Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

@shoegalj how about a little home pamper session? Lock yourself in the bathroom, exfoliate, do a nice face mask, have a bath, moisturise, burn a nice candle and have a good cry if it'll help. Is there anyone you could share your news with to give you someone to talk to other than your OH? I think it would be good if you could get some support outside your relationship to maybe ease the pressure on you both. I really wish we could do more to help you!

JellyBaby666 · 05/07/2019 15:15

Why aren't you allowed a massage @shoegalj?

shoegalj · 05/07/2019 15:25

@JellyBaby666 my local beauty salon they're not insurance to give me massage and the pregnancy massage therapist says I have to be 16 weeks. :(

shoegalj · 05/07/2019 15:29

@Dweebette himself is going to the shops later I'm going to give him a list. One of my closest friends knows but she's got loads of her own stuff going on. My mum is a stresser so I don't want to worry her.

I'm tempted to tell one of my best friends as she was incredibly chilled in pregnancy. It's her birthday party 2 weeks tomorrow which is when I'm handing out cards to her and my girlfriends to announce them as aunties so I'm not sure I want to spoil that.

Might get an appointment to see my midwife next week and see what I can do to help.

I'm just so tired then get into bed and have the most horrendous anxiety and it keeps me awake for hours :(

JellyBaby666 · 05/07/2019 17:02

@shoegalj I thought you meant your partner wouldn't let you have one, sorry!

If you want to tell someone, tell them. I've told a few friends as I know I'd rely on them if something happened, and I also know that telling someone isn't jinxing it or asking the universe to smite the baby! Big hugs to you.

lyndz887 · 05/07/2019 17:15

I'm 8 weeks today and have managed ok so far, today has hit me like a truck I'm just being sick pure bile and feel so rough. It's really hard as my 3year old wants loads of attention and doesn't understand. She just cried because I was being sick and didn't want the pretend cup of tea she had made me. I'm on my own, I really hope today is a one off Confused

Quirkyquichie · 05/07/2019 19:24

Just got a bfp yesterday, had a feeling for around a week, but was a little bit frightened to face up and take the test. Previous to being pregnant, i liked the idea and didn't mind either way, but for whatever reason, fear and realisation hit me unexpectedly. Finally told partner, he was excited and told me to do the test when i was ready. So here i am, and he's over the moon. I worried for nothing.
This will be our first together, his 2nd and my 4th. Still over whelmed but excited. According to date checker and LMP im due 25 Feb, so around 6 weeks. Its been 5 years since my last child and I've forgotten almost everything

hazandduck · 05/07/2019 22:03

@NaomiSophia I’m sorry I read your post the other day and meant to reply to you as it sounds like you’re having a rough time! I would definitely go and see your GP as it sounds like you have excessive sickness and you can be given medication and should before you get too dehydrated! How are you feeling today?

Hope everyone else is well, sorry I’m a bit crap at keeping up with the thread! My Dd keeps pointing at my tummy and saying “Baby!” 🙈😂

Hopex92 · 05/07/2019 22:32

@purplefig I get what you mean. I've been stressed today as I'm not Bloated, my boobs don't feel as hard (tmi. Sorry), I don't feel sick etc.. And that scares me.. Its weird I hope I feel sick again soon as strange as that is to say!! :( anyone else feeling 'to normal'? I had scan at 8+1 and all was well. I'm 9+4 now, next scans 25th July.

AprilFernLouise · 06/07/2019 08:17

Hi all this is my first post and my first pregnancy! I'm 7+2 and currently my app says due very end Feb!! And it's a leap year!! I was at risk of ectopic due to previous pelvic infection so had an early scan a week ago. Had to have internal scan as also have tilted uterus and I saw the tiny flicker of a heartbeat! Have my midwife booking in appt mid July. My symptoms so far have been sore boobs and tiredness. Some days I have felt super anxious. We have already told both our mums which was the best thing ever they are over the moon. We are in our 30s and have been together 7 years so they were wondering if it would ever happen haha! Xx

Dweebette · 06/07/2019 09:00

@AprilFernLouise welcome and congratulations! I'm 7+4 so we're due at the same time! That's great that you've been able to tell the mums, I'm going to tell my mum today, I'm excited. Feeling absolutely horrible today though, hardly got any sleep (anyone else struggling with this? I'm waking a few times every night and up super early, 5am this morning) and I'm exhausted. Actually had to sit down on the stairs earlier when doing laundry, totally zapped. Feeling super nauseated too and very sensitive to smells so that's not an ideal combination. But other than that my anxiety seems to have quietened today which is a big plus 😊

JellyBaby666 · 06/07/2019 09:26

Welcome to the newbies!

Have booked our private scan, in 2 weeks! Can’t wait. How is everyone?

hazandduck · 06/07/2019 12:21

That’s exciting @JellyBaby666 how many weeks will you be for your private scan?
I’m 9 weeks tomorrow. The midwife just left from booking me in, she hadn’t seen my little girl since she was 10 days old! She’s now a crazy 19 month old who wanted to ‘help’ with all the paperwork! I forgot how many tests you have to have!
My next appointment with her will be at 16 weeks, crazy. Just got to wait for my 12 week scan letter from my local hospital now.
Midwife was excited I want a homebirth, it means she will actually deliver my baby this time, all being well!

Hope everyone is doing ok in the heat and eating their weight in ice lollies like I am!

InOmniaParatus13 · 06/07/2019 12:26

Afternoon!

Hiya and welcome to all the newbies ☺️

@JellyBaby666 so exciting that you’ve booked your early scan, hope the next couple of weeks fly by for you ☺️

@hazandduck - the relationship you have with your midwife sounds so lovely, it made me smile ☺️ A homebirth, so exciting!

I feel horrendous at the moment, ridiculously tired and this nausea and sickness is wiping me out! Currently living off ice cream and yogurt as it’s the only thing I can keep down 😂

Soda123x · 06/07/2019 12:59

Hi all. Please can I join this group too. Husband and I got our BFP on the last day of our hol (21st june). I track using CLUE and EDD going off ovulation date Is 26th Feb. This is our 1st so super exciting. We saw the midwife on Tuesday who going off 1st day of last period EDD as 21st Feb. I guess 12 week scan will determine correct date. After seeing midwife this week she said we have to wait for letter in post for booking appt and then from there they will make the scan appt.
From both dates I am 6+3 - 7+1 and apart from being super tired no other symptoms at all, but after reading through alot of posts I understand everybodies symptoms and pregnancies are different.
Congratulations to everyone else who has had there BFPs and good luck for us all in these next 8months xx

Quirkyquichie · 06/07/2019 14:54

Don't know about everyone else but im already living in a sports bra, it seems to be the only thing that stops my boobs hurting

Lotti1991 · 06/07/2019 16:02

Hello all,

I hope you don’t mind if I join too.

I’m also due in Feb 2020 😃

I’m 6+3 weeks today.

I have just started spotting last night, I can see it’s quite common but I am a little worried.

I think I’m going to book into the doctors on Monday just to be in the safe side.

Lovely to see how everyone else is getting on 💕

Alarae · 06/07/2019 18:12

After a disaster of a day yesterday where nothing stayed down (other than three bits of toast!) today has been a lot better. A flicker of nausea this morning but that went away by lunchtime, which I think was in part due to having an empty stomach.

Went for a birthday treat to have afternoon tea with tigers (behind glass of course!) and purchased a little soft toy for the nursery.

7 weeks today- let's hope more days like today and not like yesterday!

Dweebette · 06/07/2019 18:50

@Quirkyquichie I'm the total opposite, my sports bra absolutely kills me! I've always been really small busted but have gone up a full cup size in the past week, can't cope with any sort of pressure on them at all so wearing soft, balconette bras.

Had a nice day today as shared the news with my mum and stepdad and then last my sister, they're all delighted. My mum is so excited and wants me to keep her updated on every little thing. It's probably the first time I've properly let myself relax and get excited

lovesT · 06/07/2019 19:23

@Quirkyquichie that is exactly me! I went out and bought one of those vests with built in supposer because my boobs are SO sore 😭 when I'm not wearing a bra in the day I wear the top, all night .. they've been sore since ovulation, nearly 6 weeks! Is there any relief? Haha ... how many weeks are you?

Quirkyquichie · 06/07/2019 19:33

Going from LMP 6wk 4days. They started hurting about 2 weeks ago. My baby boob must have gone from A b cup to a d. So both boobs look massive now. I don't remember them ever being so sensitive before until after i had given birth

hazandduck · 06/07/2019 21:18

Oh god yes my boobs are feeling massive! I’m reluctant to give up my underwired bras yet because I only started wearing them again a few months ago when I stopped breastfeeding lol. They really do make my boobs look so much better. But that feeling at the end of the day when I take it off...oh my word 😂

Ah @InOmniaParatus13 you should see your gp about some meds you poor thing!! My best friend held off for 16 weeks but then ended up getting medication, the sickness finally calmed down at 20 weeks. May be worth seeing what you can take! My midwife is amazing I’m so lucky, she was trained by the midwife who delivered me at home 30 years ago, and I went to school with her daughter, she knows all my friends (live in a small village) and basically is just a lovely person who genuinely cares about women and their babies. I wanted her at my last birth and she came and saw me at home when I was in labour but in hospital it was a different team that took over my care and delivered my daughter. It feels a million miles away - I keep forgetting I’m pregnant!

We had my friend’s babyshower today at her mum’s house, she has a lovely big pool it was nice to splash about and keep cool all day! Can’t imagine being heavily pregnant in this heat 🥵

Quirkyquichie · 07/07/2019 01:09

was hoping the boobs would be the worst of it, but the sickness just kicked in about half hour ago. It'd be OK if i wasn't on a night shit, and it feels like im half a mile away from the nearest toilet. Good my head is spinning. Never had the sickness before, looks like im in for a treat.

Hope everyone else is well

Quirkyquichie · 07/07/2019 01:10

Night shift*

zme94 · 07/07/2019 08:25

@Soda123x we have the same due date :) well based off the nhs calculator anyway
