MadeInCornwallx3 · 01/06/2019 21:53

Good luck for tomorrow @Moonriver83 !

Come on babies!

sh13 · 02/06/2019 05:11

Hope everyones ok , I had a small bleed tonight went up hosp an popped on monitor and baby’s heart rate dropped so they want to induce me Sad haven’t slept yet still being monitored on and off 1cm dilated with contractions , feeling pretty scared of the pain of induction and was looking forward to a natural water birth , but I’m guessing everyone feels that way with interventions x

@sh13 all the best today -I wanted
The same in pool and heading in today too to be induced. Haven’t slept but think positive-you’re in the best place and it might just mean moving things along a little quicker-you’ll meet baby soon xx

RC000 · 02/06/2019 07:14

Good luck @sh13 - i totally understand but you are in best place to both be looked after. Looking forward to hearing news of yours and @moonriver83 babies! Good luck!

40+1 and nada here! Apart from a few BH in night nothing Angry

Hello ladies!
Just popping back to update.
My beautiful baby girl was born on 29/05/19 at 10.46am, she was 8Ibz4ozs
She's absolutely beautiful and was out of hospital just over 24 hours later
I have really struggled as she is slightly tongue tied and struggled to latch once milk started coming in so I'm having to express and feed through a bottle and top up with formula as as she is always hungry the little chunk, formula seems to settle her abit better over night too as she was having me up constantly and it's really worn me out
I have come out in the most horrendous coldsore/potential impetigo across my top lip I'm now petrified to hold her and go near her so I've been quite down that she will think I don't love her anymore after so much bonding over the first few days. My mom and husband have really helped but I can't help but feel useless and really guilty that I have neglected her.
This mummy life is really hard I just want her to wrap her up in bubble wrap and pretect her 😢
Congratulations to all you ladies that have had your babies ❤️

RC000 · 02/06/2019 12:56

Huge congratulations @lelrx That sounds a tough few days but be very kind to yourself and you will heal/all will be okay. Flowers

Moonriver83 · 02/06/2019 20:06

Congratulations @lelrx my first little girl was small and had tongue tie and the only way I could ever breastfeed her was with a shield (little shield that goes over nipple and baby takes
Milk) it was a faff sometimes but worked! Hope you're doing okay @sh13 and @rc000 at least the BH are getting things ready! Am
In hospital overnight now and currently bouncing !! It's a slow process because I was perhaps not quite ready yet-come
On babies be kind to us and show up nice and efficiently please!

Moonriver83 · 02/06/2019 20:09

And thank you @madeincornwallx3... is this your third
Too? Can do this! Sending good luck vibes x

MadeInCornwallx3 · 02/06/2019 20:24

@Moonriver83 Thank you!

Yes it's my third! I'm heading for my second sweep tomorrow so fingers crossed that gets things moving! Will be 39+3.

RC000 · 03/06/2019 06:45

Any babies? I think I am actually getting fewer symptoms Sad Off for a sweep this morning and going to try to push midwife re limit for induction as dont want to get past 41 weeks with an already 9lber Confused

fee1234 · 03/06/2019 09:12

Still nothing from me 😩 today is my due date but my next midwife appointment isn't until Wednesday.

Officially tried everything, even tried to tempt fate by going to see a film at the cinema followed by a nice meal last night.

Slicedpineapple · 03/06/2019 15:08

Joining those waiting for babies on this thread. I am 38 weeks and feeling a bit fed up, willing baby to hurry up now! I have MW on Thurs, I wonder if she will offer me a sweep? No idea when they do that here. She didn't mention it so I imagine 40 weeks, but if she offers it, I will take it. Had some painful BH for about 3 hours the other night and thought that was it but sadly they subsided.

RC000 · 03/06/2019 17:26

Had sweep - uncomfortable! Cervix was still posterior but she moved forward and felt baby's head but only 1cm which is usual for second babies. Another on weds!

Any more babies?!

Jellybum2019 · 03/06/2019 18:10

Having my second sweep tomorrow (where I will be one week past my due date) but not expecting much change as I’ve had no signs at all! Last sweep my cervix was too high so she couldn’t do a lot. No inkling of any aches/pains/cramps or a show or anything at all to indicate things are nearing the end. Will be induced on Sunday if nothing happens before then, was hoping for a water birth in a birthing suite but I feel like that’s 99% not going to happen so trying to prepare myself for fact I’ll be induced and try to find a positive mindset for it! I was as prepared and calm as I think I could be for a natural birth so need to try and make sure I feel like that way about being induced by Sunday! Praying for a miracle tomorrow where she tells me my cervix has moved and chances are I’ll go naturally before the weekend.

MadeInCornwallx3 · 03/06/2019 18:20

Also had a second sweep today.

I'm 3cm - but still no labour! 😫

Slicedpineapple · 03/06/2019 19:34

Am I being optimistic to think painful BH and extreme tiredness/moodiness are a sign that things aren't far away?

I have been to the supermarket tonight and very disappointed that they don't sell vindaloos, so madras it is. I hope I'm not giving baby her eviction notice too early at 38 weeks!

Moonriver83 · 03/06/2019 20:31

3cm is good @madeincornwall 3! Have you had any contractions? I'm still waiting ...the propess didn't do much 24 hours on so next it's onto breaking waters and dreaded drip-apparently you can still use the pool (if free). Lost it a bit today so have to gear up to tomorrow-wishing you all very best-our hospital is so busy-queues for induction bay and labour suite -so many June babies!!

sh13 · 04/06/2019 07:13

Hi everyone so I had my baby on Sunday night after a bleed ..my labour was horrific to say the least , not meaning to scare anyone by saying that so sorry if I do ... but I started off with induction drip Sunday night after contractions with no more progression .. baring in mind had not slept since fri night so was not coping well. Consultant told me majority of ladies opt for epidural in this case as it’s such a ramped up pain, I tried my hardest to not have one which was silly of me really as have not felt pain like it , after being examined to be told I’m only 2cm I got hysterical and just as I gave in to having the epidural I felt the worst pain of all which was like an intense contraction around babies head that wouldn’t go then it all goes blurry in my mind as the rush of people coming in ...baby nearly died as heart rate dropped so low, we found out later cord was covering his face so he couldn’t breathe. I then got put to sleep for emergence section. But my baby is safe and I couldn’t be more in love. Still in hospital with an infection in the lung and cervix and bladder retention, this is my far the most overwhelming and scary thing I have ever gone through but so grateful my baby is safe and couldn’t be more in love , he is worth every second of pain !! also midwives are amazing ! xxx

Oh my goodness @sh13 that sounds very scary. Sending love and a speedy recovery to you. You are very brave Flowers

Good luck with second sweep @jellybum2019 let us know how it goes. I have my second one tomorrow at 40+4. No feelings after first one apart from some mucus and feeling of pressure. Sigh!

@madeincornwallx3 3cm is great! I was only 1cm! Any more signs?

Good luck @moonriver83

Smile come on babies

MadeInCornwallx3 · 04/06/2019 10:00

@sh13 Oh my goodness that does sound traumatic!! Glad you are both ok though and congratulations on your beautiful baby!!!

@Moonriver83 How are you getting on? Any progress? Thinking of you!

@RC000 no more progress contraction wise 😭. Still losing bits of plug and waiting for things to start. Going to have a bath with clary sage then go for a walk. It's so frustrating at the moment, feel like I'm in total limbo!

Littleguggi · 04/06/2019 10:53

@sh13 that sounds awful, hopefully you can ask for a debrief when you're feeling up to it! Congratulations btw, it is an amazing feeling isn't it xx

RC000 · 04/06/2019 11:59

@MadeInCornwallx3 I feel like I am going mad and will be pregnant forever! Who said second babies came sooner than first?! Very worried about size. Midwife said v unlikley to get early induction despite already being 9lb. Fantastic.

sh13 · 04/06/2019 22:43

Thank you still in hospital unfortunately 😞 lucky he is such a good baby crying wise , @Littleguggi
I’ve heard about that , how do I go about getting a debrief ? X
