is my first and I’m worrying about every little thing that something bad is going to happen but I have seen his/her heartbeat now so I know that’s a positive sign!

How was your first pregnancy? When are you due? Xx

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 17:29

@Cupcakes1234 just reread that! You don’t know how far until scan!! Ignore that one! Blush

lovesT · 08/07/2019 17:55

@sidney14 we are about the same, I think I am 8+2 and due date is currently Feb 15th 😊

I have had really sore boobs for weeks now, occasionally feel a bit sick and have gone off meat pretty much completely, also really tired and currently in tears for no reason! I don't feel sad just need a cry 😂 also my first baby! Congrats to you x

Cupcakes1234 · 08/07/2019 18:03

I had a few mild cramps last week but they have since stopped. Yeah this is baby number 2, I feel completely different this time. First time (little boy) I felt so sick all the time, never actually was sick, until about 16 weeks I was completely written off lol. But this time I'm nearly sick first thing until about 11 and then I'm fine until about 4 and I start feeling a little sick again but it passes quicker in the afternoon. Yeah try not to worry! You are over half way through the first trimester now and you've seen heartbeat so everything looks good!

Dweebette · 08/07/2019 18:40

Hi @sidney14 that's so exciting that you saw the heartbeat! I'm 7+6, first pregnancy. Boobs have gone up a full size in the past week and are tender on and off, lots of nausea but not being sick and the tiredness really hit on Saturday, standing up for 10 minutes leaves me exhausted. Feel like it's going to be much harder to hide at work now

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 18:54

@lovesT that’s so exiting!! Are you also beside yourself with nerves being your first or are you braver than me! Haha!

I had really sharp pains a couple of days ago but spent the day walking the day before so guess I just overdone it a bit! Have you got your scan booked?

@Cupcakes1234 oh maybe a little girlie this time! Lol as long as their healthy! I know I’m going well for timing just always see horrible things on google, you know what it’s like!

I couldn’t imagine what I’d be like if I hadn’t had a scan yet! It’s only as I was private as we were struggling - just about to start treatment and found out I was pregnant! After about 6 years!

@Dweebette that’s also exiting it’s your first! All so new and just don’t no what to expect! I’ve seen it twice! Was amazing! You’ll love it when you see yours! How long have you known? Feels like I’ve known a lifetime already I knew like almost a week before I was even due on!!! Haha x

Dweebette · 08/07/2019 19:18

@sidney14 I've known two weeks today, also feels like a lifetime and with at least another 4 weeks until my 12 week scan the temptation to pay for a private one is getting stronger! Trying to hold out as long as possible though. I can't believe how much my body is changing already, didn't expect such drastic changes so soon!

lovesT · 08/07/2019 19:33

@sidney14 yes exciting! I'm actually okay, I thought I would be way more nervous than I am and anxious about everything but I'm doing well! I think I have read so much about the strange things that happen so I'm almost expecting them. I'm still getting occasional cramps but mentioned that at my booking appointment and midwife wasn't worried.

Yes I have my scan booked for 5th August 😊 we're very excited. Do you have your scan date yet?

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 19:51

@Dweebette I know! It’s crazy isn’t it plenty more changes to come! Haha.
I 100% would recommend it puts your mind at ease, well does for that day anyway! But it’s so good to see they are developing how they should especially in these early weeks.
Have you told anyone yet? X

@lovesT I think I will feel a little better when I’ve seen a midwife and actually got all my questions out because I was through a private clinic although I have seen an ob/gyn and a sonographer I think I someone I can ask all my crazy questions and not feel under pressure lol! You sound like your doing amazing! No idea on nhs scan yet until I see midwife at the end of this week.

I’m guessing around the same time as yours Grin x

hazandduck · 08/07/2019 19:53

Ah @sidney14 how lovely for you after waiting all that time! My brother and SIL were similar, about 3-4 years, about to start investigations, then suddenly got pregnant with my dear little nephew.

I’m so tired it makes me feel queasy. House is a tip and I’ve barely cooked a thing for two weeks!! I feel so guilty on my daughter :( My tiredness peaked at about 10-11 weeks last time, I’m 9 weeks so hoping this feeling will pass in a couple of weeks! I feel like a bad mummy at the mo :( X

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 20:03

@hazandduck oh that’s lovely! I just want it all to go smoothly! I’m sure it will. Oh bless you with having a little one too. How old is she?!
I’m not that tired really, a bit but nothing substantial I really thought I’d feel so much worse! Did you get cramps with your daughter?
My house is also not up to its usual standard and my other half has had unloved dinners lol but it’s all gunna be worth it! I really wanna get exited but I’m still so nervous lol just a worrier, always have been! X

hazandduck · 08/07/2019 20:21

My daughter is 19 months. And she is nonstop 🙈😂 I had two miscarriages at 10-11 weeks before I had Matilda so I’m always anxious, but in each pregnancy I’ve had really bad cramps! Even with the healthy one. I actually nearly made my husband drive me to the hospital when I was about 7-8 weeks with her because it was so painful...turns out I just needed the toilet 😂 With this one we had a scan at 8 weeks and all was healthy and matched my dates! But I’m still so worried. However I only felt this rough/exhausted with my pregnancy that stuck. So touch wood it will be ok!

Are you going to have another private scan before your NHS 12 wk one? I’m tempted to lol x

sidney14 · 08/07/2019 20:41

@hazandduck oh that’s awful sorry to hear that! That’s quite far on as well, I though 10 weeks ish was on the up side!
Did you really! Ha I’d be the exact same yeah I’ve had a bad tummy quite a few times 😩 the joys!

I paid for a package which gave me 4 scans - I’ve already had two and I have my next one booked for 20th July! I can’t wait as that will be my 10 week one so then I might start to relax a little.

I would recommend it to anyone as at least you know what’s going on in there and it’s doing as it should 😊 xx

ImMeantToBeWorking · 09/07/2019 09:41

@Quirkyquichie I am in the sports bras full time too.

I am so sick yesterday and today, fighting back the puking. Today we have a meeting with one of the men from head office so I have to be on top form, but I so do not feel it. Yesterday I had very little to eat and so far today I have had nothing and the thoughts of food turn my stomach. Some change from the last few weeks when I ate everything in site all the time.

So feeling sorry for myself.

I hope everyone else is doing well!!

Lovemartina2012 · 09/07/2019 11:59

Haven’t been on recently been so busy with kids sickness really horrible at the moment can’t look at food anymore except pastes lol so plenty stocked up can’t eat anything spicy or I’m in the bathroom with it all coming bk up 🤮tired all day but on bright side had my booking appointment with midwife waiting on scan appointment witch should be between 11 weeks at 12 weeks 5 days and I’m 9 weeks 2 days today how every one getting on 😊

tisonlymeagain · 09/07/2019 12:57

Haven't updated on this thread in a while. Hope all you ladies are doing fine!

I am 9+6 today. Been feeling so nauseous and tired over the past few weeks, eating is a nightmare as have gone off everything. Keep thinking I am turning a corner as had a few days last week where I felt relatively human again but then it came back with a vengeance. Today is another "okay" day but I feel so tired and still no appetite. Sickness gets me from about 3pm onwards.

Had two scans already, booking appointment was done two weeks ago and have my Harmony test and scan on Saturday. So nervous. NHS scan at end of July and consultant appointment in August as I am consultant led which means I can't use the lovely new birthing centre Sad

Currently deciding whether to find out the sex of the baby or not as we can from the Harmony test. Such a hard decision. Didn't find out with my others but DP found out with his and he's leaving it all to me to decide!!

Dweebette · 09/07/2019 19:20

@sidney14 aside from DH we've only told my parents, sister and my personal trainer (to make sure I stay safe at the gym). I think you've convinced me on the private scan. Although I think my cramping is due to digestive issues I'd still like a bit of reassurance that the baby is in the right place and ticking away. 8 weeks today (though possibly only 7 as unsure of dates, thank you irregular periods) so think that's definitely far enough on to see a heartbeat.

Every day seems to bring something new with me, today I have a total aversion to meat. I forced myself to eat it but I was gagging through it. All I want is salt and vinegar crackers!!! Plus the exhaustion is killer, feel like I'm on another planet at work. And another one (and this one is gross, sorry), I feel like I'm spitting over everyone when I talk, so much saliva!!! 😳

purplefig · 09/07/2019 20:32

@Dweebette so weird - I keep choking on my own spit! Oh man, who said pregnancy was glamorous eh?!

@Bettythecat how're you getting on lovely? Haven't heard from you in a while x

@ImMeantToBeWorking how did the meeting go? So hard to be focused when you're feeling crap.

After chasing, I've finally got my booking appointment this Friday. Turns out the form I filled in got lost between the GPs and the midwife unit. At least it's sorted now.

Hope everyone had a better day tomorrow. I was feeling pretty OK today and managed to eat quite healthily...until dinner time. I've just baked a cake! 😂

lovesT · 09/07/2019 21:33

@Dweebette I have gone off meat for a few weeks now! When my husband makes his sandwiches with ham I have to get out of the kitchen because it looks so gross ... thankfully I haven't been sick yet but have nausea at times and aversion to food, I usually love food! Hope you're doing well with everything else 😊

Dweebette · 09/07/2019 21:42

@lovesT I really love food too but struggling now to find anything I fancy! Tonight I made myself 2 boiled eggs with a bit of cheese and some crackers and it was like a Michelin star meal 😂 likewise I haven't actually been sick either. I had a chat with my mum at the weekend and she said when she was pregnant she always had nausea, tiredness and dizziness - exactly what I have, so hoping I'm following in her footsteps and avoiding throwing up... Anyone know if it's linked to how your mother reacted during pregnancy?

Bettythecat · 10/07/2019 07:03

@purplefig hello lovely thanks for thinking of me 😊. I'm all good- 9+6 today and on holiday which is why I've been AWOL. Don't want to rub it in but I feel great- still have no morning sickness or much else in the way of symptoms to be honest! I've had a scan at 8+5 and all was looking good. I've booked another private one for Saturday morning when I'll be 10+2 too. How are you doing?

bessie84 · 10/07/2019 07:56

Morning people.

Does anyone else have a horrid taste in their mouth?

Im 11 weeks tomorrow. Booked in with midwife on monday and got my "12 week scan" date which is at 14+ weeks 🤔🤔

Like others, symptoms come n go. Some days im miserable. Others i make most of the lesser symptoms. Just that minging taste in my mouth that wont go x

purplefig · 10/07/2019 08:00

@Bettythecat ahh, the BEST reason for being AWOL. Glad you're feeling great and doing well, I'm not too bad either thanks, just some off and on nausea. I had a scan at 8+3 and all good, so I've chilled out a bit now. Enjoy your holiday!
