Hello ladies,

Early days, due my period today and had a BFP since DPO11. It is progressing and my period hasn't arrived so I'm hoping this is a sticky baby! Anyone else recently this week got their BFP? Be nice to have a little group going x

Well everyone after crying the whole way to the early scan I can say that all went well. I seen the little baby and his/her wee heart was going strong ❤️. I'm 8+1 so due early Feb 2020 ❤️🥰

InOmniaParatus13 · 25/06/2019 13:33

Fantastic news @Hopex92 so happy for you 😊 x

ImMeantToBeWorking · 25/06/2019 16:25

@JellyBaby666 Boots had 3 for 2 on vitamins so I stocked up on the whole 9 months of pregnacare!! I hope I don't tempt fete. Just a word of warning, I was taking them first thing in the morning and I was constipated for 3 or 4 days, I now take them after work and no problems, apparently it is due to the iron in them (according to a google search!)

@InOmniaParatus13 ugh who does their nails on public transport, especially at commuter time.

I am not nauseous most of the time, but I have made something for my lunch for the week (mini fritas with red pepper, mushrooms and tomatoes), and it is turning my stomach - think it could be the red peppers! Going to have to bin them later and make something else.

@Hopex92 that's great news!!

SamRwl · 25/06/2019 16:31

So after a private scan last Friday telling me I was going through a missed miscarriage and to expect the worst to happen I have just had a scan at EPU and everything us absolutely fine I'm 3 weeks earlier than I expected but healthy little bean at 6+1 with a strong heartbeat!!
I went in expecting the worst and had already gone through the options of missed miscarriage, I burst out crying when I saw the little heartbeat I just can't believe it xx

BFP - Anyone else due February 2020?
JellyBaby666 · 25/06/2019 16:51

@Hopex92 That's lovely news, so pleased it all went well!

@SamRwl I can't imagine how lovely and surprising everything was! Lovely scan photo, so pleased you saw the heartbeat!

@ImMeantToBeWorking They taste SO foul don't they, I've been taking them in the evening before bed thankfully. Superdrug had 3 for 2, I could have bought bigger boxes I just felt I couldn't do it. I'm having a private scan in just over 3 weeks, once that's done and I know everything's okay (as okay as it can be) I'll stop thinking 'Please stick around little seed!'

InOmniaParatus13 · 25/06/2019 17:00

@ImMeantToBeWorking ugh I know right, she was doing all her makeup, nails and spraying perfume!
My nausea seems to be worse in the evening, through the night then very first thing in the morning! Ooo maybe it’s the peppers making your stomach turn, they have a very distinctive smell!

@SamRwl what a lovely surprise for you and lovely picture too, I’m so happy for you!

So I rang the private scan place and they have booked me in for the 1st July which is next Monday yay, at 1.30pm. I’m so excited to see my wee jellybean again and get some pictures this time! Paid the £20 deposit today, so just need to pay £20 on arrival, I couldn’t resist for that price! I said to them I only measured at 6 weeks yesterday, and in theory I’m 7 weeks today from the LMP. They said they go off LMP so in theory I’ll be 7+6 when I go, but in reality I’ll be 6+6 unless they get a different measurement!

I keep welling up at how different yesterday could have gone, bloody hormones haha

ImMeantToBeWorking · 25/06/2019 17:18

@SamRwl that is brilliant that they put your mind at rest. I am so jealous of everyone getting early scans. I got a letter from the HSE yesterday, and I was excited thinking it was going to be my appointment. Nope, just a letter to say that the doc had registered me!

@JellyBaby666 Ireland is just so expensive for everything it made so much more sense to buy the 9 months!! So fingers crossed it sticks!

@InOmniaParatus13 you should have asked her to stop, tell her that it was effecting your morning sickness and you might vomit on her!! I can't even think about them or the smell without gagging. That's great about your early scan.

JellyBaby666 · 25/06/2019 18:05

My manager asked me if I was okay today as I was shattered today and it probably definitely showed! I hate lying to people!

Charm23 · 25/06/2019 18:30

@SamRwl @InOmniaParatus13 @Hopex92 Excellent need ladies! So pleased for you all x

Welcome and congrats to all the newcomers!

So many Feb babies due. Wonder if any one will have twins? :D

Msmercer · 25/06/2019 19:04

Hey, I am due 14th Feb 2020! Soooo nervous and worried at the moment. First scan on Sunday so hoping that calms me down

hazandduck · 25/06/2019 19:59

@Msmercer I have my first one too on Sunday, we can send one another a virtual handhold x I keep trying to tell myself what will be will be. I’ve already started the mad boob prodding to check if they feel sore still! I must look mental. They aren’t that sore but they are bloody huge. I keep getting quite obvious stares at them which both annoys and embarrasses me!

hazandduck · 25/06/2019 20:01

Ah so happy @SamRwl I was so devastated for you after your last update. How absolutely wonderful ❤️
Great news on your scan too :) @Hopex92 not long now really til your 12 week one! x

Alarae · 25/06/2019 20:21

In a bit of a pickle.

Booked an early scan for the beginning of August when I will be around 10 + 5, so I can get a scan photo to announce my pregnancy to my mum for her birthday.

Only issue is that it is two hours away from home (on way to parents) so needed to leave at 4pm on Thursday to make my appointment. I've just realised today I am two hours from home in the other direction!

Im going to have to ask if I can leave work at 2pm but I am supposed to be leading training 2-3pm that day. I know my manager will let me out early if I tell her why, but that breaks the cardinal 12 week rule!

Such bad timing. I doubt I can push the training earlier either without giving a reason why either.

JellyBaby666 · 25/06/2019 20:31

Can you just say hospital appointment and leave it a bit vague?

Bluebarry · 25/06/2019 21:55

Also due on 14th Feb I had my early scan this evening, happy little heartbeat, it's so reassuring. Don't have that feeling like accidently I'll sneeze it out anymore.

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 08:00

Morning!
Just on my commute to work and the nausea is strong today 🤢
I’m trying to get ahold of the gp to get registered with the midwife, but they aren’t being very helpful at the moment!
Hope everyone is well :)

ImMeantToBeWorking · 26/06/2019 09:05

@Bluebarry 😂😂😂😂 I have severe hayfever, and I am always holding my tummy when I sneeze incase the baby moves!!

@Alarae alot of people have to break the 12 week rule for different reasons, I would not be worried about it too much. Two of my friends know and my DP as good as told his sister at the weekend. (Sister asked jokingly when the babies were coming and he couldn't hide the look on his face so she guessed!)

ImMeantToBeWorking · 26/06/2019 09:06

@InOmniaParatus13 that sounds awful. Hopefully it does not last too many more weeks, or you find something that cures it!

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 09:09

@ImMeantToBeWorking thankfully I didn’t have the woman painting her nails on the train today! I seem to cope better on the train than on the bus, I think it’s because the bus is constant stop start! Someone told me to drink 7up when I feel nauseous, so I’ve got a bottle of that on hand. Hopefully this doesn’t last the whole 9 months 😂 it will be worth it in the end!
I don’t know why this baby loves gherkins so much, it’s all I want 😂😂

ATHOMPSON8812 · 26/06/2019 09:12

Hey!

I'm due the 26th Feb following a miscarriage in Jan and a chemical pregnancy in march. So excited but nervous at the same time. I already have a little boy who will be 2 in Feb also. Fingers crossed its our lucky month!

I'm considering booking an early scan for peace of mind as when I miscarried the baby stopped growing at 9 weeks but I didn't start bleeding until 11+4. I'm also going on holiday to Spain when il be 10 weeks, I don't think il be able to relax about going without seeing a heartbeat first.

Has anyone flown in the first trimester before?

tisonlymeagain · 26/06/2019 10:17

As a reminder to anyone who wants to join the "secret" FB group - can you private message me either the email address attached to your Facebook account and/or your real name and a description of your profile pic so I can locate you. I will need to add you as a friend to add you to the group!

SamRwl · 26/06/2019 10:18

@tisonlymeagain how do you send a private message ?xx

Weenumpty · 26/06/2019 10:42

Hi everyone, this is such a huge thread that I haven't read it all, just hoping it's ok to jump on! I'm 5weeks 5days pregnant after out first round of IVF. Feeling exhausted as I'm not sleeping well at all, up several times a night to pee! And this morning I've been struck with sickness Envy
Has anyone else been through IVF to get their positive? I thought that was stressful but the worry of actually being pregnant is insane! We have an early scan on 5th July and I can't wait!

InOmniaParatus13 · 26/06/2019 10:50

Currently hiding in the toilets at work thinking I’m going to throw up any minute now 🤢 people keep commenting on how pale I am too which is lovely 😂

Alarae · 26/06/2019 11:16

I think I have been reading too many things online and I am driving myself nuts researching the risks/odds of miscarriage.

I haven't got overbearing sickness or other symptoms so it is making me feel as if something could be wrong. It might be calm before the storm (I'm only 5 + 4) but even though it was a shock to fall pregnant so quickly, I'm rather attached to my little egg and would be devastated if something happened.

Trying to convince myself to wait until my private scan at 10 weeks, but I keep researching other clinics near me. They are all around £70 which is a cost I can't really justify at the moment as we need to save hard.

It's difficult that the only person to talk to day to day is my OH, and he's not the most understanding as he didn't realise that the worst symptoms happen in the first trimester, not the last! Gaah.
