Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

@Franiie did you talk to to doctor about going on conterception while you were there? Might be an idea, I no none is 100% but the pill and a condom would go a long way to prevent unwanted pregnancy, STIs etc.

@Cupcakes1234 oh the scans are so exciting, at least then you will know exactly how far along you are. Have you got a date for one yet?

@InOmniaParatus13 at least you are on the mend!! Hopefully the antibotics don't take long to kick in! Funny I went to the toilet last night and I thought I felt one coming on, I thought it would have been because I am clearly ran down, but I seem to be OK today. I did google if I was able to take Cystopurin during pregnancy, but not without talking to a doc first but I seem to be OK today.

@shoegalj sorry to hear that your DP isn't being supportive. Did you say it to him? Next time he says anything call him up on it, you can't be listening to that for the next 8 months plus then when the baby is born!

Welcome to the new comers, the group is really expanding nicely! I am in this one and another one and it is a little hard to keep track everything is happening so fast! lol

shoegalj · 04/07/2019 12:33

Thanks @ImMeantToBeWorking and @JellyBaby666 for your support.

He's just very serious about some things, and money is all he seems to talk about. I mention an item I'd like and he says 'had one of those. Pointless and waste of money!' Just hard. I know he isn't being insensitive but I feel really alone right now.

Might speak to my midwife about it when he isn't with me.

I'm going to a pregnancy yoga group tonight which I'm hoping will start to get me out meeting new people and help with the loneliness.

Cupcakes1234 · 04/07/2019 14:23

No I haven't got a date yet. I'm booked In with the midwife on the 16th. But from what I remember with my first I had to wait after that for a letter to come through the post with a scan appointment on. I've tried to talk my partner into an early scan and that's definitely not happening lol

Cupcakes1234 · 04/07/2019 14:32

Also, is anybody is else seriously bloated at the moment. I have been bloating a little in the evenings but today I look like I'm 6 months pregnant! Serious bloat!

Dreams2020 · 04/07/2019 15:21

I’m very much bloated, had to even pop the trouser clips loose because I can’t breathe. 🥴🤣

JellyBaby666 · 04/07/2019 15:22

Oh god the nausea is horrendous today. Keep dashing to the loo thinking I'm going to be sick, I haven't been but I feel ROUGH Confused

Marleym28 · 04/07/2019 15:26

With you on the bloating, I literally don't know how I can hide it anymore. It got me really down a couple of days ago.

Had my booking appointment yesterday which was nice. As of yest, On the apps I'm 8+ 2 but she put me as 7+6 but she said they work it out averagely whereas my cycles are 24 ish days. She said to not really pay too much attention to it as when I have the first scan it'll be accurate then.
Just waiting for the appointment to come through...

BabySquid · 04/07/2019 16:05

@Marleym28 I hate that they work it out averagely because on a regular 28 day cycle I'd be 9+1 but after my early scan at EPAU and due to my 33/34 day cycles I'm actually only 8 weeks today!

@Cupcakes1234 I'd try again talking him into an early scan, you can get groupon deals so maybe there's one near you, mine this weekend is only £40 and it means we have a scan pic to show our parents when we tell them.

Also, def with you all on the bloat! I've moved from jeans to jeggings, some days even leggings! Baggy tops for work and then let it all hang out when I get home 😂

purplefig · 04/07/2019 17:12

Glad it's not just me with the bloating - it's so uncomfortable and I look so much more pregnant than I am!

Cupcakes1234 · 04/07/2019 17:49

Glad it's not just me 😂 I don't remember being this bloated first time! Unless I've forgotten about it 🙈 I actually felt great this morning (which was a little worrying as I had been feeling sick before) but the tiredness hit me this afternoon and I had to have a lay down

Cocopoppinkorblue · 04/07/2019 19:28

Currently sat in my underwear on the sofa because the bloating is so bad and jeans are the devil's clothing!
I have to leave for work in 20 mins when all I want to do is sleep.
I'm a PT and gym wear right now is not my friend. Don't want clients to know I'm pregnant but how the hell do I hide the belly in lycra 😅 and trying to demo a burpee without actually burping is a skill I never knew I would have to master 🤣

That imagery is for anyone having a rough day that needs a laugh at my expense lol x

shoegalj · 04/07/2019 20:34

Thank god i'm not the only bloating sufferer! My midwife said it's because your uterus pushes your stomach up and that causes slow digestion and your belly to stick out. I look obviously pregnant and trying to find loose stuff Is a challenge.

The jeggings in next (£20) are fantastic!

Bluebarry · 04/07/2019 21:00

I'm totally in the bloat boat too! I've had to rethink my work outfits. My belly is really poking out and I feel puffy all over. DP is teasing me saying I'm baking a extra big baby. I'm very relieved to know I'm not the only one and that there is a sensible reason for it @shoegalj. Constipation is a new experience, I'm going to treat myself to some prunes on the weekend.

shoegalj · 04/07/2019 21:12

@Bluebarry Finding walking, yoga and peppermint tea is really helpful. Having a mint tea every night before bed.

Sadly I am getting some horrendous wind and my fiancé saying that i need boron dropping on me like the did on the nuclear reactor in Chernobyl. Asshole. Angry

Bluebarry · 04/07/2019 22:09

@shoegalj just read your message to my DP and he's having a big laugh.
I'll pick up a box of Peppermint tea tomorrow x

KimKardash · 04/07/2019 22:30

Glad to read a few others struggling at 8 weeks I was hit with awful nausea today and so emotional nearly cried at work had to walk out and go round the block a few times to compose myself, felt like I was going to pass out at my desk then home for a huge row with DH because he couldn't be arsed to get DS from nursery even though I was feeling so ill. We've had a few rows recently due to my emotional hormonal outbursts hope this will calm down soon!!

purplefig · 05/07/2019 07:22

Does anyone else experience symptoms coming and going? I've felt nauseous from about week 7 but it's pretty on and off. Some days are bad but last two days I've felt basically fine?

Cupcakes1234 · 05/07/2019 07:59

@purplefig omg YES!! I've been feeling this. Last couple of days I've felt fine apart from the bloating! It makes me paranoid but I'm just trying to trust the process

purplefig · 05/07/2019 08:07

@Cupcakes1234 I got a lot from reading a current thread about disappearing symptoms. Lots of heavily pregnant women in there saying it's normal for them to come and go. It's frustrating isn't it? If you're not feeling sick....you're sick with worry!

InOmniaParatus13 · 05/07/2019 08:32

Slept for 12 hours last night and could quite happily go back to bed, this tiredness is something else 😂
I’m really struggling with hot meals, the moment i turn the oven on to cook, my nausea just goes through the roof 🤢 I can’t keep living off ice cream and snack a jacks though 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Hope everyone is well x

Alarae · 05/07/2019 10:49

No nausea for the past couple of days so I had taken full advantage of eating without worry!

Thought it had gone and nope- just had to run upstairs (thankfully WFH today!) and for the first time, was actually sick. Not pleasant Sad

Dweebette · 05/07/2019 13:26

Yes to the bloating!!! Sorry for the overshare as well but I'm super constipated, not something I've ever experienced before but it is agony. Had pretty bad nausea yesterday but it's very mild today. It's the emotions I'm finding the hardest to be honest, DH doesn't know how to deal. Feels like I'm panicking and crying constantly, not exactly the picture of the happy expectant mother!

InOmniaParatus13 · 05/07/2019 14:41

Gone from nausea to throwing up, never having orange juice or hummus again 🤢🤢🤢

shoegalj · 05/07/2019 14:48

Well I've just burst out crying because I'm not allowed a massage. Feeling really down today. Just wanted a bit of a pampering and a relax but nope not allowed.

Finding it really hard to talk to my fiancé, we have his kids all weekend and I'm just feeling so alone and unsupported.

Any tips to make me feel better?
