Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Hi @Weenumpty. I recognise you from the IVF May/June thread. Congratulations! So pleased to hear your first round worked, mine did too. I’m now 7+3. Feeling equal measures of nausea and anxiety! Hope the sickness isn’t too bad.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 26/06/2019 12:51

@InOmniaParatus13 so the 7up isn't working then?? Hopefully after a few days they don't all realise that you are sick most days!

@Weenumpty Congrats. That is brilliant that you got pregnant first try. My friend recently got married. They are going for their first round of IVF in Sept or Oct. I am hoping that they get pregnant quickly. I am actually dreading telling her because they have tried for so long to get pregnant. I know she will be happy for me, but no doubt sad at the same time for herself.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 26/06/2019 12:54

@Alarae do not worry about the lack of symptoms, I keep thinking the same myself but I know they will come full on at some stage! Here's hoping they stay away for a bit longer!

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 13:11

@ImMeantToBeWorking - nope the 7up did nothing! Thankfully I wasn’t sick but I think they are starting to notice me feeling sick constantly and having to dash to the loo to wee loads! I think they will click on soon!

Is anyone else suffering from dizziness? Feels like my head is spinning 😫

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/06/2019 13:15

Hi all. I’ve been lurking for a while as it took a few weeks to sink in that this is happening. I’m 42 with a four year old and this is completely unplanned. Think that also makes me the oldest here Confused It’s also not great timing for a number of reasons but beginning to work through the raised issues, I’m due 10th so currently just over 7 weeks. Also no symptoms so that’s worrying. Getting an early scan next week due to previous miscarriages. So hello all, I know how much help and support we’ll give each other!

JellyBaby666 · 26/06/2019 13:31

I don't want to be a moaning Minnie but my god, I feel another level of rough. I'm not sleeping great, my boobs are massive and tender, and I feel so sick and so tired. I'm 5+2, will it ever end?!

JellyBaby666 · 26/06/2019 13:32

@Alarae Sending you a big hug, I know exactly how you feel re: risk of miscarriage and how attached you feel. My partner keeps telling me - you've reduced your caffeine intake, you're not drinking and you're taking pregnancy vitamins, you're doing everything you can do to keep the little bean safe, so trust yourself and the changes you've made.

Repeat over and over because you're anxious... (this is me, not you!)

Cocopoppinkorblue · 26/06/2019 14:54

Hi all.

I've been lurking for a while still pinching myself I'm actually pregnant. I had multiple progesterone tests this cycle and was told I did not ovulate but seems they were wrong. Going by LMC I'm 7+6 but have an early scan on Friday as really we have no idea. Symptoms are kicking my backside and I have never been this tired before!

So happy for those with recent positive tests and scans and lots of love to those who have not been so fortunate x

hazandduck · 26/06/2019 15:44

@JellyBaby666 @Alarae I feel you I was obsessed with miscarriage stats in my first pregnancy. I did miscarry that one and the next so by the third I just tried to not even think about it, I just did all the things I’d done before like cut back caffeine, take the vitamins etc. I realised no matter how much I tried and was good I could still lose the baby any way. As awful as that is it is kind of freeing because you know it isn’t your fault at all and nothing you did could’ve stopped it. I blamed myself for ages but it was nothing I did! Just not meant to be. And if it wasn’t for those 2 losses I wouldn’t have my beautiful little girl. So I’m trying to be positive this time and know it is out of my hands whatever happens! I hope this is reassuring for you both and doesn’t have the opposite effect! X

Savvysaz · 26/06/2019 16:03

@Alarae I haven't had any symptoms either. I'm only 4+5 though.

ImMeantToBeWorking · 26/06/2019 16:21

@InOmniaParatus13 hopefully not too soon!! I have bought a jar of decaf coffee for the kitchen, but I was saying a few weeks ago (before BFP) that I wanted to cut back on coffee, not sure if they will notice my changes in appetite though. Yesterday lunch went in the bin but I couldn't stop eating!! Who knows, they are men so prob (hopefully) not! lol

JellyBaby666 · 26/06/2019 16:40

@hazandduck No it is reassuring, to know it's normal and something other women experience too. I'm sorry for your losses Flowers

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 16:41

Ugh, I’ve just had to sit through a 2 hour long meeting thinking I was going to be sick, thankfully made it through! Dying for a wee now too haha and got the long commute home to look forward to!

@immeanttobeworking - I’ve had a couple of people asking why I’m weeing so much, I just lied and said I have a UTI! I work with a lot of men too, so here’s hoping they don’t notice! I’ve been getting my usual Starbucks and going to work with it, but I’ve bern getting decaf, not that anyone will notice!

hazandduck · 26/06/2019 17:07

@InOmnia tell them you’ve got the shits that’ll stop them asking 😂

hazandduck · 26/06/2019 17:08

Ah thank you @JellyBaby666 I am honestly ok with it all now and count my blessings all the time. X

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 17:23

Hazandduck that would definitely work 😂😂

My train was delayed by half hour because someone had a heart attack, I’m crying, bloody hormones! He’s been taken to hospital and we’re moving now so hopefully he’ll be okay!

Marleym28 · 26/06/2019 17:53

I don't want to jinx it but ginger ales been helping me with the nausea @InOmniaParatus13

I've been putting it in a travel mug so no one knows any different x

JellyBaby666 · 26/06/2019 18:28

I’ve been trying ginger tea, have also tried camomile and peppermint - nothing has helped as yet! I might give ginger ale a go! I feel so weepy today 😭

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 18:35

@Marleym28 I will give ginger ale a go, and putting it in a travel mug is a genius idea, thank you ☺️ X

KimKardash · 26/06/2019 18:35

Seeing a lot of nausea and thought I would post some tips since I had it really bad last time and feel like I'm managing a bit better this time, especially on the commute - hope it helps someone! Boiled sweets to suck on, polos, sips of water and also not wearing anything tight on the tummy are all working for me... also lemonade and said and vinegar crisps! I've been doing the hair band trick for ages which is basically looping a hairband through the button hole on jeans/trousers and then hooking it on to the button - gives a bit more comfort with all the bloating and nausea!

TwistofFate · 26/06/2019 18:57

Hello @Weenumpty! I recognise you from the infertility board. Congrats! My 8 week scan is on Friday and I'm so nervous because I've read way too many posts on here about MC and MMC. I was so convinced that IVF wouldn't work that I didn't realise how nerve-wracking getting a BFP and getting through the first trimester would be. Confused

Lovemartina2012 · 26/06/2019 19:40

Just want a pregnancy moan Grin this heat is really nearly the death of me feeling so fat already even tho only 8 weeks midwife couldn’t believe it to point people notice I’m pregnant 🤰 this is baby number 4 and pregnancy number 12 miscarriage and ectopic but on bright side I have 3 health kids and one on the way also dry hair oily skin really not feeling the best with energy forever tired and alway moaning 🤣

muddypuddlejumping · 26/06/2019 20:30

I've had my booking appointment which lasted over an hour! Was useful though and my midwife was so nice.

Decided to book an early scan for next week (probably because I'm jealous of everyone else's!) and it's so hard to hide the bump! I'll be 10 weeks by then.

It's all feeling a lot more real 😁

InOmniaParatus13 · 27/06/2019 06:00

Morning lovely ladies! Grin
Thank you for all the tips on nausea, I’m going to be giving most of them ago today! About to set off for my fun commute, hopefully the nausea stays away!
Managed a yogurt and a smoothie which is better than most mornings, I struggle eating this early though!
Have a lovely day everyone!

Le16 · 27/06/2019 07:51

Hi just wondered if I could join you lovely ladies. From the pregnancy calculator I'm due 10th February 2020. 2nd baby, my little girl will be 3 in September so hoping its a nice age gap. Got my booking appointment with midwife this afternoon. Feeling quite anxious as my little girl was born very premature at 25 weeks due to an infection, then last year we lost a baby at 18 weeks due to a severe brain condition so I'm just hoping this pregnancy will be better. Hope you're all feeling well x
